no because i feel like mike loves will like seriously i feel like the reason he was being awkward and didnt send him letters is because he was scared to and i think that he tried to push will away so his feelings for will could also be pushed away and like since their older and growing up mike probably feels like their friendship isnt the same as it was when they were kids because notice how in s2 when they were younger while el was gone mike was like all over will and he was there for will everytime and in every scene + he also assumed that will liked max and he got jealous so ALSO not to mention mike kept all of wills drawings even when will came back from the upside down also the frog plushie that will had in s2 to remind him of mike ( because troy used to call mike frog face ) is the pillow mike slept on

i just feel like their friendship isnt as strong as it was back then also when they were at the hospital with will mike was actually worried for will and also mike was holding will when he was like asleep or passed out or whatever

I have not lost hope in Byler, but I am upset. “HE STIFLES HIS SOBS, fully resigned to knowing that he’s just ripped off the Band-Aid.” They’re basically saying that Will has lost hope in getting with Mike.
