Work Phrase
#DrPGame Extra Credit Post
I used to work at Walmart while I was in high school and we often used the term zoning when we organized and straightened the items on the shelves to ensure the store looked neat and the products were easy to find and reach.

I do the same, looking for relatable posts, when I do reblogs and peer reviews. I also noted that Tumblr posts with captivating visuals tend to grab more attention.
Original Content Writing Week 13 (Post 3 of 3)
Write a style rule for writing a short tumblr post - based on what you know so far, what is a key rule for getting notices?
I do not think I am even near being a professional at navigating through Tumblr and building an audience of my own specifically. I do however think that I have spent enough time on here to know what posts of mine will receive the most interaction with our class audience as a group. I know when I am looking for posts to reblog, I often look for posts that I can relate to or my peer is struggling with something I was also struggling with during peer reviewing. I would say using this down to earth tactic may gain notices. I have also noticed that some colorful posts are at the top of our discussion as well because they are eye catching.

I agree with your take on long Podcasts! I always like listening to a captivating story while getting work done on the move.
Long Podcasts!
I feel that people listen to long podcasts for much the same reason as they watch longer YouTube content. Progress! I listen to, as do most of my friends, story-based podcasts. You can't make much progress in the story in only a few minutes. To progress the story and move characters towards where they're supposed to be, you need time. That means longer episodes! People also like longer podcasts as they can be used to pass the time while doing chores or on long drives. When they're being used to pass the time, people don't mind that they're longer!

I like your idea for a style rule for creating an Instagram reel! I had a similar idea for YouTube Short Videos, and for an Instagram Reel, I talked about trending sounds/audio and hashtags.
Original Content Writing #2
Write a style rule for creating an Instagram reel - why is this key for the Instagram followers to view the content?
A key style rule for creating an Instagram Reel is to hook your audience in the first three seconds. Start with a visually striking moment, an intriguing question, or bold text to immediately grab attention while they scroll. This is essential because Instagram’s algorithm prioritizes engaging content, and followers are more likely to view, share, and comment if they’re captivated right away. Pair this with trending audio, as it increases discoverability. Keep your message clear and concise, ensuring the visuals align with your brand or theme. End with a call-to-action like “Save for later” or “What do you think?” to boost interaction.

Write a style rule for creating a youtube short video, why is this key for the audience to view it?
Style Rule for Creating a YouTube Short Video: Start with a strong hook in the first few seconds. The audience's attention span on YouTube Shorts is short. By immediately engaging viewers with a compelling opening, you increase the likelihood they'll continue watching and interacting with your video.

I think the colors are readable. If you want to create more contract you could use word art to outline the text and/or vary the sizes of the text.
Peer Feedback!
I want to incorporate The Sims color palette into my guide, to boost my credibility and make the guide look nicer. I showed my guide to my mom and she said it was too hard to read because of the colors I chose. Below is a photo from my draft, which is what I showed her. My question to my peers is, is this too hard to read? Do I need to use less colors? Use a different background color? Is it readable as it is? I want to use The Sims colors but I also want it to be readable! Thanks in advance!

I think this is very well said and is easy to follow along. Every part is explains what you are going to do, even the bulleted points. This is very thorough and well thought out.

Here’s a screenshot of a section from my How to Write Guide that I need some feedback on. I’m focusing on how to explain the writing process in a way that’s clear to beginners, but I’m unsure if the language is too technical. Can you let me know if this part makes sense or if it needs to be simplified? I’d really appreciate your input on this specific section!

What assignment questions do you have that will help you complete the H2WG assignment successfully? @npfannen
After reviewing the feedback I received on my first draft I have a total of 3 pages for my infographic. The first page includes definition and reasons why. The second pages includes the tips and the third page includes sample content. Is this good for addressing what is needed for the H2WG?
