Just wondering since @hs-spritely seems to have deactivated and I can’t find their original post if you know what the colors on the autistic flag represent? If not then don’t worry about it but I really like flag and your pride offshoots (I use the autistic lesbian one) and thought you might know :)

Oh. My. Goodness. These are absolutely gorgeous; and I'm totally excited that you made this! These patches both look gorgeous and I'm very glad you used my design.

I’ve queued two patch posts on @aroworlds for @aggressivelyarospec‘s AggressivelyArospectacular event, and since I ended up with a couple of extra patches outside my original plan, I thought I’d share a photo of these here.

The first patch is the closest I could come to @kittysprites‘s aromantic autistic flag; the second patch is the closest I could come to @aro-punkwave‘s allo-aro flag.

A few weeks ago, I found a pack of embroidery floss and 11-count aida fabric at Daiso. Since both things are expensive and I was running out of aro flag colours, I was excited. However. The fabric (more like woven plastic!) frays differently from standard aida, and the thread sticks to each other and falls apart at the same time, making it difficult to handle. I had to practice to learn how to use both, and I realised that I can’t mix the Daiso threads with my other threads without it looking very obvious, which limited my flag options.

I did have colours that matched the autistic aro and first allo-aro flags enough to be readable. The autistic aro flag is my first attempt, which I think the edging shows, but I am getting better!

As many aro flags have grey and the thread pack doesn’t contain this colour, I’m a bit limited. (Nor can I afford not to use the Daiso materials, because I was running out of greens before I thought I found inexpensive floss.) I think I can make a couple of @aroaesflags‘ allo-aro combo flags, so I’ll try those next!
