I think the reason we still don't have Gohan is because he'll be making a big surprise appearance at some point. Because normally Gohan would be transformed into a baby, but why not show him from the start? I hope he'll make a more interesting appearance than just as a baby, but we'll see. (I still love baby Gohan ofc)

Now that I've slept on it I've decided it's also sadder. The contrast is funny but Piccolo in all aspects was forced to grow up much faster than he should have. Someone please go back and give this man a real childhood

Not sure how I feel about the lore change to namekians. Although in retrospect this makes the self-proclaimed Demon King Piccolo much more interesting. Was there a part of him that knew? He had been separated from Namek for so long he didn't even know what that was, but some instinct told him he was a Demon somehow.

Also this contextualizes the knowledge Namekians had about other cultures, if they were more nomadic before settling on the original Namek they'd have plenty of opportunity to learn about and record other planets' histories and cultures.

If I'm being honest I'm mostly just conflicted because it goes against some of the headcanons I had about namekians so maybe this is just something I need to get used to
