‘Kitsoo’ is really just a play on the word kitsune (a Japanese word for fox, which is also used to refer to them in a mythological context) that I made up trying to create a name. And no, my name is not Kit :)

Unpopular Opinion on Diversity

I want to share another side of an opinion. If you have different opinions on this, it’s fine I respect you regardlsss.

Im black (or African American; I identify with both.) I’m also pansexual. The whole subject on tumblr really bothers me with this racial thing every time it comes up. I know that everyone wants to see diversity in the community. They want to see their or their friends ethnicity/race better represented in other tumblrs. As do I. I want to see more people using the darker side of the skin ramp personally. But we cannot scare our fellow simmers into diversity.

Keep in mind when we make sims we are just creating a character. Some more realistic then others. Take a look at my tumblr and you’ll see exactly what mean. (Saana has red hair and purple eyes and she’s dark skinned. Dion has red eyes) I’m not gonna say it’s just a game because for some people it’s not just a game, it’s a representation of life itself. For me I just wanna create.

I feel like people should be able to play the game how they want without feeling like they are required to reach a certain quota of POC/ LGBTQ+ every so often. I rather see a developed (or semi developed) POC/LGBTQ+ sim in a year from now then a forced POC/LGBTQ+ sim made in 5 minutes to satisfy this hypothetical quota we created within the community. Another thing to keep in mind, when they started simblr, future characters for their stories, style, age, realism or no realism..etc etc

With this conversation I knows there is going to be an implux of POC sims now and that’s fine and all but I think simblr should take it at their own pace.

Last thing, can we please leave simblr characters alone. If it’s not a character already created by EA then the simmer is free to changed their own sim however.

Say goodbye to Adfly!

Have you ever heard of SafeBrowse? It’s probably not as famous as Adfly Skipper but works like a charm. Since I installed it I have never seen those shady ass websites again. Straight to the download page!

I use it along with AdBlock. Hopefully one day we won’t have to risk our computer security to download stuff for a game, but all we can do for now is try to stay safe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
