My friend Kori is due to have her second baby in less than a month. Her daughter can’t pronounce the chosen name yet, so she calls the baby “Wormy”. She also loves The Very Hungry Caterpillar, so I knitted the baby his first costume! It turned out real cute!

Thanks friend :) stay safe
Hihi! I just came across your blog and I LOVE IT!! I haven’t knit in a couple years because I lost motivation, but seeing your blog really makes me want to start back up again! I love all of the coziness of your blog. :) happy knitting!
I have no idea when this was from so I'm sorry if this is really late, but THANK YOU!!!!
This has genuinely made me feel so proud and has inspired me to get back to my knitting that I've not had enough time for recently
Thank you so much!!

Oh how wrong I was. How naïve
Just moved into uni and have had to leave the majority of my knitting supplies at home, should hopefully get me more motivated to finish my jumper though

Sooo I haven't knit in a while, mainly because of the stress of moving to and starting uni in the middle of a pandemic. It's been a tough one and I sadly don't have as much time as I'd like to knit as much as I did when my entire country was in lockdown and I didn't leave the house for days at a time.
That said, some of my New Year's Resolutions for 2021 include:
Finishing that damn jumper
Learning different ways to cable knit
Making at least 2 cuddly toys to try and use up some of the wool that's been in my stash longer than I care to admit
The pandemic is horrible but I'm going to try and make it less horrible by making soft things when I can.
I hope everyone's keeping well and safe, and happy knitting everyone. :))

If anyone has any tips for mitered squares, I'd love to hear them.
Adding on extra squares and a border seems to help the wonky-ness, but i still feel like there's plenty of room for improvement.
It also doesnt really want to lay flat without me patting it down.
The version im using calls for a CDD/sk2p for the decrease- slip 2 stitches knitwise, knit 1, pass 2 slipped stitches over.
(And yes, I did pick up the border stitches on the wrong side)

It might look like she's going fast, but she's actually knitting pretty slowly, compared to the speed you get when used to the technique.
