Now that the truth is out about Nern being my favorite you have to understand how i felt when the remake of Lisa came out. and it added an unskippable cutscene where he talks uninterrupted for ten minutes straight. I was euphoric it was like I won the fucking lottery. I felt like the luckiest man on earth

Crazy thing is that after this you can still find Gideon at Thunderton Cliffs, and the talk with him about "magic spinning balls" and "Shorty G" plays out normally.

No clue if anyone has ever recorded this, but if you leave Gideon at the cave in Thunderton Cliffs without having him in your active party, fight Mr. Silver (who doesn't become Mr. Mercury because you need Gideon in your acting party for the cutscene into said fight to play.), and then return to the entrance of Silver HQ. A cutscene will play where Gideon catches up with the rest of the group.

He can't be picked as a party member after this.
