Discipline vs Motivation
motivation cannot sustain you for long. motivation fades. it comes and goes based on moods and feelings.
it pushes you for thirty minutes before you decide it’d be so much more relaxing to binge your favorite show for hours and lack restraint.
your feelings will not help you grow. your feelings, and the fleeting high of motivation will keep you stagnant.
it will give you the illusion of growth with none of the actual results.
but discipline?
discipline doesn’t care about feelings. discipline cares about results, pushing through, working until you’re finished.
you can do a lot more than you think. you can achieve a lot more in a few hours than you can imagine.
your brain will quit on you prematurely.
there is a time for comfort and a time for perseverance.
a time for rest and a time for drive.
know the difference between them, don’t mix them.
set goals and use your discipline to achieve them.
