Day 24 - Saturday. Visit the North Asheville farmers market - fairly large and interesting. Short drive on the BRP and home. Went to Madison County Rodeo which was pretty much the opposite of the market.

Day 23 - Friday. Ride to Burnsville and back (about 70 miles). Visited Mars Hill after dinner and the State Theater. Local band Flashback Fringe.

Day 22- Thursday. Asheville day. Botanic garden for native plants, vegan lunch and Asheville art museum.

Day x - September 28. Rode to Hot Springs (coffee) and route 209 south to Trust, NC - called Shiners Run with 159 curves. Good weather.

Day 20- Tuesday. Rode to Hot Springs and route 208 to Tennessee border. Drove to Black Mountain, NC for yarn and dinner. Historical note for a famous botanist in the late 1700s.

Day 19 - Monday. Met Alice in Wesser at the River’s End restaurant for lunch (Nantahala Outdoor Center). Visited until about 4:30 and home about 6. A nice day near the river. My cold has been awful.

Day 16 - Friday, sept. 22. Ride to West Franklin for Cuban food lunch. Walk 2 miles in park. Ironweed in flower.

Day 15- Sept. 21. Rode the BRP to Crossnore and back. 80 miles and a lot of bikes. Went for dinner and the Daniel Boone native plant garden in Boone. Garden was Started in 1961. A little kiosk offered free seeds of native plants.

Day 14- Wednesday. Caught a cold. Walked two miles at the local river greenway. Photo of constructed wetland for 30 acres developed land.
