I know taking a class or something is usually the best way to learn Korean but I'm not able to. Do you know of any online (free) classes or apps that can help me learn?

Check out my Resource Master post for a long list. But I think Seemile has some classroom based lessons that you might like! ^^ 

If you like structured learning, I also recommend Talk to me in Korean, How to Study Korean, and Korean from Zero. Each of these sources should provide a thorough and well balanced curriculum. Learning from multiple sources at the same time is usually the best way when studying alone, since some sites could offer information that others might neglect to mention.

hi! so i trying to self learn korean but im having a hard time. Can you recommend a structure to follow when learning? like i can read hangul, really slowly tho, and pronouncing a lot of blocks together is hard.. so should i keep practicing hangul until it comes natural (altho i dont understand a thing) and then move to voc and grammar or shoud i start right away and practice my hangul on the way? thanks for the answer!

Hi, I personally went straight into vocab and grammar after learning hangul and I think that actually helped me memorise the pronunciation and made things a lot easier. Because I used TalkToMeInKorean there was also romanisation, so for the first few lessons I could check that if forgot the pronunciation of any of the Korean letters (which I did a lot). But only as a back up and don’t rely on romanisation once you’ve memorised hangul! 

As for structuring the rest, it’s best to follow lessons from a book or website (resources). Some people ask whether they should learn vocab or grammar first, and the answer is both together! Lessons will usually teach a grammar point, with new vocab in examples or perhaps as a vocab list, and I’d really recommend learning both. Other than that, practising everything you learn through lang-8, the hellotalk app, and reading and listening resources is really important to be able to use Korean.

Hi~ thanks for the ask^^ I watched a lot of YouTube videos, because it really seemed like someone was teaching me! I recommend: sweetandtastyTV, koreafever, koreanclass101 and seemile! Also sites like: Talktomeinkorean, lifeinkorea and howtostudykorean are really nice! You can go on koreanfromzero.com and download a pdf of their first book, it’s an amazing book, it’s very detailed and helpful :) For tips, I suggest being comfortable with hangul first, if you don’t know hangul you just can’t make it. If you know hangul, try to get used to reading things in hangul. It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand what you’re reading, I suggest reading at least 2 sentences per day without romanization :) If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to contact me^^
