If I'm not wrong, Violet wasn't sacrificed to Malek OR Loail.

She was sacrificed to Amari. How? Lemme tell you.

You commend the soul to malek, right? But when else do you lose your soul?

When you're a venin.

Being venin requires chanelling from the source which is the earth- or Amaryllis in this case.

What if the Isle of Malek IS the Barrens?

Being a slave or whatever of the gods requires a transaction of one's soul. And if the venin are in the Isle of malek, then xaden too has given his soul to malek.

Violet doesn't yearn for amari bcs she is close to amari's temple. She mentions malek the most and she also thinks of xaden the most.

She was sacrificed to Amari. Violet has her soul intact for this very reason. She was compared to amari once as well.

So taking of power from the source directly is a transaction you make with the gods and it's what leads you to be venin.

And if this theory of mine is true, then there is a high chance that the "brother" Xaden mentioned isn't Bodhi or Garrick.

I love how I read this poem and I immediately thought of Violet.

There is nothing in common between the lady in front of the mirror and Violet Sorrengail. Nothing in looks atleast.

However, that could be Violet when she returns to her room, with no memories of her marriage, her husband, her whole world turned upside down again.

The Assembly, those who don't know her, will see a beautiful dame, the Duchess Of Tyrrendor. Those who do know her, will see her turmoil, her pain, her hidden distress, bottled up anger, and much much more.

The neatly arranged vials of fragrance- of her and Xaden's. Will she get rid of them so that it doesn't hurt? Will she keep them close, create a sense of illusion that everything is fine while she struggles to keep herself upright, walking through the Riorson house alone?

The laced cloth furnishing on her table- it reminds me of the dress she her eyes had lingered on for once- and Xaden bought it for her.

I wonder what would be going on in her mind during her marriage, knowing that she won't remember the most awaited moment- was she dreading what was next? Was she cherishing the last moment with him?

D- Rex Analysis by Sagui

Introduction: 

“Jurassic World: Rebirth”, a movie releasing on 2nd July 2025, has been met with contempt by some fans. They’re dissatisfied with many things, one of which is the absence of Owen Grady, Claire Dearing, and our all-time favourite velociraptor- Blue. However, fans find the new ‘dinosaur antagonist’, as one may call it, the most concerning matter. 

The Diabolus Rex, or the D-Rex, got its name from the Latin word ‘diabolus’, meaning ‘devil’ or ‘slanderer’. The D-Rex’s design was leaked on Reddit by a user, accompanying major plot points and designs of other dinosaurs. The leak, which is now deleted, described D-Rex as a failed clone, a result of the scientists’ failure in creating a Tyrannosaurus Rex in the initial stages of their experiments. They then deposited this creature, along with a few other failed experiments, on an island, the name of which is yet to be revealed. This island will now be explored by a group of people who aim to retrieve the DNA of three dinosaurs for a medical breakthrough. 

The D-Rex’s design was inspired by the T-Rex, Star Wars’ Rancor, and Alien’s Xenomorph. It has six limbs in total- two in front like the Rancor, the pair in the middle like that of T-Rex’s, and the two for walking, like that of the Xenomorph. It has a head that looks like that of the Xenomorph, minus the shiny skin on top. For a failed experiment, I think that the D-Rex was well designed- it can haunt the early teens’ nightmares like the Indominus Rex would do mine. 

Now, let us see how these mutations could help our new failure friend.

THE RANCOR:

The Rancor in Star Wars was a creature who could be trained to follow orders and even develop strong bonds, both physically with its arms and emotionally with its heart. While the D-Rex has not inherited the Rancor’s emotional availability, it sure has its massive arms. These long limbs could help the D-Rex hunt and catch its prey, wound its enemies, and play ‘kill’ for fun. These attacks, due to their massive size, are unblockable and will be accompanied by deadly bites and powerful claw attacks. Moreover, the D-Rex can hold its prey down while feasting on it- not that it is required if it's a human. 

THE XENOMORPH:

Now we come to the Xenomorph. The D-Rex’s head and back limbs were inspired by the Xenomorph. D-Rex might have a second set of jaws, or inner jaws, and a phallic-shaped tongue (refer to Fig 3), which can spear through almost anything. The hard exterior in the D-Rex’s head protects small spaces to not damage its brain (your tall friend, that way, could also be called a knockoff D-Rex minus the brain). Also, any attempts at hitting it in the head to kill it will be futile. 

THE T-REX:

When I think of the T-Rex, the first thing that comes to my mind is ‘RUN’. The second is its cute little front limbs, which one would think are useless. Wrong– while there is no proof of what purpose these limbs served, many scientists speculate that they were used during mating for display, to hold down prey while feasting, or to dig nests. 

With D-Rex already having the Rancor’s arms, these limbs might be vestigial for the D-Rex, or they could be used for mating- either way, the eggs would need a warm place to be in, and the long front limbs … don’t quite do the job.

The tail is one of the things the D-Rex inherited from the T Rex. The tail of the T-Rex helps it to not topple over, maintaining its balance; it would serve the same purpose for the D Rex. Taking into account its huge size, it will be even bigger and stronger for it. 

What could be the genetic composition of the D-Rex?

In Jurassic World, we do not have the Rancor and the Xenomorph (thank god), so the possible parents of the D-Rex could be the DNA of other dinosaurs, frogs, chameleons, and maybe a potato (I’m being completely serious. It inspired the Rancor.).

Dinosaurs like the Therizinosaurus and many other theropod dinosaurs, like the velociraptor, exhibit skills similar to that of the Xenomorph and the Rancor. Xenomorphs can camouflage like the velociraptors- they share similar survival instincts and analyze their surroundings before attacking. Moreover, the Xenomorphs and Velociraptors both have a Queen or an Alpha. 

In the “Jurassic Park” movie, it was mentioned that the gaps in the DNA of the dinosaurs were filled using that of the frog’s, and so, the D-Rex might have frog DNA as well (which frog?).

Overall, I think we should sit back and relax and let Gareth Edwards, the Director of Jurassic World: Rebirth, perform his magic.

This analysis was written in March of this year. Now that the movie is out, my thoughts after watching it are: The D-Rex is a lallu chapati. (Translation: It deserved more screen time.)

How similar are dragons to their riders?

very, very similar.

Let's start with Ridoc and Aotrom: it's kind of self explanatory. These two are of the same age, play pranks on each other, and Aotrom might just be protective of his loved ones like Ridoc.

Mira and Teine: The protectiveness Mira has for Violet, Teine has for her. Both of them have dry humour and an awesome streak. Mira doesn't have coordinating with other riders or fliers, and neither does Teine with other dragons.

Sawyer and Sliseage: These two are really adorable. Like, insanely adorable. Also, they're comparatively sane.

Imogen and Glane: These two have a ruthless streak but a soft side and a crush (which is of their respective species ofc)

Lilith and Aimsir: based on assumptions, these two only appear when needed. Both of them have a no crap attitude and have seen a lot of things in life. Honestly, their literally the same person in different fonts. (How I wish Aotrom does not turn out to be Aimsir's child or else I'll cry)

Bodhi and Cuir: both of them have a calm nature and give no trouble. Really nice person and dragon (fuck u daddy aetos).

Cath and Dain: don't tell me Cath wasn't disowned as well. Also, these two give "self- loathing" energy so bad

Rhiannon and Feirge: if Rhi and Feirge don't turn out be royals or smt I'll cry. These two have the commanding vibe, like they can command a crowd really well. They also have their priorities straight and aren't hot headed while making decisions.

Garrick and Chradh: no way in hell these two don't exchange dragon-human gossip Ober a cup of tea (or coffee) every day and Chradh does not torment him about his (hopefully they exist) feelings for imogen.

Xaden and Sgaeyl: there is no other dragon that will resemble Xaden more than Sgaeyl. Appreciation of asshole-ry towards them bcs it's attractive and badass? Being dramatic as fuck when my mate's bonded (or wife's) said something rude to me? Head over heels for their love? Mutual support towards Andarna? "I find it hot when my love kills" vibes? PLEASE. The graduated from the same school of Brooding and Lies. They were raised together in the Institute of I NEED Therapy but Omg My Love is so Attractive.

Also, don't tell me sgaeyl was never even once in her life in denial abt her feelings about Tairn.

Violet and Tairn: Tairn's image among people and Violet's image among people is LITERALLY THE SAME. Tairn agrees that he isn't the strongest but everyone else? Who tf is Codagh? Violet thinks she isn't the strongest but everyone else? "I'd rather lick my dragon's shit than piss her off." BOTH of them are protective towards others but they don't intervene when their loved ones are being confrontational. They let them handle it. Also, they don't like lies at all. Especially if it's Sgaeyl or Xaden lying.

Violet and Andarna: they are LITERALLY the same person. Not even different font. Just different species. Both of them being different? Holy hell. Both of them finding it hard to belong somewhere where their parents left them (andarna in vale and vi in quadrant)? Both of them being babied by Tairn even if he refuses to acknowledge it? Both of them having a violent nature? Being extremely vicious? Like Andarna doesn't know about her not being able to bear a rider, Violet did not know about her sacrifice. But their parents (tairn and sgaeyl in Andarn's case) did. Violet being reminded of her as a teen after seeing how andarna acts? Them losing a part of their autonomy when someone made decisions for them? Also, them MUTUALLY COMMITING TREASON?????

Things get so funny in the Empyrean when you realise that BOTH Asher and Lilith had a concerning taste in partners, and judged their daughter for being in the same category as if she did not inherit this from them.

And now that we see Violet and Xaden, these two have the same syndrome???

Wdym I'm into a guy who is about to kill me, is broody, has no experience when it comes to ACTUAL relationships, is emptionally consipated to everyone? But hey, he likes chocolate cake.

Wdym in into a girl who is shorter than the shortest tree I've climbed, can totally cut off my balls, has thrown multiple daggers at me and tells me about the crimes she commits AFTER commiting the crimes? But hey, she is hella smart.
