Learn to Spot the BS

He tells me that he and his fiancé broke up, (Awwwww) a few months ago (Ooooooh). He tells me she had a mental breakdown and also couldn’t perform sexually at the pace and frequency he wanted, and it was sssssooooooo hard for him, so he broke up with her (gaslights to make it her fault). He tells me he has trust issues after her (trying to pull at your emotions, make you feel bad for him) but still finds it REALLY important that the sexual chemistry is there (he’s sssoooo hurt but still views sex as a need that you MUST fulfill). He told me at least two sex stories and keeps mentioning how we’re going to fuck on the first date, when I said that’s not my style, he says he understands and then messages “I wouldn’t be surprised if we fucked in the pool.” (completely disregards my boundaries.) I forgot to mention, he’s relatively cute, owns a successful starter up, and let’s say, young.

Why am I writing this? Bc a lot of women would believe this garbage. Many will fail to see he’s gaslighting, fail to see the red flags, and that he’s setting up the dynamic to make it so YOU have to please him and fulfill his need before anything else (you’re the prize). He’s very blunt about it too. Many will think that bc he’s cute and has a bit of money, he will spend on them AFTER they do what he wants. He won’t. Some might even think that they’re special and they won’t get played. You will. A lot of women would be thinking of ways to please him, even ask “How do I get him to spend?” Well first, you need to understand that he has no interest in spending on you. They promise you this and that, but first you need to do what they want before you get anything. You won’t get anything.

People will literally tell you what kind of person they are. Learn to read between the lines.

The SB/sex worker side of tumblr may seem more catty and materialistic to outsiders but never have I seen a group of women more aware of our self worth and confident about what we want out of life. According to the real world we should all not want to look our best, not use the looks we have to our advantage, not want to be with financially stable/generous men, and the list goes on and on. At least here we can all be young, hot, and demand the best. Sometimes I really worry that without sex work I would have just settled for a life of mediocrity and putting everyone else first.

Get used to talking about money

If you want to go into SW. get used to telling them your price. Get used to calling them out on their promises. Get used to demanding what you’re worth. Otherwise they will all try and low ball you.
