Reality

In another world, I'm on my vacation, In my grandparents’ home, Talking to them, spending time. Going to temples with them, Experiencing the serenity of it all.

I'm in a room, Feeling hopeless in secret, Wanting to cry, But controlling the tears. Once they flow there is no end.

I haven't studied properly in months. I brought this on myself. Finals are in a month, It’s all my fault.

Is it? I’m tired. Am I blaming too much on myself? That’s what my friends say. Are they right? It sounds like an excuse.

My existence feels like an excuse.

The reality I've created, Is so far away from the ideals I need a fresh start, Undo the past year, Sadly, that is but a wish.

Could I change the world I’ve created, Change my life?

I hope I look back To this poem, Next year And smile Instead of relate.
