Three years ago, my dog went viral on Imgur and Reddit, thanks to this picture I took right after she’d yanked down a post from the front of our house with her bare strength.

But like the image above says, this is not a good post.

That dog above, the one that made so many people laugh, her name is Eva, and she’s my 7-year-old lab. She was just diagnosed with canine lymphoma.

Without chemo, she only has 3 months left with us. But her oncologist has given her a good prognosis with chemotherapy. She could live to see her 9th, 10th, and even 11th birthday.

Which means more years of this happy, ridiculous puppy.

The price to extend her life? $8500.

I nearly died when I saw the number. I’m paying off 4 student loans right now, and my parents are in insurmountable debt. I thought, this is it, we’re screwed. In between crying spells and anxiety attacks, I realized what my choices were: give up and let Eva go in the next 3 months, or crowdfund my ass off.

Internet: you’ve done it before, now I’m begging you, do it again. Spread Eva like wildfire. She deserves a second chance. She deserves the extra time, and all the fun and happiness she’ll have in that time.

My friend Stormy is a hardworking single mother, she lives on the opposite side of the country away from family and does not have money or any type of support from the father but she always puts her son first. Without fail he is her priority. One day she has to run to the grocery store and leaves her son with an adult she trusted, an adult all of her friends including myself, trusted. Now her son is in the hospital with blunt force trauma to the head awaiting possible surgery. She can’t afford to pay for the medical expenses and she does not have insurance. I was really really hoping that I wouldn’t have to, but I’ve added a donate button to my blog: the job I was supposed to have for the entirety of this summer is now offering me a position that won’t begin until August 22nd and because my period of study doesn’t continue for 12 consecutive weeks I am ineligible for any kind of government funding. I’ve applied to basically every job that’s available with absolutely 0 luck and so many of the potential jobs in my university town for the summer require you to have a vehicle, which I don’t. I have at this point no money at all to sustain my stay here and I still have to find a way to pay for my LSAT and OLSAS application that’s coming up and I’m at a complete loss. I’m still in the process for applying for more jobs–hopefully the one that I have in mind will be able to hire me this month, but until then, I have 0 dollars to my name. help out a trans mentally ill college student?

Hey, transgender mentally ill university student here. My abusive mother kicked me out when I turned 18 and lived with friends for about six months until I could move into the dorm at university. I was planning to get a job this month after recovering from a surgery to get an ovarian cyst removed on the thirteenth, but then in my recovery from the surgery I got a kidney infection and found out I have another ovarian cyst on the other side that probably needs removed surgically. On top of that, I recently went to the hospital with heart palpitations (which I’ve been having for at least a year now) and I’m being referred to a cardiologist.

Because of the surgery and other health problems, I’m two weeks behind on schoolwork right before dead week/finals and have no time to find a job, and no money to sustain myself until I can actually get one. I don’t know when I’ll be able to get a job, considering all that’s going on with my health. On top of that, I’m mentally ill, like I said. I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, PTSD, insomnia, and GAD, and I know I have at least one or two more.

That said, I have to be moved out of the dorm by June tenth. I could stay with a friend, but I have to pay for food at the bare minimum, plus some rent and utilities if I can manage it. I‘m going to need probably around $850 a month to pay for all of that. Obviously I can’t just pull that out of thin air, so I’m asking for help.

If I don’t get enough money to at least pay for for food and such to sustain myself, I might be forced to move in with my grandparents, who are also abusive and who will expect me to have close and regular contact with my abusive mother on top of putting up with being deadnamed and misgendered constantly. I’d like to avoid that if at all possible.

Hi everyone! I really need help finding a roommate, and fairly quickly, so please share this if you can! My current housemate is moving out soon, and I need somebody to move into my house by July 1st. Some info regarding the location/property: it is a small duplex house, with our rented property being the left portion of a single standing home. There is an unprecedented amount of abundant street parking(!!!) with no street parking regulations. You would have your own private bedroom and private side entrance to the house. The house is deep in a quiet residential area, but only minutes away from trader joes, highland park, Pasadena, York, and the 2, 110, and 134 freeways. It’s nestled in a really great spot in northeast la! And there’s a washer and dryer in our unit! The monthly cost would be $700 a month for rent, and $30-$100 for utilities. Regarding myself: I work 1-2 jobs full time and also go to art school full time, I generally keep busy but I’m easygoing and responsible. I take care of all the bills, communications with the housing management group, throughly clean the house consistently, and cook huge portions of Korean food to share. Ideally, I’m looking for a roommate that is also super responsible and pay all rent/bills on time, has a steady, consistent income, and is respectful, kind, and trustable. I totally understand if you’re a student looking for housing as well. I’d be most comfortable living with someone who identifies as a woman. I’d also prefer someone who is looking to live here for a long period. *Note: either you or your cosigner must have a good credit score for you to be approved by my housing management. Hello, I’m LJ and I have momentarily taken over Meg’s blog because she is too sick right now to do this for herself. Anyway, Meg is the sweetest kid you will ever meet. Just take a look at this blog and you will see all the good she does. This incredible young girl is fighting for her life and it’s up to us to help her. She’s 17; a child. No child deserves this kind of suffering. A while ago another fundraiser was being run for her, but it was outdated so this is the new one. The difference is that on this website, they only give you 30 days to earn as much as possible before the fundraiser expires so we really need to get as much support as possible. The details of Meg’s story are on the fundraiser page but basically, she needs surgery to her brain, spine and spinal cord; huge surgery only performed by American surgeons. Meg is English. Unfortunately this means that huge costs accompany the procedure and despite already raising a lot of money, there is still a bit of a way to go.  Please help her by reblogging and donating. You can donate from almost anywhere in the world and even if you donate just £5, it will help give Meg the chance to grow up and live her life. She deserves this, her brother deserves this. My friend is in a very urgent situation. Please read.

Kris is a 23-year-old lesbian medical student in India. I have been friends with Kris since we were 13 years old and attended high school here in the United States. She moved to India, as her parents wished, to attend medical school right out of high school. While there, she fell in love with her girlfriend Deva. Deva’s homophobic parents are strongly against this relationship. Yesterday, they sent men to violently bring Deva back to their house to prevent her from moving to the United States with Kris. The two of them were beaten during this encounter, and Deva was forcibly taken. Deva is still currently being held against her will, and Kris’ camera was taken and broken so that she could not post the videos she recorded of this incident. Despite this, Kris is still trying to recover Deva. They hope to come to the United States and have a life together, since their relationship is not legal in India.

The above photo is a brief screenshot of her account on Facebook and a photo of the two of them together. She contacted me today to ask that I help spread awareness of this online, so that there is pressure on officials and Deva’s family to let Deva go.

my boyfriend needs $3000 to get surgery to stop an eye disease that is causing him to go blind.

Hello it’s me again. I made a post about this that has about 1500 notes now, but pretty much stopped going around. so let’s try this again.

This is Malik. He is going blind due to a degenerative eye disease called Keratoconus. The disease alters the shape of your cornea and blurs your vision beyond the fixable range of glasses, contacts, anything. Malik is already legally blind in one eye.

There is a treatment that stops the disease called Corneal Collagen Cross-Linking, and it is performed frequently in Canada and Europe. However, it is not FDA-approved in the US, and therefore is not covered by insurance.

I had an earlier post, but I wanted one that was more explicit. We managed to get ¼ of the goal, but donations have now stopped. If everyone who had reblogged that had donated 2 dollars, we’d be done.
