Hi, I'm Kittyrinn Aiko, the moderator of this blog, and an old fox from way back rumored to be a nine tail. The blog itself will be a variety of things I wish to share to include short stories about Kitzumi Nova, foxes, fox ponies, and photography from my Deviant account. Kitzumi Nova is a little black and white fox Pegacorn, and a bit on the shy side so I'll be speaking for her most days. And yes, there will be randomness. http://kittyrinnaiko.deviantart.com/

A big part of the reason so many are leaving X behind.
No one wants to give away their intellectual property and anyone who stays on Twitter/X will be saying that they are fine with giving away everything posted on the platform.

We served too.
Another Veteran's day has come and gone. Another day where I end up feeling like furniture.
I don't know what it is but there seems to be some kind of disconnect where people don't seem to comprehend that women served too. No one ever thanks me for my service when I go to a Veteran's day event. If I wear anything that identifies me as a veteran I can look forward to getting either ignored or the third degree. Stolen valor is what they'll be thinking and they'll want to know what my MOS was. LGM-30 something-something, I'd literally have to look it up. It literally changed with proficiency levels. They'll want to know every detail regardless to whether it's any of their business. Hell if I remember what my MOS was anyway. Not like I did the job I trained for anyway. I got parked in an equipment shop. EMT. No, not Emergency Medical Team, Equipment Maintenance Team. Other's got turned into secretaries. Lucky are those who get to do the job they trained for. I hear things are getting better but I never got to have a career because a person needs to be doing their MOS to advance in rank.
So yesterday I went to lunch with my brother. I'm dressed up nice, with an AFA pin holding a couple silk poppies in place on my lapel. He's dressed OK and has a Marine Corps hat on. Suddenly there is an arm in my face. Someone has come over to our table and reached across to shake his hand. I might just as well be furniture. In his eyes I'm not even there. I was in the Air Force. He doesn't care. In his eyes I'm not even there. I don't matter. He doesn't talk to me, doesn't acknowledge me. I wasn't worth his time.
I served too.
I'm a cold war veteran.

For anyone feeling down, the official MLP channel on YouTube is is doing the video equivalent of reading all of Twilight's friendship letters to Celestia. They are presently running three live streams and it looks like just about every episode ever made is up.

Part of me wants to think that it's bot farms shutting down. But on the other hand...
Don't check out. Don't turn your back on the world. Don't turn your back on trump.
We need to be vigilant.
If Trump doesn't get any push back he's going to take that as permission to do whatever he wants.

I want to tell a story to the artists and would-be artists out there.
When I was 19, I made a large oil painting of the nerd I would eventually marry. I poured all my attention and care into this painting. It's the only art I have from back then that still holds up as a work I'm proud of today.
I entered it into a judged show at the local art center. It got an honorable mention. I went to see the show with my beloved model. One of the judges came up to talk to me, and highlighted that all the judges really liked the painting. It would have placed, except, you see, the feet were incorrect. They were too wide and short, and if I just studied a bit more anatomy-
I called over my future wife, and asked her to take off her shoe. Being already very used to humoring me, she did. The judge looked at her very short, very wide little foot. Exactly as I'd lovingly rendered it. I would never edit her appearance in any way.
The judge looked me in the eye, and to his credit, he really looked like he meant it when he said "Oh I'm so sorry."
Anyways the moral of the story is that all of those anatomy books that teach you proportions are either showing you averages, or a very specific idea of an idealized body. Actual bodies are much more varied than that.
So don't forget to draw from observation, and remember that humans aren't mass produced mannequins. Delight in our variation. Because it's supposed to be there.
#When I do art for contests these days I make sure to abide by the formulas - all judges care about are the formulas#when I do art for myself I do whatever I want

I made some necklaces. The pendents and some of the material came from a grab bag, some parts were leftover from previous projects, and a bunch of beads were new.

For anyone wondering what happened, this is what happened. You want to get rural folks riled up, I mean really riled up, have a government agency raid a home and kill innocent animals.
Shortly after Peanut was euthanized the Trump campaign jumped on the story so that they could use it to fire people up. Peanut and Fred the Racoon's tragedy was capitalized on by the Republicans and the Democrats were largely silent on the issue, unable to react to what was quickly becoming a watershed moment.
