What Strength Really Means 💪

Hey everyone, my name is Abdelmajed, and this is my story.

I grew up in Gaza, a place that was once full of life. I had dreams, hopes, and a deep love for my home. But in a matter of months, everything changed. I lost my home. I lost my sense of security. I lost people I loved more than anything in the world. 💔

People often talk about strength like it’s something you can see—something loud, something powerful. But I’ve learned that true strength is often quiet.

Strength is waking up every morning when you don’t know what the day will bring. Strength is carrying the memories of those you’ve lost, while still choosing to move forward. Strength is believing in a better tomorrow, even when today feels impossible.

I don’t share my story for sympathy. I share it because I know that there is still kindness in this world. I still believe in people, in love, in hope. And I know that no matter what happens, I will keep going. Because that’s what strength really is.

Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life 1997

"Spice Up Your Life" is a song by British girl group the Spice Girls, released as the lead single from their second studio album, Spiceworld (1997). The song was co-written by the Spice Girls with Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard, at the same time as the group was shooting scenes for their 1997 film Spice World. The song's theme reflects the group desire to "write a song for the world" while the lyrics have been labeled as dance-oriented with a self-promoting message.

"Spice Up Your Life" received an extensive worldwide promotional campaign and was a commercial success. It debuted atop the UK Singles Chart, becoming the group's fifth consecutive number one in the UK and has since been certified double platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). It performed similarly on the music charts in the rest of Europe and Oceania. It it peaked at number two on the Canadian Singles Chart, and number 18 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

The music video, directed by Marcus Nispel, features the Spice Girls in a futuristic setting, inspired by the 1982 film Blade Runner, controlling every aspect of society in a dark post-apocalyptic cityscape. The video won the award for Best Video at the 1998 Edison Music Awards, and was nominated for British Video of the Year at the 1998 Brit Awards, and for Best Special Effects at the 1997 Music Video Production Association (MVPA) Awards. The song was performed at the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony in London, and was used in the 2023 film Barbie and the third of the Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials, "The Giggle", in which the main villain of the episode (The Toymaker, played by Neil Patrick Harris) makes a grand entrance with the song playing in the background.

So with Joann going under and as a Fashion/Costume Designer and a cosplayer I need a place to get fabric and notions, and I know many others feel lost as well

So I made a short simple list of online fabric stores as well as notions .

Please share with anyone you would like. If you have recommendations of things to add please let me know.

There's only a few right now of ones I know and have used

I may add a few niche ones like Silk Baron but I am mainly adding ones with many options and maybe add a niche section later

More places with trims would be nice, or even patterns, historical, cosplay, or everyday.

Like a lot of people warned, Texas has now introduced a bill to ban all trans healthcare at any age.

It is literally the same bill they used against minors, but with "child" replaced with "person".

At the same time, Iowa is passing a bill to remove civil rights protections from trans people, legalizing discrimination

Again: It was never about protecting children. It was about getting their foot in the door towards increasingly extreme and genocidal policies. This was obvious from the start and they even admitted to it more than once, but the media continuously underplayed it and pretended it was reasonable.
