It’s Official
My Quest to photograph County Durham’s premier river the the Wear is now on.
The Wear which stretches from it’s source located at Wearhead, County Durham, UK - elevation 340 m (1,115 ft)- coordinates 54.750°N 2.2225°W to it’s mouth Mouth- location North Sea, Sunderland UK- elevation 0 m (0 ft)- coordinates54.916°N 1.3577°W
The Wear stretches for 60 miles not the longest of rivers in the world but it’s still an undertaking that can’t be accomplished in a weekend, specially when work gets in the way of the fun things in life.
As Short as it is, its length stretches across 4 Ordinance Survey Maps, and has numerous settlements from start to finish to end which need to documented so I hope my labour of love doesn’t become a chore (This weeks featured photographs are from Bishop Auckland)
