Fun Story to Share.

I got my (now 18-year-old) daughter into Ao3 back in 2021. I taught her she should always comment - even if the fic looks old or abandoned or whatever. She did.

Well - she got this email this morning:

The fic was written in 2014 and essentially abandoned.

Bethy read and reviewed in 2021 (and was actually the only person who had commented at all).

Today in 2025 - the final chapter was posted by the author and this was her reply to Bethy’s comment.

BTW i see these posts all the time like "ohhh i dont know what to comment on fics.." and every response is "keysmashes! or hearts!! anything works :3" and thats GREAT!! thats helpful!!

but: consider. if u genuinely like analyzing writing.. do u know ur just allowed to go through and quote your favorite parts and ramble abt what they mean to u and the author will LOSE IT WITH HYPE?

genuinely. i felt SO WEIRD the first time i did it.. but like. holy shit authors love it. its crack for authors. the first time i did it, it was on a fic that hadnt updated in half a year, give or take, and the author made 3 updates that month BECAUSE OF MY COMMENT.

LIKE. as an author every comment is INCREDIBLE!!! but also, dont feel like your comment has to be short or otherwise ur invasive or smth!! authors ADORE long comments more than ANYTHING.

i made this as smth silly i was drawing at a party and it's been stuck in my head for the past week... after finishing finals, moving out from college, and battling with burnout i really wanted to get this done. bc i want to draw smth gay, note that i'm alive and well, do smth i've never done before.

NULL BAD ENDING HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

so. insane spoilers for NULL bad ending. PLEASE watch the video before you read this!!! . . . . . . .

SOMETHING is going on in the bad ending of NULL week and it's PISSING ME OFF  In the normal playthrough of Access Denied, there's a small section where Boyfriend[?] attempts to get ownership back, but as in the name, gets denied. But in the bad ending cutscene, he gets granted access suddenly?? And then deletes NULL. I put a question mark next to Boyfriend because I'm not sure if this IS Boyfriend anymore?? At least in the bad ending. We don't have absolute confirmation if Glitch got deleted like Senpai did and is now a NULL as well. But seeing as the ownership got transferred to "Boyfriend" I don't think so. Since only Senpai gets deleted at the end of week 6.

SO! I assume since Glitch survived and since Boyfriend got forcibly pushed into the game by Harvester, Glitch sorta assumed the role of BF? Maybe we're not actually playing AS BF in Null and Void, CHKDSK, and a majority of Access Denied. Maybe BF takes back control when he sees what happened in Corruption's Senpai week. We're not told HOW to get the bad ending and I can't play it for myself [i can't download it and oh yeah ITS NOT EVEN OUT YET] so I don't know if the requirement has something to do with week 6 or fuck- even the GLITCH BF SHIMEJI YOU CAN GET but SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY, BF/Glitch gets ownership access and fucking DELETES NULL. I assume this actually kills him this time, seeing as his skeleton flashes on screen for a moment.

Now what intrigues me is AFTER that cutscene. Boyfriend[???] actually gets out of the game and is very uncharacteristically silent before he loses his shit laughing and starts to cry. Again, I'm unsure if this is BF, Glitch in the real world, or MAYBE SPIRIT taking his body this time. The shine in his eyes ARE red so I wouldn't be surprised. But then the CORRUPTION starts to talk to him for god knows what reason. But I'm also getting mixed messages there.

"I may have judged you too soon" implies this is a member of the corruption it's judged too harshly it's talking to, but "You haven't slept in a while..." implies its STILL talking to Boyfriend. Then AGAIN it could be talking about each side of BF, Corrupted and Uncorrupted. Perhaps this voice had its doubts about Boyfriend as a weapon, but Glitch going and deleting NULL proved the voice wrong? The corruption might view all sides of BF as one entity AND this can be proven by how it talks to him in Discharge [i have a WHOLE other rant on that bullshit on the Corruption Anniversary book don't get me STARTED.]

BUT there's also a SECRET SNEAKY LINE IN "I may have judged you too soon" THAT PHANTOM TRIED TO FUCKING HIDE FROM ME. "Perhaps that jester was not needed after all." which had me going CRAZY when I first saw it because WHAT THE FUCK?? context: the "jester" is most definitely Harvester since they're the only jester lookin MF in the mod. BUT. This could either be talking about Harvester's plan to fucking MURDER Boyfriend like they did in the.. "good ending" of Access Denied OR, again, they could be talking about the Harvester as a weapon. We only see Harvester appear AFTER BF gets uncorrupted [not directly after but i think in Hivemind..?] SO they could've been made BY the corruption since BF was a strong unit that the corruption had lost. IF the corruption wasn't made by Harvester that is, which is LOOKING LIKE THE CASE!!!

BUT that also brings up the question WHO THE FUCK MADE IT?? again, I know Monster is an option but. shut up! /j [which brings up another question- where the fuck IS Monster?? That guy hasn't been seen since week 2!!!! bro died or smth....] It seems that all the arrows ARE pointing to Monster being behind the corruption though. Seeing as they're the last FNF character left [at the time corruption mod was made] AND the fact this mod originated in Winter Horrorland, AKA their song. But yk Phantom could also dunk another O on my head and tell me to go fuck myself. . . . [but yk, Harvester presumably NOT being the realtor of the corruption is GREAT for me bc I don't look like an IDIOT!!!!!]

This- is all under the assumption that Glitch is still alive. Which in my defense, seems likely. At least for somebody who hasn't been in the discord server the last 2 years...................... BUT IT'S FINE! I haven't heard anything of Glitch canonically being deleted after Roots. All it said was "one left" and was never heard from again..... UNTIL ACCESS DENIED OFC!!!

There's so much that we're NOT told and have to figure out ourselves and I cannot WAIT for the demo to actually release. I- can't play it because I'm on a school Chromebook and I'm pretty sure my shit would EXPLODE if I even tried to download it. [also that chart looks terrifying. CHKDSK has over 1k notes IM NOT DOIN ALLAT!!!] I don't have much else to say, but you'll probably hear me yap later today in Corruption Anniversary LOL.
