(little) match girl // july 28th, 2021

red was painted as soon before we spoke

that one though, let the red become a world of turned ablaze, because now the trees start to crumble and the heat begins to rise;

everything we knew burned around us, and she stood through it all.

the match girl had sold each box, and each box burned in his skin deeper, turning the sores into burns that grew more vengeful.

the first traveller had many boxes so she instead told the match girl she would pour the gas, but instead she ended up giving it to the match girl.

the second traveller wanted to help, but when the match girl couldn’t start the flame, he let it fall.

becoming the arsonist.

the boy in the forest tried to scream, and the trees heard it, but could do nothing, as gas only made the flames paint the walls red, and soon the forest walls were red.

the match girl wanted the warmth, but instead in the end was met with coldness, because before she could open her eyes, the world around her was empty.

and dark.

the only thing left, was the red that drew from her hands, that wouldn’t wash off.

the forest boy was gone. and the first traveller couldn’t care to be left with burns.

not a sound from the forest and all the arsonist could try to burn warmth around her, but to no avail.

nothing but the ash, sorrounding her small party, abs she was now little but a thought—a headache, that awakened a nightmare in the boy’s mind.

she never thought a little red sent ablaze could make her such a little flame.

that only remained.

the little match girl.

guilt, is a funny thing. once you have it, it can never escape, until you yourself set yourself free. no the reason because of it, but you need to atone for yourself as well too.

gone girl // july 28th, 2021

a girl who is gone, going to deep down to imagine, as her world starts to slowly fade around her and everything around her starts to dim, further and further away from the sun and plunged in the deep dark depths down below. she doesn’t try to scream this time, just like last, but she slowly knows that this isn’t the last time she will sink, because the cycle will start again until she’s really gone.
