Chapter Twenty.
Tumblr media
Shadow
I stood staring at my front door, just shaking my head. Normally I would’ve bugged the fuck up on Mosadi, but truthfully my mind and body were still on a high from the night before. Her reaction to Stoni not only let me know that I wasn’t the only feeling some type of way, but it definitely let me know Mosadi had began to become territorial over me. That shit made my mind race and my dick hard. The more time I spent around Mosadi the more I started to questioned my ability to love.
“I see you like them feisty, Mr. Jordan.” Stoni’s soft voice broke me away from my thoughts. I slowly turned to face her. Stoni was gorgeous no lie. And her innocence was the cherry on top to a perfect sundae, but she didn’t do it for me. “Don’t speak on something you don’t know shit about.” I snapped. I didn’t know why, but anybody referring to Mosadi always brought out my dark side. I could see Stoni tense up and back off. For once in my life I actually felt bad.
She’s the one person I don’t want to fear me.
“Damn.” I mumbled to myself as I stepped closer to Stoni. “I apologize for my tone and for Mosadi.” I locked eyes with Stoni. Her skin glowed perfectly under the natural light peaking through the curtains. “That’s Mosadi’s?” Stoni’s eyes grew as she pointed to towards the door like Mosadi still stood amongst us. We all know that if Mosadi was in fact in this room, Stoni wouldn’t even have been able to finish that question. The thought of Mosadi taking life excites me more than when I actually did it myself. I was so distracted in the image of Mosadi draining someone of their last breath it hadn’t even registered that Stoni mentioned her name without me even telling her about Mosadi before this moment.
“Wait, who told you about, Mosadi?” I could feel my eyebrow raise as I watched her. Her lips were perfect as they rested in a straight line I knew the wheels in her head were turning, trying to formulate a lie. Stoni had known better than to lie to me. I knew she knew this by the way she’s shifted before she let a deep sigh. “I heard you talking about her. I could tell she meant something by your tone. You know what I’m in school for Michael, so you know I pay close attention and study people.” Stoni’s eyes rested on me the entire time she spoke. I couldn’t even get mad…she was telling the truth.
I nodded. “Yeah that’s her, but enough of that shit. I apologized, you excepting that shit or what?” I completely forgot I ain’t really have no clothes on and by now I could feel Stoni’s eyes burning a hole into me. I chuckled some. “Maybe you should put on some clothes.” Stoni quickly licked her lips before returning her eyes to my face. “That would be a good enough apology for me.” She continued on. I found excitement in fucking with a female’s mind. So you should know I wasn’t going to make this easy for Stoni.
I laughed lowly as I ran my hand down my face. “Nah. I think we cool. You know how to keep shit professional, right? So my appearance shouldn’t bother you.” I stepped towards Stoni more. I wasn’t going to invade her space. But you better know she was going to feel my energy. “Okay, Shadow.” Her eyes avoided mine. “I just came to discuss a few documents regarding your businesses.” This time she stepped towards me. Her body almost touched mine as she reached for her briefcase before heading towards my kitchen. I followed her. When it came to my business matters all games went out the window.
But sometimes I had play.
I watched Stoni spread the contents of her briefcase across the island top. “You’ve been missing out on a few important meetings, Michael.” I could feel her eyes on me as I stepped closer to the counter. My eyes gazing over each sheet of paper. “Things been kind of crazy.” I said in a nonchalant tone as I picked up a paper. My eyes landing on a proposal for a new business deal. “I understand that, but I need you…” Her voice trailed off as I kept my eyes on the piece of the paper in my hand. I felt her soft skin against my face, letting me know her hands had cupped my face. I brought my eyes to her as her touch became firm. “I need you to stay focused and remember why you’re in this game. You have a plan, don’t get off track.” Stoni spoke to me with so much care and concern…I didn’t know how to respond.
Her thumb was lightly brushing my lips as she continued to hold my face still in her hands. “Do you hear me?” Her voice rose an octave. I chuckled some and licked my lips, purposely making my tongue brush against her thumb. I felt her shiver a bit, causing a smirk to spread against my lips. “I hear you, Stoni.” I mumbled lowly, never breaking eyes contact with Stoni. “Shadow I’m serious! You can’t even let that crazy bitch Mosadi stand in your way. You got that?” Stoni stared at me the same way my father used to when he meant business. I nodded and grabbed Stoni by the waist. I pulled her close enough just to make our bodies touch a little. I rested my forehead against hers. “I hear you Stoni…” I let my voice trail off as my lips damn near touched hers. “But if you ever disrespect Mosadi again…I’ll kill you myself. I treat her like I treat my businesses, I don’t play.”   I backed away and flashed a devilish grin before disappearing.
I stepped into my office and flashbacks of Mosadi flooded my mind before Quentin interrupted them. “What the fuck is up with you, Shadow?” Quentin questioned me as if he was the boss. “Why the fuck does everybody keep asking me that?!” I barked loudly. “Don’t even answer that shit. Just know the next mothafucka to ask me that will sleep in Shadows.” I meant every word that came out of my mouth. Everybody and their fucking mama been questioning me about my actions lately
I would be lying if I didn’t say that I wasn’t off my square a bit. But it had nothing to do with Shadow…it was all Michael and his bullshit. So much shit from my personal life was coming to surface and that was one thing I never knew how to handle. Better yet I didn’t want to handle it.
“Say no more, Shadow.” Quentin took upon himself to sit down. I shook my head. This nigga was completely forgetting who the fuck head honcho was around these parts. “Next time wait until I ask you to sit.” I let the hatred drop from my words as I made my way towards my desk. I carefully sat Mosadi’s purse. For some add reason I had a feeling Mosadi didn’t give a fuck about her purse, that she was more worried about Stoni was.
I watched Quentin glance at Mosadi’s bag as I took a seat at my throne. “Why do you have Sadi’s things? You didn’t do anything to her, did you Shadow?!” I could sense the panic Quentin tried so desperately to mask. “Why the fuck are you questioning me? I don’t recall your name being on in ownership around this part?” I leaned forwards and glared at him. I felt like I was being taken for a joke and I never took lightly to than. Not even as a child. “Don’t ask me another fucking question regarding my actions, Quentin. Understood?” I locked eyes with Quentin. I meant business. It’s bad enough Que been acting weird lately,  is he’s questioning me. I was never a dummy.
“Understood Shadow.” I could sense the anger in his voice, but like everybody else Quentin knew better. “So, about this Banks’ dude?” Quentin was skeptical as always. He asked a lot of questions, but recently it’s been worse. I sighed some and relaxed in my seat. “He did a good job, but he’s not Johnny. The little nigga is quick and efficient. I just don’t know about his temper.” I told the truth. I had a bad temper, but Banks’ temper was the type to get messy and reactive off impulse. I reacted off impulse, but I was smart enough to know how to handle aftermath. I didn’t know if Banks was equipped with that trait
“From what I know, he’s pretty much like Mosadi. And we both know that can go or bad. You know right from wrong, Shadow. Trust your gut on this one.” I nodded in agreeable with Quentin’s statement. Banks’ movements told me that one day he would be just as great as Mosadi, but his temper was still a factor. Not to mention I could tell he had issues with authority. I would tolerate that shit from Mosadi, but Banks was different. I wouldn’t think twice about sending him to the shadows.
“I’ll figure shit out soon. It’s a must. I can’t have Johnny’s spot open for too long.” That nigga Johnny….I still can’t believe I had to end a nigga I consider family life. Quentin went to speak but as always Mosadi barged into my personal space. “WHERE THE FUCK IS MY SHIT?” She was still heated from earlier I could tell I laughed loudly.
“Sit the fuck down.” My voice was thick and strong I had enough of this bullshit.
Tumblr media
Mosadi.
“SIT THE FUCK DOWN!” I couldn’t help but give him the dirtiest look. I don’t know who the fuck he thought he was, but he wasn’t going to talk to me any kind of way. Before I could speak I heard a familiar voice.
“Sadi, calm down.” Turning my attention from shadow, my eyes meet Quentin. I haven’t talked to him in weeks and here he was in Shadow’s office trying to tell me what the fuck to do. All that did was make me even more angry at this whole situation in general. In my eyes Quentin was a bitch ass nigga. The fact that he was so mad at what happened between me and Shadow proved to me how much of a bitch he was and right now I didn’t want to be near him.
“Quentin get the fuck out.” I muttered while sizing him up. The look of shock spread across his face before he cleared his throat and straighten out his tie. I watched as his lips parted as he started to speak.
“Mosadi, I’m pretty sure this is Shadow’s office.” He said as a smirk spread across his lips. I couldn’t help but chuckle as I took a step towards him only for Shadow to wrap his arms around my waist, stopping me in my tracks.
“You heard what the fuck she said.” Glancing up, my eyes met Shadow’s as his face showed a hint of amusement. His eyes never went to Quentin as his threats continued. “Get the fuck out Quentin.” The power his voice held was enough to start a pool of wetness in my panties. Licking over my lips, my eyes went to Quentin watching as he shook his head at the sight of us. He gathered his documents and nodded at Shadow before making his way out of the room. Once the door closed behind him, I quickly pushed Shadow from me.
“Get the fuck off me nigga, give me my shit.” I didn’t come here to be all up on him, I wanted what belonged to me so that I could keep it pushing. The image of that bitch still burned in my mind and I wanted nothing but to fuck her up and this nigga.
“You’re crazy.” He said simply before sitting at his desk. His face wore a small smirk as he reach on his desk and grabbed my bag. “You need to chill the fuck out, don’t you get tired of having an attitude all the time?” I could sense the humor in his voice as he spoke.
“Can you just give me my shit, so I can go?” I tried my best to keep my voice even but this nigga was making it hard. He now had a smile spread against his face as he went through my bag, pulling out my gun. I watched as he admired it, his feet kicked up on the desk.
“Come here.” He muttered while glancing in my direction. I stood in place not wanting to say shit to this nigga. “Come here, Mo’” his voice game out a little more softer and I soon found myself standing in front of him. His big hands rest on my hips before pulling me down to him so that I was straddling his lap. “I must say, you got good taste in weapons.” He said with a chuckle, sitting the gun back on his desk. I let myself relax a little as his hand rested on my bare thigh. “And in clothes also..” He muttered. I knew the black Chanel mini dress complimented my body well as it showed ever curve I owned. I could feel his eyes sizing me up as his hand inched to my inner thigh. My breathing got a little unsteady as I allowed his finger tips to gently stroke my skin. His touch alone was making me melt and soon the image of his bitch popped into my head quickly making me push his hands off me.
“Don’t fucking touch me.” I spat while rolling my eyes, trying to reach for my gun. His hands were quick as he tossed it on a nearby couch. I felt his arms wrap around my waist pulling me closer to him, my chest touching his as I sat completely on his dick. Our face was inches apart as he spoke.
“Chill the fuck out.” My eye stayed on his lips watching his tongue gazed across them causing my lower body to weaken. But I couldn’t let him get to me, if he thought he was going to play me for that little Ms. Innocent hoe, he had another thing coming.
“Why don’t you leave me alone and go call your bitch. You know, the scary hoe from yesterday.” Shadow chuckled and shook his head, his smile never leaving his lips.
“She works for me, Mosadi.”
“Oh, so you fucking your workers?”
“Not yet.” He said cockily as a smirk appeared against his lips. His hands made their way back to my thigh as I glared at him. He was pissing me off. “I never fucked her.” He said, keeping his eyes on mine. I knew he was telling the truth but I also knew he felt some type of way about her. “I like her tho, You can’t tell me that bitch ain’t fine.” A chuckle left his lips, but my face stared solid.
“I’ll kill her.” I said while keeping my eyes on his. I was dead serious. I could feel the jealously creeping up through me and I swear I wanted nothing but to fuck up her pretty little face. “I will kill her Shadow.” I spat. It didn’t faze him, his hands crept up my thigh and to my waist as I leaned down and pressed my lips softly against his. I knew there was no point in hiding anything now, I knew how I felt about the annoying ass nigga. Nothing has felt this good in a long time. Something about him calmed me yet gave me this fire I couldn’t control. I could feel myself melting away as his lips sucks softly against mine, His strong hands gripping my ass, as I let a soft moan slip from my mouth, pulling away.
“I ain’t feeling no bitch but you.” He said before pulling my lips back down to his.

Chapter Nineteen.
Tumblr media
Shadow
The more Dough sat across from me with this dumb look on his face, the angrier I became. I didn’t like to be lied to. Dough should’ve known this by now. It didn’t matter who you were, how long I’ve known you or any other bullshit, you didn’t fucking lie to me. And at this moment, Dough was lying to me. I didn’t need him to say it, I could tell by the way he carried himself.
“I didn’t see any harm in letting her shower in here, Shadow. She did do a job for you.” Dough was quick and sarcastic with his words as he laughed a bit. However what seemed to humor Dough at this moment, didn’t humor me at all. “I DON’T GIVE A FUCK IF THAT BITCH DID A MILLION JOBS FOR ME, YOU DON’T FUCKING LET PEOPLE IN MY PERSONAL SPACE WITHOUT MY FUCKING PERMISSION.” I slammed my hands down against my desk as I shot Dough a death glare. I had to admit, some of my anger came from not actually being able to witness Mosadi’s escapade in person.
Dough quickly nodded and mumbled, “No problem, Shadow. It won’t happen again…you have my word.” He kept his eyes on me I shook my head. I glanced at the face of my watch and without saying a word I stood to my feet and slid my arms into my suit jacket. I kept my silence as I gathered the things that I needed for today’s events. “You can stay here today.” I spoke as I glanced at Dough. He still wore a scared expression on his face. “Why?” He challenged my statement causing me to laugh lowly. “I don’t need your services.” I cut my eyes at Dough before I left him in silence.
I don’t know what the fuck has been up, but Dough ain’t been the Dough I knew from them grade school days. The nigga been off, real off. And I wasn’t feeling that shit one bit, but you can bet I was going to get to the bottom of that bullshit. I was starting to feel like the mothafuckas closest to me were becoming the people I could trust the least.
I made my way through the streets of my city by myself. I had decided that today I would put this Banks nigga to the test. I had a different test for him than I had ever given anyone else. Something about that little nigga told me he could probably do more than the average to take a nigga’s life away. But yet I still had my doubts about him. His young ass face was one factor that kept repeating in my head. Nobody would forget a face like his. That why I had that specific test in mind. I know he won’t be Johnny fast, no one would be, but I need to see what this Banks mothafucka could do.
Within the next forty-five minutes, I had Mosadi, Banks and the guest of honor waiting inside one of the many abandoned houses that Chicago had to offer. I couldn’t help but keep my eyes glued to Mosadi as she spoke lowly to Banks. I slowly licked over lips as the images of her with her fingers buried deep inside of her started to flood my mind. Mosadi was that one bitch that actually had me wondering what her moans sounded like…what she felt like at that. And now I was even more confident in the fact that she was wondering those same fucking things about me.
“What the fuck are you looking at?” Mosadi snapped in her normal tone. I couldn’t help but laugh. I guess I wasn’t the only one putting on act. I stepped forward, moving closer to her and Banks. “I’m still trying to figure that shit out. Your body tells me I’m looking at a woman, but that attitude…” I trailed off, letting Mosadi size me up as she dropped her hands to her hips. “What the fuck do you have to say about my attitude now nigga?” I watched as her eyes traveled somewhere and quickly snapped back to my face. I licked over my lips and chuckled some. “Your attitude is all man.” I stated as I looked her dead in the eye.
I watched as Mosadi tensed up. I chuckled a bit but that didn’t stop me from noticing Banks out of the corner of my eye. I could see him reach for his waist, presumably to retrieve his gun. I turned my head in his direction. “Your OG would be paying for your funeral before you could even get the safety off, young bull.” I looked Banks dead in the eyes as I spoke. He had to have heart if he was willing to try and take my life. “Banks, don’t.” Mosadi directed towards him but she kept her eyes on me. “What the fuck are we here for, Shadow?” Mosadi continued on. I slowly brought my eyes back to her.
“To see if he can pass.” I smirked as I moved towards the heavyset Arabian. His time was up and I was giving Banks the opportunity to be the one to handle it.
“I’m giving you sixty seconds to end his life.” Banks chuckled at my statement. Not a damn thing was funny and my patience was running low. Instead of one dead body being left inside this shithole, it might just be two. “That ain’t shit. I can end his life in ten seconds.” He boosted as he finally withdrew his gun. “You’ve mistaken me, Banks.” Now I chuckled as I glared at the young boy. “You have sixty seconds to end his life using no gun and no knife. Utilize your surroundings. You never know when it’s time to send niggas to the shadows with no form of the typical weapon.”
This time Banks didn’t laugh. Instead he glanced toward Mosadi. I could see the amusement hidden behind her eyes. She was addicted to killing and watching people be killed. She didn’t have to tell me that, I just know. I know because that look in her eyes is the same one behind mine.
“Can you handle that?” Banks nodded in response to my question. “Good.” I stepped away from Sam and Mosadi made her way to the side of me. I could feel the heat radiating off her body as she stood close enough for my body to touch hers if I even moved the slightest. I looked at my watch, waiting for a fresh minute to began. As soon as the second hand slid across the twelve I gave Banks a nod. My eyes going back and forth from him to my watch. I anticipated his every move as he glanced around the junky home. I couldn’t tell if he was nervous or focused. However, I can say this when Banks’ intent was to kill, his face was no longer readable. That was indeed a great asset to have.
I watched as he quickly reached for a wooden board, breaking so the end became jagged. I glanced at my watch yet again. Banks had a little under thirty seconds to prove himself. The moment my eyes left my watch and returned to Banks, he was driving the broken end of the wood deep into Sam’s chest until it began to show through his back. I smirked as I watched the blood began to seep from Sam’s body as his life left his body. I took one last look at my watch. Banks still had a mere fifteen seconds to spare. “Good enough for you?” Mosadi finally spoke after awhile. I turned and glanced at her.
“There’s still a few things to work on, but good job Banks.” I turned my focus back to Banks. “I’ll sit down with you and discuss a few things later this week.” I nodded in Banks direction. “But for now…” I paused as I snapped my fingers. Two clean up men appeared from the dark shadows of the house. “You’ll help them clean up this mess.” I kept my eyes on Banks. I could tell he didn’t like my commands, but he wanted the job. “Okay, Shadow.” Banks finally responded. I didn’t say a word, I just made my way towards the door leaving him and Mosadi to talk.
“Michael?” I heard a familiar voice call from behind me as I made my way to my vehicle. I didn’t know whether to keep walking or turn around and acknowledge her. I went against my better judgment and turned to face her. “What?” My tone was icy as I eyed her. Her appearance the same as it had been for years. Her hair was matted down and she smelled like she hasn’t showered since the last time I paid for her a room to stay in. “How are you?” Her yellow eyes peered into me. I wanted so desperately to kill this bitch. But yet I wanted to make sure she was okay. “Don’t worry about how the fuck I’m doing.” Even I could hear the hate I had for in my voice. That was the one thing that probably bothered me the most in life.
“You don’t have to be so cold, baby.” The voice that I once always wanted to hear but now couldn’t fucking stand, crawled from her dry wind pipes. “I just wanna know how you’re doing, Michael.” This time her voice was shaky and I could feel the dry skin of her fingers against my face. In this moment I had wished I could step outside of my body just to see the expression on my face. I knew it read nothing but pure hatred and disgust. The two things I felt most for this sorry excuse of a woman. “DON’T FUCKING TOUCH ME BITCH!” I could feel the ground shake from the loudness of my voice as I smacked her scaly fingers from my face. “I will fucking kill you if you ever touch me again, Joi.” I couldn’t help my anger as I soon found my hands clutching her skin, threatening to harm her in ways she couldn’t imagine.
Even as she stared at me with tears in her yellow eyes, I still had no sympathy for her. It wasn’t until I seen the anger in Mosadi’s eyes from behind Joi, that I knew it was best for me to let this bitch go. “Shadow, you need me to handle this bitch?” Mosadi eyed her. That killer instinct evident in Mosadi’s gazes. I dropped my hands from her and glanced at Mosadi. “Nah, she good.” I turned back to Joi. “You got ten seconds to get the fuck away from me, before I take you out of your misery..” I didn’t hesitate to let hate drip from my words. She didn’t argue or even speak, she just shook her head and walked away. I kept my eyes on her, finding it hard not to watch her. On everything, I hated this bitch, but I still wondered where she was going.
“What the fuck was that about?” Mosadi’s voice brought my eyes away from watching Joi disappear. “Nothing.” I mumbled and started towards the car. “Fuck that bullshit nigga! Since I met you I never seen you look at somebody the way you looked at that junkie. Fuck is up with that shit?” I stopped in my spot and looked over my shoulder at Mosadi. I don’t why this bitch was so concerned with my business. I won’t lie, I wanted to know what look she was speaking of, but a part of me already knew what look she meant. “Mind your fucking business, Mosadi.” I spat. “Okay. Fuck you too then nigga, stay mad. But I know something got you right now. You was about to drop a junkie bitch in daylight. And you Shadow don’t just kill anybody in daylight for just any reason.” I stared at Mosadi in amazement as she read me a bit too well.
I sighed. “Look, I won’t talk about that shit. But I can admit I’m mad as fuck and I need to go do something about it. I could do something stupid or I could…” I trailed off, carefully choosing my next few words so I won’t offend Mosadi. “Or I could take you somewhere and you could help me fix that.” I watched her face. For a moment I seen her face soften. She must’ve noticed too because she looked away. “Take me where, Shadow?” Mosadi slowly looked up at me. “My sanctuary.” I spoke calmly as Mosadi continued to look at me. This time I felt like she was trying to read me, that or she wasn’t sure I was serious. I stepped closer to Mosadi and took her hand in mind. For a moment I almost let go. Not because I didn’t wanna hold her, but because of the feeling that ran through me when her skin touched mine.
“You wanna help me fix this shit or you want me to drop a junkie bitch in daylight?” I eyed her as she kept her hand in mine. Mosadi smiled a bit before she dropped it. “Sure nigga, whatever.” She mumbled, but never let go of my hand.

Mosadi
The ride was silent, not the weird kind of silence, but the comfortable one. No matter how hard I tried to keep my eyes off of him I couldn’t. We sat inches apart and it allowed me to study his face. I could tell he was still feeling some type of way about seeing that junkie. Memories of her face flashed in my mind, even though she was a junkie you could still see how beautiful she was. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why was Shadow so bothered by her. I’ve never seen that emotion across his face, the anger, the hint of sadness. All it did was intrigue me and made me want to end her life all together. For some odd reason I was feeling some type of way about him, nothing major but sometimes it was hard to get the image of him out of my head.
“Can I have my face back?” Shadow’s chuckles filled the air as he spoke. Turning my head I almost allowed myself to blush at the words he spoke.  I didn’t know I was staring at him until his eyes was staring back at mine. Licking over my lips, I let my eyes wonder out the window. The car fell back silent as the car slowly came to a stop. “We’re here.” He muttered before opening the car door and getting out. Doing the same, my eyes came in contact with his “sanctuary”. It wasn’t as flashy as I would’ve thought it to be for someone like Shadow. But it was beautiful nevertheless. I felt a slight shock run through my body as his hand gripped mine.
“Come on..” His voice was firm but had an unusual softness to it. Nodding my head, I let him lead me up the driveway and to the front door. I watched him closely as he took the keys from his pocket and placed the correct one in the keyhole unlocking the door and pulling me in. Instantly it was like I was suffocated in him as his house reeked in his scent. My eyes roamed and it was exactly like I imagined. It had a warm feel to it. I watched as he sat his suit jacket on the edge of his all black leather couch and motioned for me to sit. It took me a minute to obey because I was in complete awe at the sight.
“So you want something to drink?” I heard him ask. Nodding my head I slipped my jacket from my shoulders and placed it next to his as he slipped out of the room. Naturally I took it upon myself to study my surroundings. He didn’t have many pictures hanging around but he did have one. It was a picture of a little baby and a man. He was gorgeous as he wore a big smile across his face while holding on closely to the baby in his hands. Before I could reach out for the picture and get a closer look Shadow’s voice filled my ears.
“Don’t.” His voice was firm as he spoke. I could feel his chest pressed up against my back as he grabbed the picture turning it down. “That ain’t important right now.”
“Was that your father?” My voice came out almost as a whisper as the words slipped from my lips. Turning around I was a face to face with Shadow as his eyes stared down into mine. It was silent for a minute before he let a slight chuckle leave his lips. His hand softly caressed my cheek, his thumb gently running across my bottom lip. His touch alone sent an unusual sensation through my body. I couldn’t take my eyes off him. I watched as he leaned down so that his lips were inches from mine. At this point I was immobile. My eyes never left his as he inched a little closer.
“You know..” He started. “You’re not too bad when you’re not talking.” I watched as a smirk spread across his face causing me to playfully push him away. Him going into a fit of laughter.
“You’re not funny at all.” My voice gave off slight attitude only for him to continue laughing. No lie, it was pissing me off and I was seconds away from walking out but the feeling of his hands against my waist slightly soothed me. “What are you doing?” I asked as he came closer to me, pulling my body to his. The feeling this was giving me was so foreign as I almost allowed myself to pull away.
“Don’t worry about all that.” After that it seemed as if everything else was a blur as his lips pressed against mine.
***
The sounds of my phone ringing woke me from my slumber. Wiping my eyes it took me a minute to realize where I was. The black silk sheets draped against my body as I stood and looked for my clothes.
“Fuck.” I muttered as I looked back over at the bed to see a sleeping Shadow, laid out on the bed. Taking a second, I let myself admire him in his most innocent state. He looked so at peace as his chest slowly heaved up and down. Last night was something I never thought me and him would’ve shared. It was something that I didn’t think me or him were capable of. The more I thought about it the more I wanted to get back in bed and crawl up next to him, but my pride wouldn’t allow that. I just wanted to get home and put last night events and Shadow behind me.
I rushed to put on my clothes before grabbing my phone.
“Where you going?” His voice was deep and firm as he sat up in the bed rubbing his eyes. I let my eyes wonder over him, studying his demeanor. For this slight second his guard was down. He reached up and rubbed his eyes before glancing over at the clock on the nightstand. “It’s 6am, Mosadi.”
I watched more as he stretched, causing the covers to fall just below his waist, showing off his sculptured abs. I wanted so badly to touch them but I knew I couldn’t. I didn’t like the feeling he was giving me at this moment and I knew that the more I stayed in this room the more I wanted to be on him.
“I have shit to do, Shadow.” I muttered while looking for my purse. I couldn’t remember where the fuck I placed it and it was making me irritated as fuck tight now. Not because I was dying to get out of here but because my strap was there and all these emotions he was causing, was making me want to shoot him in the face. “Where the fuck is my bag?!” I spat. I was looking all over his room and still couldn’t find it. I could hear Shadow’s chuckles fill the air as the bed started to shift a little, letting me know he was getting up. I refused to look at him because I didn’t know what I would do.
“Chill out. Housekeeping put it up in a safe place for you.” His voice came out soft as I now could feel his body against mine. His large hand fell against my waist and pulled me into his chest as I instantly relaxed at his touch. The effect he had on my body and my mind scared me to death but I couldn’t help but to lay my head against his chest as we stood by the window enjoying the view. “You don’t have to go.” He said softly while trailing his lips gently against my ear. Letting out a soft breath, I allowed myself to get mixed up in his embrace. Turning to face him, I wrapped my arms around his neck, studying his face. Shadow might have the city scared but at this moment, right now I could see the real him. His brown eyes stared down at mine as we just took in eachother. No words needed to be exchanged because we knew what we wanted. With my free hand, I slowly caressed the side of his face, bringing it down closer to mine. Just as his soft lips were about to engulf mine, a knock was at the door causing us both to instantly catch a attitude. Rolling my eyes, I pulled away and watched as he went to see who was interrupting our moment. I knew that whoever was behind that door was about to get an ass whooping and I couldn’t wait to watch. I laid down against Shadow’s silk sheets just waiting to hear the authority and control in his voice only to be let down. Instead there was a soft feminine voice echoing throughout the room.
“Im sorry Shadow, is this a bad time?” She said. Getting up, I walked over to him just as he was about to speak.
“No –“
“Yes, it’s a bad time. Who the fuck are you?” I spat as I sized her up. She was beautiful. It was something about her that I couldn’t put my finger on, but by the way Shadow wasn’t at least attempting to rip her head off, I could tell he could sense it too and that alone was enough to make this bitch my next target.
“Mosadi, don’t.” He spat and we were back to square one. I couldn’t help but to scoff at his bitch ass. For one why was this bitch in his home? I for one knew he only let a select few in here and for this bitch to be here, knocking on his door, talking to him made me heated as fuck.
“Shut the fuck up, Shadow. Finish entertaining this bitch.” I couldn’t hide the anger in my voice as I pushed passed them both, making sure to give the little bitch an extra push as I walked passed her. “GIVE ME MY FUCKING PURSE SHADOW! WHERE THE FUCK HOUSEKEEPING?!” I was storming around his house like a mad woman trying to find my purse and he was right behind me calling me every name in the book.
“Why the fuck you showing your ass huh?! Get the fuck back upstairs!” I couldn’t help but laugh at his attempts to get me in check. He had me so fucked up if he thought I was going to go back up those stairs to his room. That wasn’t happening unless I was going to scar up that bitch’s pretty little face. I don’t know what made me angrier though, Shadow yelling at me like I’m some kid or the fact that the bitch was still upstairs.
“You got company, tend to that bitch. Have my bag in your office tomorrow.” I spat with a slight mug before walking towards his door. He was right on my heels and I was pretty sure he was going to snatch me up by then but he didn’t and I was relieved.
“I can’t fucking stand yo’ ass.” He said. I could tell by his tone he was restraining himself from being the beast himself.
“Likewise.” I muttered before walking out of his house, making sure to give his door a good slam.

I'm mad man I'm mad as hell like they been through so much bs why you couldn't let them end up together why he couldn't get married to crys naw man I'm upset for real lol that hurt my heart how you going to kill of my goon like that 😢😢 anyways I enjoy this fanfic but one more question I was reading heartbreak on wattpad but it doesn't have all the chapters
LMAO! I’m so sorry I made a thug cry. But since I started DGN that was the original ending. Crys was suppose to be the one that kept him going even through death. Her purpose was to get him out of the game and make him a better person. She was the one to change his whole perspective and once she did that, she had to go. Of course it was hard to write that part because i love crys but it had to be done. LOL! Right now I’m trying to balance my personal, school, and work life before i write you guys a more.. happier ending and upload the rest of the heartbreak chapters. Lol.

Chapter Eighteen.
Tumblr media
Mosadi
I watched his figure on the screen as he left the building. He’s been going to this same place since I’ve been watching him. His long dreads were in a ponytail as he carried a black duffle bag over his shoulder.
“When are you going to make your move?” Dolce as me as he too looked at Nooch. I never took my eyes off the screen as I spoke to her. A simple “Soon” was enough to get her off my case. To tell the truth, I was intrigued by him. He knew I was watching him, so why would he continue his same daily routine pick up. I would think he would change it up to throw me off, but I was wrong. I didn’t know what to expect from this man, but I did know that I was going to find out as much as I could about him. I had this feeling in my gut that he wasn’t the person he appeared to be.
The sound of my phone ringing snapped my eyes away from the screen. It was Banks calling and I knew that he was eager to know what Shadow’s decision was. I was almost positive that Shadow would put Banks on the team, but a part of me knew he might be difficult about the whole situation.
“Sadi, what the lick read?” Banks said as soon as I answered the phone causing a small chuckle to leave my lips. “You heard from Shadow?” I could sense the urgency in his voice. Banks been wanting to be in the business for so long and I could tell now that he wanted nothing more than to get Shadow’s blessing to be on the team.
“I haven’t talked to him yet, but it’s almost time for a new assignment so I’m sure I’ll be seeing him soon.” I said truthfully. Asking about Banks was going to be the first thing I do when I step foot in Shadow’s office, I knew that there was no doubt that he’ll put Banks on.  I listened to Banks continue to talk as my eyes went back to Nooch on the screen. Every day it was the same thing. He talked to no new people, he showed no surprised acts. It was like everything was scripted for this nigga. I was learning nothing new from him.
“Hey, Banks?” I said suddenly, cutting off his uninteresting story he was telling. “I got a question for you.”
“What’s up?” I barley discussed anything personal I was working on, but Banks seem like the perfect person to ask. “Have you ever heard of someone named Nooch?” Banks knew everyone in Chicago, you would never be able to guess which side he rested his head because he seemed to be everywhere. A loud chuckle left his lips. “That nigga use to be over in L-Town. Ran into him a couple of times, almost had to take his chain cause that nigga tried to treat me like a lil nigga.” A puzzled look appeared across my face as Banks spoke. You would think Nooch had clout since he’s the one with the empire.
“What you mean? I thought Nooch had respect.” I asked only to hear Banks laughter yet again.
“Mo, you serious right now?” His laughter got louder, this nigga couldn’t even contain himself. “Nooch aint no big homie, his ass a wannabe. I heard he’s been hanging around with some big dog that’s been teaching him a few things. Before he got down with whoever he was down with, he was the same scary ass lil pack worker off Austin. He got a lil’ clout and started feeling himself, had to put him back in his place.” I listen carefully as Banks spoke. I was finally learning something new about this nigga, only to find out Nooch ain’t who I thought he was. I wasn’t dealing with no boss, I was dealing with errand boy.
“Why you’re so concerned with Nooch?” I heard Banks ask.
“Cause, I believe he’s the one that killed my mother.” My voice was tight. I was angry at the information I was receiving but at the same time, I wanted to know who was molding Nooch into the person he is. I knew that a little pack worker wasn’t going to be able to conduct business on behalf of their boss. A little pack worker wasn’t going to be the one handling the money and picking up shipment either. The Nooch Banks was speaking of, wasn’t the one I was seeing.
“Nah, Nooch might be feeling himself right now but I doubt he’s able to kill someone.” I didn’t want to hear that. You never know what anyone is capable of when money is put in front of them. Plus niggas these days was always trigger happy.
“Why are you so sure that he’s not capable of this?” I asked Banks as I looked over at Dolce. Nooch was still visible on the small screen in front of her. “He has his own reign, I’m sure that he had to get the respect he have from at least catching one body.” Banks laughter filled my ears, causing me to get a little irritated. I felt as if he was laughing at me.
“Sadi, that shit aint true. Nooch working for some big time nigga, like seriously they say this nigga might be some competition for Shadow.” Banks explained. This was something new that I was hearing. Here I am thinking that the business Nooch was running was his, when it turned out that he wasn’t in charge at all. “The nigga Nooch rolling with is ruthless and it’s only a matter of time before he comes at Shadow’s head.”
I let his words sink in. Shadow had plenty of enemies but something about the situation was telling me that a warning should be issued. Soon thoughts of Shadow filled my head, oddly I was becoming more fond of him. Thoughts of him always found their way into my mind, I didn’t know why and I didn’t know if I liked it or not, but sometimes I found the urge to see him. Sometimes I looked forward to our meetings a little too much. I didn’t know what I was feeling towards him but I knew that at the moment, whatever it was, I’ll pass on it.
“When I meet up with Shadow, I’m gonna see what he says about you getting a job.” I said before hanging up the phone. For some odd reason I had a feeling that this whole thing with Nooch was deeper than what I thought. I wasn’t the one to play games, but I was going to start. Suddenly the game wasn’t between me and Nooch, but me and the nigga that got the streets talking because I know that when I kill Nooch, it’ll start a war.
Tumblr media
Shadow
I leaned back into my chair as I rubbed my index fingers deeply against my temples. My eyes scanned back and forth over the multiple pictures scattered across my desk. I was trying to examine every inch of this Banks nigga’s work. I didn’t fuck with new people and I didn’t want to change that. Mosadi might have trained him, but that didn’t necessarily mean he was as good as her. But for some reason, I had the hunch to give it a try. I knew it would be impossible finding another Johnny. Nobody was like Johnny. I knew his speed and quietness would never be duplicated.
Damn why did Johnny have to fall victim to that pretty white bitch…
I brought my eyes back to the pictures. No lie, this Banks nigga was clean and precise. But I knew he was hot headed, that was never a good thing. Especially not when you’re a young nigga trying to play with a game ran by grown men.
A couple of knocks on my office door tore me away from studying the pictures atop of my desk. I barely got to give Quentin permission to come inside before he was inviting himself in. “What the fuck did I tell you?” I spat as I looked at him coldly. I didn’t like to be interrupted. Not by Quentin, not by anyone. “Relax Shadow, it’s business.” Quentin smirked as he took a seat. I watched his eyes go to the pictures.
“What’s this shit?” Quentin asked me as he picked up a picture. “The work of some nigga Mosadi brought to me.” I shrugged as I thought to myself about letting this Banks nigga do a trial run. Quentin nodded slowly as he sat the picture down. “What’s this business you speak of Quentin?” I sat up and gathered the pictures on my desk into one pile. “The Hatians want to speak to you about a new pipeline.” Quentin smiled as he looked at me. “But they can’t quite get to Chicago. Some bullshit about passports and whatnot.” He rambled on a few moments longer.
I chuckled as I looked at Que. “I’m not traveling to Haiti.” I spoke sternly. I didn’t want to travel. Especially not to see these Hatians niggas. They wanted me to do them a favor. Why should I come to them? “Shadow this is business–” More knocks on my door cut Quentin’s words short. I sighed a bit and leaned back in my chair. “Come in.” I watched as Dough walked in with a stack of DVD’s in hand. “Shadow I don’t mean to interrupt.” Dough looked at Quentin before looking back at me. “The man from the security place dropped these off for you. He said he couldn’t email them because that’s not a good idea, it could lead to some type of security breach or some shit. Nigga was weird if you ask me.” Dough laughed at his words.
“Security place?” Quentin sat up and took the DVD’s from Dough.
“I had some cameras setup in my office a while back. I was having this feeling shit wasn’t right. You know I tried to keep cameras out of here, but some times rules must be broken.” I sat up and reached on to my desk and poured me a class of Remy Martin 1738. “Gimme those.” I guested toward the videos. Quentin was hesitant at first, as if he didn’t want me to see exactly what them videos held. When Que acted that way it always caused me to side eye him. I never wanted to question his loyalty, but at times he gave me slight reasons to.
“I’m sure you’re just overreacting, Shadow.” Quentin spoke as I popped the first disc into my laptop. “Niggas know better than to do any type of fuck shit in your office, Shadow.” Quentin continued to ramble on as Dough dismissed himself from my office and I kept my eyes on the screen of MacBook. “If you say so, Quentin.” I stated nonchalantly as my eyes remained on the screen.
For the next 5 minutes or so I fast forwarded through hours of footage that showed absolutely nothing at all. There wasn’t a soul or even a shadow visible on MacBook’s screen. That was until Dough appeared. I watched as he laid out clothes and things for a shower. “The fuck?” I mumbled to myself. Quentin must’ve took notice to my confusion as he got up and came around to the side of the desk I sat on. I could feel him towering over me as Mosadi appeared on the screen. “You know what’s to this?” I turned and looked up at Quentin as I motioned toward the laptop’s screen.
Quentin shook his head ‘no’ as he too continued to watch Mosadi. I found myself licking over my lips as I watched her fingertips graze my desk. Something told me when it came to being sexual, Mosadi had a light touch. But then again, nothing was ever what it seemed.
A few short moments later Mosadi disappeared. I didn’t see anything on my screen but an empty office for the next ten minutes, before I decided to fast forward. My finger quickly hit play as Mosadi reappeared. “Turn this off, Shadow.” Quentin was breathing down my neck as he talked. “Nah, I can’t do that. Her ass is in my office and I’m not here. If that’s not disrespectful as fuck…” I trailed off I shook my head and returned my attention to the screen. Mosadi has nothing on but her undergarments. I could feel my eyebrow raise a bit as she sat in my chair.
I had a different feeling as I watched her. I knew that maybe I should turn it off but I couldn’t. I wanted to see what was next. There was no need to lie.
The longer I watched, the more attracted to Mosadi that I became. I watched as her fingers invaded her own personal spot. I could tell by the way her eyes closed and her lips parted, that she was moaning. I wanted to know what brought her to this in my office, in my chair. I continued to watch her, completely forgetting Quentin was standing over me until he cleared his throat. “Turn it off, Shadow.” I could sense an attitude in his tone. This envy shit was getting heavy.
I turned and looked at Quentin, my eyebrow rose at his sudden attitude and anger. “Since when do I take orders from you?” I laughed bitterly as I waited for him to answer. He didn’t respond. Quentin knew better. I might’ve been slacking on my stern ways lately, but that shit was over with. Quentin was going to be reminded that he was just a worker of mine and I was his boss, the hand that kept him fed. He quickly nodded and backed away a bit.
“I just don’t think this was meant for us to see, Shadow. That’s all.” Anger was still evident in his tone. Maybe Quentin had a thing for Mosadi. I chuckled a little and looked away from him. My eyes going back to the screen just in time to watch Mosadi’s lips form the word “Shadow.”

Dope Game Nigga: Epilogue
Tumblr media
Chris.
2 Years Later.
Licking over my lips, my nervousness was just now starting to set in. I couldn’t believe this day was finally here, shit I can’t believe that I’m actually going through with this. A small smile played against my lips as I looked out at my view from my hotel villa. I’ve came a long way from the nigga I use to be. That cold hearted, hotheaded boy was gone and replaced by a man. I’ve come to terms with a lot of things in my life and changed myself for the betterment of my kids. Kristen and Amir was almost three and I swear you would think they were older. The way they interact and show so much love still amazes me. A lot has happened in the past couple of years, but Maria will always be on my mind. She was the mother of my child the fact that she died because of the shit I was doing, always fucked with me. But don’t think she didn’t get justice. I could still remember the day me and Ty caught that nigga Darnell slipping.
“That’s him right there, B.” Ty mumbled while grabbing his gun from his waist. We’ve been outside this club for a minute before this nigga decided to make his way out. I remember Maria telling me he go by the name “Steezy” and that he was sent here from Florida to get to me. In my opinion he’s taking too long. I knew I couldn’t be touched and I knew I wasn’t going to die at the hands of a lame ass fuck boy that can barely clean up his mess. I’ve been following him for a minute and the way he handles his business is messy. The fact that he didn’t even know he was being followed for a couple weeks now is also show how much of a rookie he was in the game. Shaking my head some, I looked down at the corner at the all black van. My boys were waiting to grab this nigga and the fact that he was pissy drunk right now made everything easier.  My fingers was itching to get to him. I watched closely as he stopped in his tracks to light a cigarette before one of my boys snuck up behind him, gagging him while pulling him into the van. A small smirk played against my lips as I put the car into drive and sped off following the van.
“We bout to get his ass.” Ty mumbled while letting out a laugh. I couldn’t help but smirk as I thought about the many different way I was about to kill this nigga. I knew I wouldn’t be able to get a good night’s sleep until I make this nigga suffer in the name of Maria. I kept my eyes on the van as it pulled up to the warehouse. This was is. This was the night that every nigga in Florida was going to know my name, this was the night that every nigga on this earth was going to know that Breezy was back with a vengeance and any nigga to fuck with my family was going to get fucked up.
Getting out the car, I grabbed my gun when I saw my men taking him inside. I looked at Tyga and muttered “It’s showtime.” Causing a smile to form on his lips. I could feel my adrenaline rushing as we entered the warehouse. Steezy yells filled the air, along with his grunts. I couldn’t help but chuckle when he came into view. Shad fist connected with his face, causing blood to sew from his mouth. Laughing, I made my presence known. I commanded everyone’s attention and I swear I saw fear in Steezy’s eyes. Walking closer to him, I grabbed a nearby chair and sat across from him. Resting my gun on my lap, I looked him over. Shad gave him a good beating on the few minutes they had alone. But that was nothing compared to what I was about to do to this nigga.
“Steezy, right?” I asked. He didn’t say anything but mug me as he tried his best to get untied. “That shit won’t work. Chill, I got a couple questions to ask you.” His mug stayed on his face as he gave up trying and looked me right in the eyes. Although he tried to show that he was unbothered, I could still see the trace of fear in them.
“I’m not going to talk to you. You’re a fucking opp.” He spat. I let a small chuckle leave my lips before taking my gun and shooting him in the thigh. His yells filled the air as my men laughed. “FUCK!” he yell while looking down at his thigh in horror.
“Now, I told you to chill. Next time you say some shit I don’t like, this next bullet going in your dick bitch.” My voice was firm as he tried his best to contain himself. Bitch ass motherfucka. “Who’s this nigga you working for?”
I watched as his breathing got heavy as he contemplated if he wanted to answer. I list my gun up aiming at him, causing him to speak.
“His.. His name is Deetch.” He started before trying to catch his breath. “I been working for him since I was a shorty. He sent me here to take you and anybody associated with you out.” I kept my eyes on him as he continued to talk. “He wanted revenge because you killed Cole; his best friend.” When he was done he looked at me with pleading eyes. I was quiet for a minute letting everything he say sink in.
“Where he at now?” My voice came out raspy as I spoke. I was over this shit at this point and this Deetch nigga was about to get fucked up.  “He’s on his way here. He say I’ve been taking too long and he’s going to be here to assist me in taking you out.” He said.
Laughing loudly, I looked around at my men as they joined me. This nigga really thought he was going to be able to take me down? He really thought he was going to be able to kill another one of my loved ones? These lame as nigga had me fucked up! My laughter died down as I looked at Tyga.
“Ty tell this nigga the number one rule when you’re working with me.” Tyga looked at me with a smirk before looking at Steezy. “The number one rule is no matter what, no matter who has you, no matter what situation, you don’t snitch.” Nodding my head at him I looked back at Steezy.
“Your boss must got a different set if it only took me shooting you in the leg to snitch. That’s some pussy ass shit.” I spat with disgust. “Here I am thinking it might be a challenge getting information out of you, but you proved me wrong. You a straight bitch, bruh.” I laughed some and shook my head. “I don’t got no respect for bitch niggas like you.”
Steezy didn’t say anything, he just sat there looking at me. The sight of his scary ass was starting to iss me off some more. Reaching in my pocket, I pulled out my phone. Going through my pictures, I settled on a picture of Maria and Kristen.
“You remember Maria?” I asked him while looking at Steezy. His face told it all. He tried to divert his eyes elsewhere but my voice caused him to look back in my direction. “Bitch, looking at me when I’m talking to you.” I could see the fear in his eyes as his bitch ass obeyed. “That was my fucking baby mama. You killed my daughter’s mother.” Shaking my head I stood up with my gun in hand. My legs began to lead me as I was now lost in my own thoughts. “She ain’t have shit to do with it and you killed her.” By now I could feel all the emotions rushing back from the night I found Maria on the floor in her house. Chuckling bitterly, I took the butt of my gun and hit him across his face with it. Blood few from his mouth as he grunted loudly causing me to laugh before repeating my movements. I couldn’t stop, I wanted him to feel what Maria felt. “You fucking Bitch!” I spat through my blows. No one stopped me, they knew better. Licking over my lips, I watched stopped my movements and looked at him. His face was bloody as he tried to open his swollen eyes.
“My baby girl is going to have to grow up without her mother because of you.” A bitter chuckle left my lips as I held the gun up to him shooting him his other leg. “MY baby girl is going never going to be able to see her mother against because of YOU!” I let out another bullet shooting him in his chest. I watched his chest heave up and down as he tried to breath. I was finding joy in his life slipping before my eyes.
“You took my daughter’s mother so now I’m taking your life.” I stated. He was such a fucking bitch. I raised my gun so that I was aiming at his head. I gave his pathetic ass one last look before taking his last breath. I kept my eyes on his lifeless body as I began to feel a little relieve that he was gone. But still, even with him gone, Maria still wasn’t coming back.
I shook my head at the memory. I didn’t want those thoughts invading my mind on a day like this. I slowly got out of my seat and made my way to the mirror, fixing my bowtie. This was the nicest I’ve looked in a minute.
“Aye, Breezy hurry your ass up. How you gonna be late to your own wedding?” Tony said though his laughs as Tyga trailed behind him. I couldn’t help but smile. This nigga was stupid. “You ain’t the bride nigga!”
“Shut up.” I said while giving him and Tyga dap. “I’m not late bruh, you seen my bride? Her ass be late to everything.” We all let out a laugh and took a seat. These were the only two niggas that was standing by my side when all the shit in my life when down. They’ve seen me at my lowest and these were the only niggas I respected. Tony was the newest member in my life. Him and my sister Tia have been going strong. Crys said that Tony even came to her about marrying my little sister. He was the only nigga on this earth that I approve of and I knew it was a matter of time before he asked me himself.
“So you ready?” Ty asked with a smile. Chuckling a nodded and let out a small sigh. “I can’t believe I’m about to get married.” I couldn’t. I never thought I would be walking down the aisle with the woman I love. Shit, I never thought I would be surrounded by the love of all these people. Some fucked up shit has happened in my life and I finally saw that things was looking up for me. I owe Crys for that.
“Why do you love me?” I asked Crys as she played in my short curls. “I’ve brought nothing danger in your life and yet you always take me back.” Her fingers massaged my scalp causing me to relax against her small frame. Her voice was as she spoke. “Baby, you’ve brought me the most joy. You gave me my son.” She said. I knew she had a smile against her lips. “You brought me love. You made me into a woman.” This time it was my turn to smile. She always knew all the right things to say. I was lucky to wake up to her every day. After what happened with me and Steezy, I felt the need to be under her and my kids. I wasn’t going to let nobody take them from me.
“Why you’re so perfect baby?” A giggle left her lips. I had to turn and see her beautiful face. “I’m nowhere near perfect Chris.”
“You are tho.” Sitting up, I leaned against my arm and kept my eyes on her. “You’re my definition of perfect.” Her cheeks turned read from her blushing and her hand quickly covered her face causing a laugh to leave my lips. “Don’t hide, guh!” Chuckle I pulled her close to me and placed a kiss against those lips I love so much. The kiss was sweet as her fingers gripped my shirt pulling me closer to her. The feel of her tongue snaking into my mouth cause me to pull her body on top. Since we’ve gotten back together it’s been nothing but bliss. She’s been by my side helping me with Kristen and I’m glad that my daughter has her to look up to. But still, even though I’m completely in love with Crys, I will not let her take Maria’s place. Kristen has only one mommy. It was my job to teach her that and to let her know that even though Amir’s mother is with them her mother will always be watching over her until they meet again. My hands traveled down to her ass cuffing it firmly in my hands causing a small giggle to leave her lips and a smile to spread against mine.
“Stop.” She muttered. “Jordan is on her way here with Heaven.” Shrugging my shoulders, I kept my hands in place. “I don’t care, girl.” Her laugh filled the air as she muffed me and sat up straddling my lap. She was so perfect. From her curly hair, to her curves, and to that smile. I was happy to know that she loved me as much I love. She was he reason I was changing, her and my family. I left the game when I killed Cole and I wasn’t going back for no one, not even Deetch. I couldn’t wait to get all this over with so I could move my family out of this city away from my old life. I had more than enough money saved up and I knew that Crys was willing to go with me wherever. All I needed was Crys, my mama, my sister, my kids, and my right hand. With them, life was worth living.
“What are you thinking about, baby?” He eyes looked at me questionably. She was so cute, seriously. Licking over my lips, I placed let a smile spread across my lips. “I’m thinking about where I want our new house to be.” A wide smile spread across her lips as she squealed.
“Do this mean, we’re moving together?!”
“What you think, slow ass?” I blocked my face as she playfully tried to hit me before leaning down smothering my face with kisses. Laughing I playfully tried to push her away only for her to complain.
“Stop meanie.” She pouted. I couldn’t help but shake my head at her baby ass. She was such a spoiled brat.
Leaning up, I placed a kiss on her lips feeling her smile against mine as her fingers played in my short curls. Her body relaxed against mine and her lips suddenly were gone. Glancing up at her, I saw that she was looking at me with a smile. “I’m picking our house out.” I couldn’t help but let out a laugh. She should’ve known she was going to pick it out because I could care less where I lived. As long as I was with my family, I was cool. “Okay, baby.” I watched her face light up before she pecked my lips and got off me, skipping off into the room. I knew that I was going to spend the rest of my days with Crys. I always knew that was going to happen. She was my first love, my everything and I was going to make her my wife.
“Oh my gosh, Chris! You look so nice.” Turning towards the door, I saw Tia standing there with a wide smile spread across her face. My eyes instantly went down to her round pregnant belly in her bridesmaid dress as she rushed over to me. “Chill Tia.” I said through my chuckles and softly touching her belly. “I want my nephew in one piece when he come.” Tia looked at me and smacked her lips.
“What makes you think it’s a boy? I’ve told you and Tony that this is my baby girl in here.” She placed her hands on her belly and smiled. Tony laugher filled the air as he looked at her. “Girl shut up, that’s my son in there.” That of course started a whole argument because Tia was really convinced that she was carrying a girl. She was six months pregnant. Her and Tony decided to hold off on knowing what they were having because of this bet they had going on. It was pure comedy if you ask me. I was happy for my sister though. She was getting a second chance at motherhood and that’s what she deserved. Tia has been by Crys and I side for so long. She’s been my shoulder to lean on and she’s always there for us all to be honest. Tony was lucky to have her in his life and damn sure lucky for her to be carrying his child.
“Why are you here? Don’t you’re supposed to be helping the bride?” Ty asked as he lit a blunt. I watch a frown appear on Tia’s lips.
“Can you put that out?” She asked harshly as Ty mugged her. I couldn’t help but laugh. This baby was making her such an asshole lately and that was weird because Tia was the nicest out of all of us. Ty hesitantly put out the blunt as Tia spoke. “The bride is good. I came to see how my big brother out here looking.” A cheesy smile spread across her face as she came and hugged me tightly. Laugher left my lips because her belly caused us to have an awkward hug. Pulling away, I kissed her cheek.
“You and Tony next.” Her face heated up as Tony chuckled and agreed. I knew she deserved it all, she deserved to be happy. She’s been through too much. The whole thing that happened with Cole drove her to the ground. Seeing her laying in the hospital because she tried to take her life was the most heartbreaking thing I’ve even seen in my life. She deserves to get whatever and I knew Tony was going to be able to assist me in providing for her.
“Hurry and get ready, big head. She’s waiting for you.” A smirk played against her lips as she kissed Tony and made her way out. My nerves was settling in by now. I was about to do this, the wedding was about to start and I was about to start a new chapter of my life. I was so anxious, I haven’t felt like this in a long time. This day was going to be bitter sweet because although I was supposed to be happy, My mind couldn’t help but wonder to my mother and how she didn’t make it to see this day.
“Crys, don’t fucking lie to me!” I screamed as a couple tears stained my shirt. I was in my car going 90 in a forty mile zone. I don’t know how I didn’t get pulled over yet and I don’t care. The only thing that was on my mind was my mama and how she was laying in a fucking hospital bed without me by her side.
“Chris, chill. Slow down, I’m sure mama is okay.” Her words went in one ear and out the other. I hated when people tried to tell me shit was going to be okay when it wasn’t. Mama’s cancer spread and I knew she didn’t have that much time left on earth with me. It took her a minute to tell me that she had it because she was scared of my reaction, but all it did was make me spend every moment with her. “Baby, slow down please.” Crys pleaded. I could tell by the tone of her voice that she was scared because of the way I was driving. I wanted to slow down but I needed to get to my mother and this car wasn’t going quick enough. I ignored her pleas and continued to speed through the streets. I needed to get to my mama and I wasn’t trying to let the thought of losing her cross my mind. Minutes later, I pulled up at the hospital and immediately jumped out. Crys tried her best to keep up with me as I quickly made my way through the hospital trying to find my mama. I spotted Tia in the waiting area. The tears streaming down her face made me not want to approach her. I knew that she was either crying because she didn’t get any news or because mama was gone. My mind went blank before I small fingers intertwine with mine. Looking down, my eyes met Cry’s. “Come on.” She mumbled with a small smile and pulled me where everyone was. Tia looked up from her hands and quickly made her way to me, putting herself in my embrace. My arms wrapped tightly around her. Thoughts of my mama flashed through my mind making me hold on to her as if my life depended on it.
“She can’t leave us, Chris.” I heard her mutter against my chest as her tears stained it along with mine. I hated seeing my little sister tore up like this, but the thing I hated the most is not being able to fully hold her down because I was tore up to. I didn’t say anything as Tia cried in my arms, It was like I couldn’t find my voice. I just needed my mother to be okay so that this sick feeling in my stomach can go away.
“The family of Joyce Brown?” All of our eyes flew to the doctor as she approached us. The look on her face as she looked at us all didn’t help the sick feeling I was getting. “I have news..” She muttered while looking at her chart then back at us with apologetic eyes. “Ms. Brown’s cancer spread throughout, we did our best to help but the cancer was too strong. She’s gone.” She said sadly while looking at each one of us. I felt as if a ton of bricks hit me in the face. I didn’t want to believe a word she was saying, this bitch had to be lying. My mama was GOOD! Tia cried filled the room as Tony grabbed her, trying to console her. I watched as Ty let a few tears escape his eyes while Jordan frown and held tightly to Angel. I was lost in my own world as my mama’s face filled my head. I just got her back and now she was gone. I spent so much of my life hating her when I could’ve been forgave her and made even more memories with her. Small fingers entangled in mine as I looked down to see Crys. She had a couple tears running down her face but I could tell her main concern was me. My face was dry, I couldn’t cry. I wanted to but the tears wasn’t coming. But the pain was there. It was weighing down on my heart. I felt as if at any moment it would burst. I needed my mama here, in this world. I didn’t want to believe the doctor but I knew by the way I was feeling that it was true. The best person in my life was gone.
“Let’s go get some air, baby.” Crys said softly while pulling me towards the exit. My body felt numb as I let her pull me out of the hospital. It was cool outside but my body felt hot. My mama’s smile flashed throughout my brain as memories flooded. At that moment I couldn’t do nothing but collapse in Crys arms. The tears fell rapidly from my eyes as I held her tightly to me.
“Why my mama, Crys? Why she had to go?!” I asked through shorts breaths. Crys arms held me tighter as she stroked my back softly.
“Shhh, it’s okay baby. She’s in a better place.” Her voice held so much comfort and relaxed me momentarily. “You’ll see her again.” Shaking my head, I pushed her away.
“NO THE FUCK I’M NOT!” I spat at her before punching the wall. I kept punching the wall before Crys voice snapped me out of my trance.
“Chris, your hand. Stop!” She urgently. I could hear the fear in her voice before looked down at my bruised hand. It was covered in blood and I knew if I was in my right mind I would be able to feel the pain that’s supposed to be flowing through my body now. But I felt nothing. “Baby..” Crys started while softly grabbing my hand. “I know it’s tough right now, but I’m here with you every step of the way. You’re going to get through this.” She said softly. Her words didn’t comfort me as much as I hope they did, but just knowing she was by my side gave me a little hope that maybe things would start to look up and that maybe this pain would fade. But at that point, I couldn’t tell you how wrong I was.
It took me months to get out of the deep depression I was in at that moment. Losing my mama was something that I couldn’t handle. But I was thankful that Crys was there for me every step of the way. She didn’t let me lose myself in the funk. She found ways to uplift me and to make me smile. She was truly my angel and I was in complete love with that girl. She told me that my mama would want to see me happy and that dwelling over her lost is something she would want me to do. So since that day, I started celebrating her life.
“Let’s go, bro.” Tony said with a smile while leading the way out. My nerves were on ten as all types of thoughts flooded my mind. I was ready to do this, ready to marry my love and I couldn’t wait to make her Mrs. Brown. Smiling, I followed behind Ty and Tony as we made our way to the door waiting for the Ushers to open them. While waiting my mind flashed to a random memory, the memory that changed my life.
My eyes watched as a smirk played against his lips. I didn’t understand why he thought this was a joke. I literally held this nigga’s life in my hands.
“What the fuck you smirking for, BITCH?!” Ty spat while holding the gun to his temple only to cause Deetch to let out a loud laugh. It was something about this nigga that was creepy as fuck. When we bust in his warehouse he was alone, there was no signs of anyone here. I would think someone like him, that knew I was coming after him, would be strapped and waiting. My eyes stayed on his as his laughter grew louder only causing him to receive a blow to his jaw with the butt of Ty’s gun. His laughter didn’t stop though. We had him strapped to the chair covered in gasoline, beaten badly and yet he’s sitting here laughing. I wanted to know what his agenda was.
“You two really think you’re a match for me?” He asked with humor seeping through his voice. His smirk stayed plastered across his face as he looked from Ty to me. “Breezy, you really think you could defeat me?”
“By the situation you’re in, I would say yes.” I said calmly while walking a little closer to him, my hand wrapped tightly around my gun. “I’m pretty sure you know how your future looking.” My eyes never left his as his face turned stone. We engaged in an intense stare down before he started laughing again.
“Man, B let me kill this muthafucka!” I looked at Ty as he glared at Deetch. I could tell Deetch was getting to him but I needed answers for this man, I wasn’t ready for the bitch to die.
“KILL ME!” Deetch exclaimed while laughing. My eyes flew back to him as my feet carried me closer. That sick smirk was still plastered on his face, pissing me off. I took out my lighter and keeled down to his level. “You sure you ready to die?” I asked as a smirk of my own played against my lips. Deetch laughed and looked me right in the eye.
“I’m more than ready.” His eyes never left mine a she continued to speak. “You think I wasn’t strapped because ya’ll caught me lacking? No, Breezy. I wanted to get caught.” I looked down at him in confusion trying to understand his twisted mind. “I knew you was coming, so I had my works out doing.. hm what do you call it?... oh work.”  He motioned for me to come closer to him. Hesitantly, I stepped closer. “You see, you’re going to kill me, but I’m not going to be the only one dying tonight. You know that pretty bitch you go sitting at home waiting for you?” I felt my heart began to race at the mention of Crys coming from his mouth. “She’s probably already dead now, on the floor by the couch waiting for you to come and try to save her.” I stepped back, glaring down at him. I could feel my anger rise as he chuckled and looked at me with a smile.
“Bitch you fucking bluffing!” I spat. “You don’t know my bitch nor where we lay our fucking head.” The smile remained on his face as he chuckled and shrugged his shoulders.
“If that’s what you think. I mean, she did look nice today in that sundress.” My heart jumped. Crys was wearing a sundress today before I met up with Ty to come kill this nigga. I knew by now I couldn’t take no chances. My body felt stuck as I thought about this nigga having someone hurt my woman.
“B, what this bitch talking about?” Ty started “Kill this bitch.” Snapping out of my thoughts, I looked back down at Deetch watching him smirk. Shaking my head I lit my lighter and threw it on him watching his body go up in flames. His screams filled the room but I couldn’t enjoy his death, I had to get to Crys.
“Ty, lets go!” I said hurriedly as I ran toward the car with him on my trail. Hopping in the car I instantly sped off toward my home as my fingers dialed Crys number.
I watched as everyone smiled as I walked down the aisle towards the altar. Standing before everyone, my eyes landed on the people I love the most in the front row. A small smile played against my lips as Tia blew me a kiss. I watched as she tapped Amir’s shoulder and pointed towards me. A full smile broke out against my face. He looked just like his mama.
“SHE’S NOT FUCKING ANNSWERING THE PHONE!” I screamed while trying to call Crys, yet again. My heart was beating fast as fuck as I sped closer to our house.
“I’m calling Joy.” Ty said while dialing Jordan’s number. I was worried as fuck right now. I didn’t know if Deetch was bluffing or if he really did plan this out. I prayed that this nigga wasn’t crazy enough to go after my woman but something was telling me not to underestimate this motherfucka.
“I’m next.” Ty muttered while looking at Jordan who was sitting next to Tia with Heaven sitting in her lap. I smiled at the sight of my niece. She was so beautiful and I was truly happy that Jordan and Ty was happy for once. Thanks to Crys, she talked Jordan into sitting down and actually talking about her problems with Ty. She also did a little dirty work herself and but dirty work I mean threatening Ty’s life.
“FUCK! Joy been trying to get a hold to her also.” Ty said while shaking his head. I knew he was worried too. Crys was like his blood. Clenching my jaw, I pushing on the gas making the car go faster. The closer I got to home the more my nerves fucked with me. I needed her to be okay.
Minutes later we pulled up the house abruptly. Grabbing my gun, I jumped out the car with Ty hot o my trail. The lights were on and the door was already open. Shaking my head I let any negativity leave my brain. My baby had to be good.
I watched as everyone gushed of the flower girl as she made her way down the aisle. I smile proudly at how good of a job she was doing as she carefully threw the flowers on the ground. That’s my Kristen walking towards daddy looking like a split image of her mother. My eyes soon went to my beautiful bride as she walked behind her. She looked gorgeous, as she wore that smile I love so much. My breath was caught in my throat as I watched her come closer to me. She was truly stunning and all the nervousness left my body.
Rushing through the door, we found the house to be silent. I watched my back as I searched for Crys or any signs of foul play. “Crystal!” I screamed while walking in the living room. Ty and I split up through the house as I continued to call out her name. Where the fuck was she?! I thought while making my way up the stairs. I couldn’t shake this eerie feeling that took over my body as I stood in front of our bedroom door.
The closer she got the wider my smile grew on my face. It was as if no one else was here. She was truly amazing and I was honored to be spending the rest of my life with her. At this point I realized just how ready I was to tie the knot with her, she’s been my friend and my lover and I knew she was the one.
Opening the door, my heart fell to my stomach as I watched Crys lay there covered in blood on our bed. Rushing to her side, I looked down at her, my fingers brushing her curly hair out of her face.
“Don’t leave me, baby.” I said, feeling the tears fall from my eyes. “You can’t leave me too.” I said while closing my eyes and resting my forehead against hers. I felt defeated until I felt her touch on my cheek. Looking up, I met her eyes.
“Don’t cry, baby..” She said weakly while smiling softly at me.
“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Christopher Brown and..”
“I gotta get you to the hospital, baby.” I said urgently while trying to move her. I watched as she shook her head and held her stomach. She was in pain. Looking down at her body, I pulled back the covers to see her entire stomach bloody. By the look of it, I knew she had been in this position for a long time and that I was too late. “They stabbed you..” I trailed while my fingers glazed over hers. “I can still help you, just hold on baby.” I said while grabbing my phone from my pockets.. Before I could dail 911, she placed her hand over my phone and shook her head no.
“It’s too late Chris, This is my last night.”
“DON’T SAY THAT SHIT CRYS!” I screamed while looking down at her. There was no way I was letting go of her, there was no way she was fucking dying tonight. I watched as se coughed up some blood before grabbing my hand. I didn’t want to see her like this, I couldn’t watch her suffer like this.
“Look at me.” She said roughly while trying to keep her eyes open. Glancing at her, I swear I felt the exact pain she was going through. “I need you.. I need you to be strong for our babies.” She said softly while smiling weakly at me. Shaking my head, I grabbed her hand tightly and moved my face closer to her.
“I can’t with you gone, you’re my life Crys.” She took a deep breath as she struggled to keep her eyes open. I could feel her try to tighten her fingers around my hand but she was failing. I couldn’t believe this was happening, I couldn’t believe I was losing the love of my life. “This is all my fault.” I said while blaming myself. “If I wasn’t so fucked up this shit wouldn’t be happening right now.” More tears spilled from my eyes as I shook my head. I was disgusted with myself, and if anyone needed to die it was me.
“No.. baby, you are perfect.” Crys said. Her words coming out choppy as she tried to keep her eyes on me. “You made my life perfect.” My eyes stayed on her as I rested my forehead against hers. I knew she was leaving soon. Soon I felt her hand resting against my cheek as I leaned into her touch. I couldn’t bare this being the last time I would feel her.
“Promise me you’ll find happiness.” She said softly.
“I, Chris take Melly to be my wedded wife, before these witnesses. I vow to love you and care for you as long as we both shall live. I take you, with all your faults and your strengths, as I offer myself to you with my faults and my strengths. I will help you when you need help, and will turn to you when I need help. I choose you as the person with whom I will spend my life. To have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love, honor, and cherish, 'til death do us part.” I said as I looked into Melly’s eyes.
“I can’t be happy without you.” I said weakly, my eyes still closed as I took in her scent.
“You will..” She said barely audible.
“I now pronounce you Mr and Mrs. Brown, you may kiss the bride.” The pastor said as I pulled Melly close, placing a kiss against her lips. Cheers rang out as we turn to face the crowd. Everyone stood at their feet but my eyes went to the door. For a split second I could’ve swore I seen Mama and Crys, hand and hand, cheering.
I love you always, Chris.
