day + night 🌷
winter break is over and i‘m still in denial (i want to curl up and watch modern family)
but i gotta prepare a presentation that takes more time than i thought
i‘m also trying really hard to take care of myself: sleep enough, eat actual meals, take breaks (so i don’t procrastinate in the end)
i’m so happy about my study space and the peace and quiet i have in this apartment

I'm currently on my semester break.. finally. Nevertheless, there is an important deadline for a term paper - that's why I have to read so many books.. uff. It's not that bad though, because I love books.✨📚

I finally finished one of the coding courses that we completed during first year. This took me a while because I have severe burnout from simply existing (I should probs look into therapy cuz shit aint going good). But yeh I managed to complete 1 out of the 2 courses I did during Research Methods last year.
Realistically I have like a week tops to complete the other course which is longer and hard [ ;) ] which I am not looking forward to.
The genshin 3.1 livestream came out yesterday and I got like 300 primogems which was nice. Also the upcoming quests look amazing and I can't wait to complete them when they come out.

a little room decor update! finally put up some postcards i’ve gotten in the last few months :) i’ve also decided i’m going to try and become a notion girlie lmao (but it’s so hard to set up…anyone have tips??). right now i’m just using it as a place for my to-do lists, but i’d love to figure out how to use it more!
also, anyone on langblr have tips for learning tagalog? or i guess even just general language learning? for context, i’m half filipino but can’t speak much of the language, and recently at work i was lowkey shamed for not being fluent (by another filipino lol)…so i want to change that! any tips and suggestions are appreciated <3

Guess who revamped their Notion 🥰 I am not kidding when I say this is actually one of the most useful things in existence. It's so easy to just have a singular hub to go to for all my school stuff.

I got everything done so easily today that I didn’t know what to do with myself. It felt odd and foreign and I kept thinking I was forgetting something. I’m so thankful that it’s getting easier to get stuff done. Today’s pics consist of my to do list when I was just getting started and me trying to memorize two verses for class tomorrow. Here’s to more of doing the best I can!🥂

not pictured:
- the stress of applying to graduate school
- fall allergies already kicking my ass
- the relentless passage of time (also kicking my ass)
all things considered, i am 1/3rd of the way through my last fall semester of undergrad and life is good. still trying to wrap my head around how much everything has changed in the past 3-4 years and how much it will in the next 3-4 but if what’s happened so far is any indication of what’s to come, i think im looking forward to it

WEEKLY RESET ROUTINE
I just discovered my new favorite day of the week. The 'reset day'. It's a day where you spend your time productive, recharge & reset yourself for the new week. It doesn't have to be the only focus of the day, it can also just be a few hours or minutes of your day.
This routine will help you start a new week on the right foot, feeling organized and ready for a new week. Apparently, it should also help you to stop feeling like your life is all over the place. And that's something I can use right now so that I feel less overwhelmed with life. I will share with you how I do it, but you should definitely change it to fit it in with your routine. The important part is that you choose the elements that work for you.
Schedule a day (or a part of a specific day)
Okay, so here's the deal. Look at your weekly schedule and choose a day you can implement this in your life. It does not have to be a Sunday. I choose to do this on Monday because Sundays are always so hectic in my house.
2. Write down your goals
When you've figured out a day, start by thinking about the goal. Why are you doing this? What are your reasons for doing it? To relax? To care for your health? To get organized? To connect with your loved ones? Setting your intentions will make you more likely to stick with the routine.
3. What to do
I divide the process into 5 categories:
mental health
Do something for yourself, for your mental well-being. Do things that you enjoy doing, or that make you feel relaxed, and energized, or things that help you clear your mind like talking to friends or writing in your journal.
physical health
Get moving. Studies show that walking actually helps you to feel more energized & it helps you to clear your head.
environment/space
Organize, clean, tidy, and declutter your space. A clean space = a clear mind. It helps you to feel less overwhelmed with where your life overall.
work/school
This category is all about catching up on work or school-related things. Review how your previous week went & plan your new week. Make a new brain dump to-do list. Update your calendar, plan your study schedule, and more.
motivation
A new week means new weekly goals. So think about your goals, and write them down. Plan your week. But, more importantly, plan something to look forward to. Something that will get you through the week.

09.26.22 & 09.27.22 | autopilot
I seem to be doing my work automatically with grace and no problem, but also no awareness. This means I’m very dissociated and another personality might be fighting to take over. I can’t recognize which one, though maybe it’s Dom. Anyways, these past couple of days have been full of beauty and therapy.

[Sep, 27 - 2022]
2022 have been teaching me a very difficult lesson. People will get out of my life. Important people. I will miss them a lot, but there is nothing I can do.
At the beginning of the year I went through this breakup. This showed me why people prefer physical injuries then emotional ones. I would prefer to have all the bones of my arm broken instead of dealing with this again. I'm still recovering. Feeling all the bruises. Unfortunately there is no painKiller. But time.
I also "lost" two close friend. They found love and personal projects. I think they are too busy for me now. We don't hang out or talk anymore. Once a month one of them send me a reel and that is all.
Seeing things from a good perspective... I've been learning to be the protagonist of my own live. I won't ever again beg for company and affection.
People seem to like me, but also to replace me easily. I should learn to do so. I don't mean to be mean, but I have to be better at goodbyes.
Maybe I'm too sensitive indeed. Like an artist, even though I can't do any type of art. In conclusion, it's just the crying with a bottle of wine part. Not cool.
Maybe by the end of the year I will be a little more... I can't think of any word. Tough? No, not this one. How do people say nowadays...? "main character"? Yeah, I think it fits.
It's time to finish this "Exposing myself & Oversharing" episode.
See ya in the next one. :)

I took a lil break because I’ve been sick and wasn’t able to concentrate on anything serious the past few days. In short lil bursts I completed my Probability problem set, 5 problems from my Ordinary Differential Equations problem set, made it to 3 pages of my rough draft essay on Daisy Miller and the American Dream (pictured above), and read Lightlark by Alex Aster (this I read when I couldn’t fall asleep because of my congestion and it was a great way to pass the time). It sounds like a lot but spread out over almost a week, I’m not at my best right now.
I’m still sick, but the rest has helped and I’m hoping to get back on track the rest of the week. I have lots to do: coding, grad school apps, and 2 problem sets to finish, plus this essay due in two weeks.
