HALO SAVES F1 DRIVER FROM HUGE ACCIDENT IN SILVERSTONE

Chinese F1 driver Zhou Guanyu was involved in a terrifying crash at the British grand pix.

Zhou's car is seen flying upside down across the Silverstone track before being wedged between the tire and barrier and catching fencing Mercedes driver George Russell, who collided with Zhou, instantly got out of his car during the Red Flag to check up on the Chinese driver. Russell had said it was one of the most horrifying accidents he had seen in recent time.

So what is halo?

A three-pronged titanium safety device that sits above the driver’s head. It is covered with carbon fiber and weighs seven kilograms. The halo’s job is to absorb a huge impact and to protect the driver from severe head trauma. Remarkably, it can take the weight of a London double-decker bus. It was introduced in 2016 as a safety measure after horrific accidents happening in that and became mandatory in 2018. The halo was previously criticized by fans and drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, and Max Verstappen. The protective gear was criticized because it obstructed the driver's vision, was visually unappealing and was against the concept of open-cockpit racing. However, it seems to have proved vital as it prevented an already horrific accident from becoming fatal. 

But in the past few years, the halo was appreciated more for saving drivers from fatal injuries and near-death experiences, After the Alfa Romeo driver emerged unscathed from his terrifying ordeal at Silverstone, the halo has now been credited with saving as many as four F1 drivers. Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu praised halo head-protecting system for saving his life .

CR7 LEAVING RED DEVILS

Cristiano Ronaldo told Man United he wants to leave this summer as he wants to see more ambition. Man Utd is still hopeful of keeping CR7, but is aware of the decision.

2021-22 was a bad season for Manchester United, as they had two managers Ole and Ralf Rangnick but still couldn't qualify for the champions league which made the fans upset. United's failure to qualify for the Champions League has also triggered a 25% reduction on players' salaries, which sources close to Ronaldo say has "upset" the player.

Because of the poor defense and weak midfield, the attackers like Cristiano Ronaldo did get the service or proper assist. Last year this time, the football world exploded when Cristiano Ronaldo had come back to man utd. But now after a year, the situation in the Carrington training ground was changed. Though United has signed a new manager Erick Ten Haag, things still haven't sped up.

Manchester United's inactivity in the transfer market and a salary reduction are among the issues that have convinced Cristiano Ronaldo to try and seek a move away from the club.

Although United are closing in on the signings of Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen, Ronaldo has grown impatient with their response to a disastrous season that which they finished trophy-less and were demoted to the Europa League.

The situation became more believe when CR7 didn't join the team at the first training under Ten Hag.

PEOPLE GEETING CAUGHT FOR DUMPING GARBAGE

Empty spaces and vacant spaces in the city are garbage dumping spots, affecting the nearby neighborhoods. Those who live nearby complain of stretch and mosquitoes.

The residents of green apple apartments in Mariyanapalya Hebbal have experienced the same. The small vacant site next to the apartment has become a garbage dump over the years. The place had a lot of mosquitoes and rats that had affected the residents. Those who lived facing the site have been affected the most. One of the residents said, “it was a nightmare living near the site. We couldn’t open our windows and balcony for a long time because of the bad stench, garbage smell, and mosquitoes. During Covid lockdown, it has become more horrible.”

The kids couldn’t play near the site, especially during the evening after 6 pm, because of mosquitoes.

The patricians who walked near the site were bothered, and some houses and apartments were also disturbed. 

The residents complained that the problem was brought to the notice of the site’s landlord, but there was no response. The apartment manager said, “the garbage dumping was from months but had had severe after corona lockdown. We had put a pluck yard, but the people dumped the garbage. Recently many tenets shifted because of the increasing smelling and mosquitoes from the site.”

At the end of October 2021,  The manager and residents addressed this problem to Byatarayanapura MLA Krishna Byre Gowda. The MLA  said the BBMP officials to look into the matter. The BBMP supervisor ____ had the residents that will keep marshals for two days for surveillance. During the two days, the martian observed and took photos.

Then on 5th November 2021, the Amurthalli police and martian caught a few people; among them, ten people were caught who daily used to dump waste on n the site. They were fined Rs 1000and booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 269 (Negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and Section 283 (Danger or obstruction in public way or line of navigation). The owner of the vacant site was fined Rs 1 lakh for

The residents also, after this, cleaned up the site.

Many people have been booked "Red-handed" by the Bengaluru police for committing the crime. The drive has covered Indra Nagar, K.G. Halli, D.J. Halli, Bharati Nagar, Pulakesh Nagar, Jaya Nagar, and many more.

A senior BBMP officer said, "This is a common practice in the city. If there is an empty space or a vacant residential plot, people start throwing garbage. This was brought to our notice, and we have decided to start penalizing the landowner for not maintaining the place." He added that the owner's duty has to keep the empty plot clean and free from the garbage.
