New Govt. Guideline Will Not Allow You to Buy RO, here is Why
There will be a large shift in the water purifier and filtering industry as the government has passed new guidelines which clearly state that the use of certain water filters is not required in cases when municipal water contains a certain number of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).
The Reverse Osmosis (RO) filter is unnecessary in cases where the TDS are below 500 mg per liter. Additionally, the water recovery from these filters must be between 60 and 75 percent to ensure reduced wastage of water. But, Kitz Filters have a solution to the problem of water wastage from RO filters. You will soon come to know why they are a leader in water purification devices.
The move comes after the National Green Tribunal ordered directions to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to ban water purifiers in areas where municipal water has 500 milligrams of total dissolved solids in the water.
In India, various states have different levels of TDS, meaning some areas may not even require RO filters. Using RO filters on the water with a TDS of 500 mg per liter Removes valuable Minerals from the water in a process known as demineralization.
Besides that, RO filters are prone to wasting water. It is seen that some filters only produce 1 liter of water for every 4 liters of water that are filtered.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a process by which minerals are forced out of the water through pressure. In reverse osmosis water filters, water is pushed through a membrane that has a size restriction. Therefore, allowing water through and restricting minerals with certain sizes, letting a small amount through.

Where Will it be Applicable?
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are inorganic and minute amounts of organic minerals that are dissolved in water. Although water is treated to Maintain the amount of TDS in municipal water, this TDS level may remain high or be appropriate for human consumption.
It all depends on the original quality of the water and the treatment of the water at municipal water treatment plants.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the palatability of water is graded based on the total content of TDS in water. The grading system is as follows:
Below 300 mg per liter = Excellent
900 mg per liter = Poor
Above 1,200 mg = Unpalatable/Unacceptable
Groundwater vs Municipal Water TDS Levels
Water sourced from the ground is usually the main source of water that is taken and treated by municipal corporations before being distributed to the public. However, most areas deem this water unpalatable and unusable for consumption. Hence, the need for water purification devices in households.
However, a particular example of a study done in Patna highlights that not all municipal water is of poor quality. Based on a paper on the groundwater quality in Patna, Bihar, 100 water samples of groundwater from 10 sites showed that the groundwater quality was within national and even international standards.
Furthermore, there were revelations that the water quality of tap water at a Patna railway station was found to have better quality than several bottled water options being sold at the railway station.
The tests carried out were to measure various characteristics of the water including Conductivity, pH, Total Hardness, Total Alkalinity, Sulphate, and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), proving that not all water needs RO filtration processing.
Chlorine and Fluorine in Ground Water
Two other elements that have been found in water are Chlorine and Fluorine. Both elements can cause health problems when consumed in excessive amounts regularly.
Around 86 districts showed the above-the-average or excessive presence of Chlorine in drinking water, while 191 districts have excessive amounts of Fluorine in their water.
The thresholds are 1000 mg/L for Chlorine and 1.5 mg/L for Fluorine in groundwater. Note that it is beneficial to have less than 1 mg/L Fluorine in groundwater.
What is Wrong with the Use of RO Water Filters?
Reverse osmosis is only useful when there is an excessive amount of minerals in the water. If mineral quantities are already permissible, this process could lead to mineral amounts being further reduced and the water becoming demineralized.
Apart from the removal of minerals that can be beneficial in small amounts, the reverse osmosis filtration process can be wasteful as well. In trying to filter and remove as many minerals as possible, an excessive amount of water is discarded, resulting in the wastage of precious water.
This is especially wasteful when the water that is being sent into the RO water filter is already safe enough to drink! That would be an obvious waste of water which is such an important resource.
The solution to Reverse Osmosis with Kitz Micro Filter JIS Standard Water Purifiers
Unlike other reverse osmosis water filters, the filtering process of the Kitz Micro Filter ensures that desirable mineral levels are maintained and that there is no water loss! Thereby, solving two common problems associated with water purification in India.
Thus, more water can be churned out that is safe to drink and up to mark when it comes to appropriate TDS that is enforced by the World Health Organization.
The improved technology developed by the Made in Japan Kitz filter ensures that it uses the most modern approaches to purifying water that has high levels of total dissolved solids.
If you are conscious about water and want a filter that offers zero water wastage and at the same time performs as the best purifier for municipal water, Kitz is the best solution for you! You can Install the Kitz water filter without worrying about what the minerals in your municipal water will be, our technology is automated to ensure that only the best water is released.
End Note
With new government guidelines coming into force, you want to make sure that the water you drink is safe and abides by national and international norms. For that to happen, you need a water filter with technology that carefully purifies your water without wasting a lot.
The Kitz Micro Filter is a solution to all your problems as well as one which will be by the new government guidelines while keeping your health a top priority!

Understanding the Advanced Japanese Filtration Technology of Kitz Micro Filter
Throughout the years, several companies across multiple countries have been developing water Filtration Technology to produce clean water that is safe enough to drink and use for consumption. However, there is always a debate as to which device or technology yields the best drinkable water.
For people living in countries where water sanitation is properly undertaken with the right equipment and process, the best technology is needed to make your water safe with the right process.
Take a look as we discuss several water filters as well as why the technology of Kitz Micro Filters is best for modern-day requirements.
How Water Filters Work
You can find numerous filters on the market, each one providing a different filtering process or material. These are a few other types of water filters and their working.
Activated Alumina
Working based on absorption, activated Alumina is capable of removing excess amounts of Fluoride, Arsenic, and Selenium which may be abundantly present in tap water or untreated water being sourced to households. The Alumina is usually present as a base and needs regular cleaning.
Carbon Block and Activated Carbon
Granulated Carbon or a Carbon block has a large number of pores or open holes by which contaminants, impurities, and odor-emitting substances can be eliminated with this technique. However, the Carbon will need eventual changes when all the pores become blocked.
Ceramic Filters
The ceramic’s surface bears half a micron or smaller pores in ceramic filters. Water can pass through the pores, but impurities and bacteria are too large to pass through the pores, so they remain embedded in the ceramic.
Distillation
Distillation filters rely on the differing boiling points of water and any chemical dissolved or mixed with it. The water is heated and turned to steam, which is pure water, and is collected at a different outlet.
Sand and Sediment Mesh
Using mechanical filtration, sand, and sediment meshwork by collecting out all particles or solid impurities from water. The sand and mesh create layers that bear certain sizes through which only water is collected. But it cannot be used to remove chemicals and bacteria that can pass through the filter’s minute spaces.
Absorption Filters
Similar to Carbon and Activated Carbon filters, absorption filters work by using a certain material to absorb and hold chemicals or materials on the surface of or within the material.
Sequestration
The process of sequestration in filtering involves completely isolating a substance from municipal water. A commonly used substance for this is Polyphosphate which is used to sequester Calcium and Magnesium, which are the cause of limestone.
Kitz Micro Filter Japan’s Advanced Fiber Filtration Technology with 4 filtration levels
The Japanese filtration technology of Kitz Micro Filter with JIS Japan standards is advanced and surpasses the standards of other water filtering technology which often falls short of assuring a safe water supply for you and your family.
The Kitz Micro Filter makes use of four types of filters:
Non-Woven Fabric Filter
Granular Activated Carbon Filter
Fibriform Activated Carbon Filter
Hollow Fiber Ultra Filter
Using these four filters will ensure that tap water of any quality becomes safe for drinking and use in the kitchen.
Non-Woven Fabric Filtration Technology
This is the first filter or pre-filter whose purpose is to catch and filter out larger sediments that are suspended in the water. The non-woven fabric performs with very small spaces between the fabric and it is just small enough to catch larger objects that cannot pass through them.
Items that can be filtered out from the tap water using a Non-Woven Fabric Filter include dust, straw, stones, and other foreign particles that are immiscible in water and too large to pass through the non-woven fabric.
From this filter, all large objects are removed from the water and it is, therefore, ready to move on to the next step of processing.
Granular Activated Carbon Filtration Technology
Activated Carbon is commonly used in water filtration. However, the carbon used in the Kitz Micro Filter is specially activated to show enhanced performance that other activated carbon does not show. This is due to its steam activation which results in less impure carbon and thus, a greater number of open surface pores to absorb impurities from the water.
Impurities that can be absorbed through the granular activated carbon filter are Chlorine, trihalomethane, and a musty odor. This improves the quality of the water and makes it safer for drinking.
Fibriform Activated Carbon Filtration Technology
Lead is poison and can lead to developmental delays, abdominal pain, neurologic changes, and irritability and in very high doses it may even be fatal. Thus, it is very important to make sure the water consumed is completely lead-free and not just low levels of lead that other water filtering technologies fail to eradicate from the output water.
The third layer containing a fibriform activated carbon filter is mainly used for removing dissolved lead from the water. Sometimes small amounts of lead are found in regular tap water due to the use of lead faucets or lead pipes that may be used in transporting water from the source to the final destination, this possibly being into your home.
Hollow Fiber Ultra Filter
The Hollow Fiber Ultra Filter acts as the fourth and final layer of the Kitz Micro Filter which is by far the most effective layer that renders the device very effective in emitting the safest water for cooking and drinking use.
The filter can filter out foreign bodies that are as small as 0.1μm (0.0001mm). Given this size range, this filter targets microorganisms that bear a microscopic size. The microorganisms that can be eliminated through the hollow fiber ultrafilter are bacteria, coliform, and parasites, rendering safe water for consumption.
How Kitz Micro Filter Japan Ensures the Best Form of Drinking Water from Municipal Water?
Tap water is sourced from underground water sources or in some cases from open water bodies as well. Drinking tap water that is directly sourced from either of these sources is not advisable!
While being transported through pipes to your home, tap water may become contaminated with many dangerous objects along the way. This could be something as visible as stones and dirt or invisible such as chemicals and microorganisms.
Kitz Micro Filter”s advanced Technology that meets the criteria set by JIS Japan standards, uses not one or two but four layers to purify your water! At every layer, a different set of impurities, pathogens, bacteria, or excessive minerals are being removed and lowered to ensure the water that finally reaches you is safe and drinkable.
Thus, tap water is unsafe to drink and you shouldn’t consume it until it has been put through rigorous filtering, preferably using the Kitz Micro Filter Japan which offers unparalleled water filtration, and these properties of Kitz Micro filter Japan makes it the best suitable water purifier for municipal water.
Conclusion
At the end, When it comes to your health and safety, making sure that the water you consume is completely clean and free of toxic substances and pathogens is crucial! In some cases, it can be the difference between living a healthy life and death.
The Kitz Micro Filter Japan with advanced Japanese filtration technology is just the technology you need to render your tap water safe and drinkable, ensuring you get the best from life. You can benefit from the modern devices that this company is offering to ensure the safety of you and your family.
