After each tragic event in our lives we ask ourselves how we will keep going. We all wonder how we can protect ourselves, our children, our friends, and our family. Many of the things I have read are about people wanting to place everything they hold dear into a bubble. I know how cozy those bubbles can be. Unfortunately that isn’t an option. Life is scary. Schools, theaters, concerts, driving, shopping, working and damn near everything else we do have been ruined by individuals wanting to cause terror. And that is what they created, terror. I had friends at the theater, I had someone I know in Vegas. Too many people I know have been there when shots rang out. I am terrified that one of these days I’m going to wake up and hear that someone else was there and didn’t make it. But just because I’m scared doesn’t mean I am going to stay inside. If we refuse to leave our house due to terror, they win. They want that fear. They want us to stay inside. Their actions now control our actions. We cannot give them that power. We must #Keepgoing.
