Diluc is extremely touch starved, and any kind of physical contact easily catches him off-guard

Holding hands? Thank the gods he wears gloves to conceal his sweaty palms.

Hugs? The poor guy will literally go stiff the first few times hugs are initiated with him; eventually he’ll reluctantly reciprocate, with a very light touch. He doesn’t want to accidentally squeeze too hard (even though he really wants to)

His Pyro vision “short circuits” a little bit, and he’ll physically get a little warmer from being touched in an affectionate way. He will never admit that this happens.

Character Analysis: Diluc

Let’s talk about, Diluc shall we? Let’s talk about the fact he’s the one character we know almost everything about. We know where, when, how, and what happened that got him this far.

Let’s briefly recap; the ‘gifted child’, perfect at everything, had everything, BOOM, daddy’s dead, his brother and best friend is a spy, nobody understood how much this kid was suffering, his emotions were disregarded by people he trusted- people he considered heroes. The struggle should have stopped at ‘gifted child’ but no we had to add more to it, didn’t we?

Now, let’s start from the beginning. As most gifted children who grew up destined to be perfect, once that initial ‘gift’ wears off, they immediately get disappointed both in the world around them and themselves. However, Diluc’s gift never really wore off because he had the right guidance. He worked to become perfect, and he’s still trying to achieve perfection even today in his winery. So, characteristic number one; perfectionism. Then the commitment AND committed issues come forth. Commitment, because everyone once showed him he’s alone in this world, no one else to care for himself but himself. Committed, because everyone once showed him he’s alone in this world. Therefore there’s no point in making any friendships, no connections to tie him down, and once his time comes just like his father he wants to be forgotten in time. His name to only be mentioned in sentences of past tense. Hence why he believes there’s no point in idle talk, no need to bother with anyone’s shit since it’ll all be pointless one day.

Now let’s dig deep. Let’s talk about his father’s death and how the whole manga/story provided to us helps us understand just how much he changed…and how much he didn’t. As mentioned, he’s aloof, distant and very hard to truly get closer to, if any at all. However, if one were to approach him before his years spent away from Mondstadt, I believe he would be much more dismissive and aggressive towards them. Seeking the truth about his father, visions and his past showed him that even though childlike behaviour is catastrophic, it can truly brighten up someone’s life. He understands himself and who he is, he’s just trying to keep up this secretive-mysterious Ragnvindr persona up, sometimes even without realizing. This fact alone was enough to help him mature and learn to face each day, that the dawn will always come as his story says. But, there’s still this side to Diluc that he always had ever since he was young; to do what he wants. Even when he threw that tantrum and abandoned his vision as well as his place within the Knights, he still came back to do what he was taught to do in his own way. Basically Diluc is protective of the city that raised him, the city that has his memories engraved in it and just as much as he cherishes them, he cherishes the people in it as well. Call him edgelord cause there’s no way in hell he is doing all that Darknight shit and still denying that he doesn’t care about anyone.

All that being said, Diluc is undeniably just a big softie who even though was hurt by multiple people as well as himself, he still managed to pull it off and remain true to who he was…as much as possible at least. He hides it all underneath the ponytail, he stores all the fluffness in there. He is kind, caring and very much someone who would give his everything for the people he cares about. It’s just hard for him to take that first step. All it takes is someone who understands his burden and knows how to be just as serious as he is when the situation arises. Commitment is hard, trust is hard, but he’s still a cheaky asshole deep inside. Just don’t allow him to slip back into his unhealthy tendencies… keep him safe.

Hugging Headcanons for Diluc and Kaeya

Diluc:

 At the beginning of your relationship, when you’d hug him, he’d turn very stiff and would not know what to do. It’s been a while since he hugged somebody.

However, things will quickly change once he realizes how good you feel and how much he craves your touch.

He’d give u very long hugs that seem to last forever. He’s been touch starved for so long that now he can’t get enough of you. If he feels that u are trying to let go, he’d tighten his grip while whispering into your ear “Please, don’t let go yet.”

Wouldn’t hug you in public, but if you’d every try to go for that he wouldn’t stop you.

He loves it when you two are hugging together on the couch, with you basically melting into his arms. He’d gently lay his hand on your cheek, caressing it with his thumb, before locking your lips with a kiss.

Kaeya:

Loves flirting with u and whispering sweet nothings into your ear while he’s hugging you: “You smell so good.”, “You are mine now and I’m never letting you go”.

He would totally be into PDA. Holding hands sometimes isn’t enough for him. He has to place his hand around your shoulders, or around your waist, or around your hips, and would sometimes squeeze you even closer to place a kiss on your forehead.

Would 100% sneak up on u out of nowhere and give u a loving back hug “It’s so easy for anybody to hug you, y/n. What if I was another guy?” He’d say before kissing your cheek and grabbing your hand.

Mondstadt may not be his home, but whenever you two are together, your chin resting on his shoulder while his hands are tightly wrapped around you, he finally feels home. You are his home.

When Brazilian graphic designer Carol Rossetti began posting colorful illustrations of women and their stories to Facebook, she had no idea how popular they would become. 

Thousands of shares throughout the world later, the appeal of Rosetti’s work is clear. Much like the street art phenomenon Stop Telling Women To Smile, Rossetti’s empowering images are the kind you want to post on every street corner, as both a reminder and affirmation of women’s bodily autonomy. 

“It has always bothered me, the world’s attempts to control women’s bodies, behavior and identities,” Rossetti told Mic via email. “It’s a kind of oppression so deeply entangled in our culture that most people don’t even see it’s there, and how cruel it can be.”

Rossetti’s illustrations touch upon an impressive range of intersectional topics, including LGBTQ identity, body image, ageism, racism, sexism and ableism. Some characters are based on the experiences of friends or her own life, while others draw inspiration from the stories many women have shared across the Internet. 

“I see those situations I portray every day,” she wrote. “I lived some of them myself.”

Despite quickly garnering thousands of enthusiastic comments and shares on Facebook, the project started as something personal — so personal, in fact, that Rossetti is still figuring out what to call it. For now, the images reside in albums simply titled “WOMEN in english!“ or ”Mujeres en español!“ which is fitting: Rossetti’s illustrations encompass a vast set of experiences that together create a powerful picture of both women’s identity and oppression.

One of the most interesting aspects of the project is the way it has struck such a global chord. Rossetti originally wrote the text of the illustrations in Portuguese, and then worked with an Australian woman to translate them to English. A group of Israeli feminists also took it upon themselves to create versions of the illustrations in Hebrew. Now, more people have reached out to Rossetti through Facebook and offered to translate her work into even more languages. Next on the docket? Spanish, Russian, German and Lithuanian.

It’s an inspiring show of global solidarity, but the message of Rossetti’s art is clear in any language. Above all, her images celebrate being true to oneself, respecting others and questioning what society tells us is acceptable or beautiful.

“I can’t change the world by myself,” Rossetti said. “But I’d love to know that my work made people review their privileges and be more open to understanding and respecting one another.””
