Well, I did it.  I was really nervous at first to present the project.  I also wish I wasn't in the middle and I could of got it done with in the beginning, but I couldn't change that.  Right before I got up I saw a notification from my boyfriend telling me that I was going to do great.  It put the smile on my face that I needed.  I got up there, presented and I couldn't be more pleased with the response that I received.  A huge wave of tension left and I am so proud of what I accomplished.

After working all night on mock ups I am pleased to present the new mockups I have created.  I also sat back and started thinking about the differences between the social medias that I was using.  Originally I was just kind of inputting the same thing through all of the social medias instead of using each social media platform to their potential.  I thought about how Instagram is mainly picture based and how I should use it to showcase the work that the students have come up with alongside the Dior team.  I then thought about using twitter instead of promoting the items directly as making a community of students who are going to the school through hashtags.  This hashtag being #forkidsbykids I used Facebook as a platform to invite the kids to work with the Dior team on their uniforms.

Well this is what I came up with.  I was so proud of what I did.  When I showed it to Derek he pointed out some huge flaws in it.  This kind of messed me up for the rest of the class until I learned about mock ups in the last five minutes of class.  Pasiri sat down and showed me where to get mock ups and taught me how to use them.  This was a spark of inspiration that propelled me to get working harder on this project.

What a busy week.  It started with the amazing Steve Stacey talking with us and explaining his creative process when woking with singers and bands on creating their album covers.  It was so interesting to learn how he had to work with Beck and how some people are very opinionated and want to do the work with the designer.  After we had to put images on a wall and create a hype wall.  I had pictures but I was really confused.  It wasn't until the next day when I realized what to do for it, but it was kinda late.  I came up with the idea of WAGS.  WAGS stands for Wives and Girlfriends of celebrity athletes.  It is basically about women who have no hype but want hype so they go around having sex with athletes to try to get hype and and validate themselves.  Wish I had thought of this when we had to make the wall.

The next day we had to give our pitches to the class and I was excited.  My idea was a high end fashion company working with a boarding school to create uniforms that the students will want to wear that follow the uniform regulations. When I presented the idea I was thrilled with the responses I received.  Everyone seemed to enjoy my idea.

Today is the first day of lectures at Ravensbourne for digital design and advertising.  I walked into class one minute late because I needed to be fashionably late, but not too late that the door is locked and I can't get in.  Went to the front of the class so they could all see my outfit, sat down and started writing my notes on the lecture.  

After the lecture we split up into groups and were to rethink the project brief for our first project into lame mans terms.  We spent the next maybe thirty minutes trying to decipher what the confusing brief was saying and making it so that anyone could understand it.

When we got back from lunch we were learning about Jean-Michel Basquiat and how he rebranded art at this time with the use of street art.  He began a new branding revolution with samo and his crown.  

Then we started to come up with examples of hyped things and their interesting attributes that would create a campaign, so example Kanye West’s brand is based around fashion and his unpredictable character which keeps everyone intrigued as to where and what he will do next.  Below we have some examples of the people we looked at and their persona traits that we came up with.
