let’s hold hands and dance together on top of the bridge above the creek, the running water beneath us harmonising with our footsteps. we’re wearing matching corduroy trousers, soft and warm - both pairs held up by patterned suspenders barely clinging onto our moonstruck, nervous shoulders. there’s frogs croaking around us, bumblebees buzzing and singing, and my head is resting on your shoulder :-) life is but a dream

Soft concept: You’re laying down with your head resting in your partner’s lap. Your eyes are closed but you can hear the sounds of their video game. It’s a relaxing night, just you two enjoying each other’s company in the comforting environment of the room. Your partner decides to take a break from their game to pet your hair, causing you to fall asleep. They go back to their game, waking you up gently when they start to get tired to say they’re done with gaming for the night and that you both should head to bed to cuddle and call it a night.

you don’t need to feel guilty for recovering. trauma can take such a hold on your life that it feels scary to want to let go of it, but it will be worth it
