From the Comfort of Ireland, Watching the Suffering and Starvation of my Family in Gaza

Imagine leaving your whole family in Gaza behind and having to evacuate to Ireland in the middle of a devastating war that spares no one and nothing. You watch the massacres live in the news and countless horrific scenarios play out in your mind, take your sleep away, and put you in a miserable condition.

You call your mother from the comfort and easy life of Ireland to hear the following words: the last couple of nights were horrible we could not sleep because of the nonstop bombing in the area! We bake rotten flour to make bread! We are freezing every night, especially the children!

As you can see in the video below, it is incredibly hard to get bread and food in Gaza now. This is how much people and my family are starving while I have everything I need within hand reach in Ireland.

Would not that boil the blood in your veins and drive you crazy?! In one what universe, one hears such things from his family in the middle of a genocidal war and does not lose it?! What studies?! What freaking PhD to focus on?!

First things first! Evacuating and saving my family first and other things come along later!

I am still campaigning to evacuate and reunite with my family in Ireland and start anew. I am only a human, a heartbroken traumatized one, and I cannot do this alone. I am sick and worried every minute of every day watching the horrific massacres all the time on the news).

I'm Ashraf from the war-torn Gaza. I've lived an entire life under siege in Gaza, facing relentless military actions and life-threatening conditions daily. In October 2023, the conflict escalated drastically, devastating my newly built house, my neighborhood,my workplace, and jeopardizing the lives of my family.

I mourn the loss of our safe haven, but more urgently, I need to secure a future for my family away from the constant threat of bombings that have become our grim reality.

Meet Yamane, our precious seven-month-old. Who was born during this war, We aspire to provide him with opportunities that surpass our own experiences, fostering a future filled with joy and prosperity.

This campaign is a call to arms for all who believe in the transformative power of community support. Yamen... he's only a baby. He doesn't understand the fear that grips us, the darkness that engulfs our lives. I had a few days to go and I was about to start a new life and look for a suitable woman to marry.

I had achieved some things that I had dreamed of since October 7, which was buying a house, but the war destroyed my dreams and ambitions.

I had a nice exhibition related to children's and women's shoe sales

The exhibition was destroyed by incendiary shells fired by the occupation

I had accumulated debts and obligations to the merchants, and the fair was full of goods ..

And my father also had this happen to him in his exhibition

This destruction has caused us to lose our sources of livelihood and the livelihood of the workers who work in both exhibitions ..

* The war took everything from me

I lost my pets in our house

All I hope for now is to reunite my family in Egypt and save them from the disastrous situation in which they are living ..

nader @abdalsalam1990 is a 17 year old boy from gaza who really can't catch a break. at this point, i've made many posts trying to bring him and his family some reprieve through this campaign, and so has he. even when he's really sick--as he is right now--nader puts a lot of work into running the logistics of this campaign and trying to spread it so his family can continue to survive. it's really hard on him and it's been really sad to witness him getting sicker by the day, knowing that he still has the weight of the world on his shoulders. any donations help lift that burden, if only a little.

Due to the war, I have lost so much. My home, once my family’s refuge, was taken away. I was unable to protect my unborn child from the harshness of these times, and shortly after, I lost my job, which was my only source of income.
