This is your reminder that telling rural queers to move to bigger cities or different countries because they are often more "queer friendly" is not a solution. There will always be queer people in rural towns, and not all of us want to leave our small towns. Those who do are probably stuck financially because, in case some of you don't know: relocating to a different city or country is fucking expensive.

what you have to understand about kink at pride discourse and the reason people discuss it alongside discussions of transmisogyny and things like drag queen bans is that trans women are seen as sexually perverse, deviant, and engaging in fetish simply by existing as a woman in public, and your arguments of "no kink at pride because of the children" is the exact reasoning given behind banning public displays of transfemininity

Having one alter who is much more functional than the others can be disorienting. If you are that one alter, you may find yourself frustrated or confused as to why it isn't like that all the time. If you aren't, you may feel incredibly disconnected from the more functional alter and their life. No matter which side of it you are, it can be isolating or upsetting.
But no matter how functional each alter is in comparison to each other, it's still possible to heal together. Your trauma made it necessary for one alter to appear more functional to the outside world, so as you heal from that trauma, things will get easier. Over time you can learn to work together to make everyone as content and successful as possible; it isn't easy, it isn't quick, but it is achievable - and I promise that means achievable for you - and remembering that may help give you hope when things get tough.
