so my super religious and republican family member finally unfriended me on fb and i was trying to figure out which post really put her over the edge and i think i figured out which one it might be...

Yesterday I was on the phone with my baby sister (6 years old) and told her that I go by a different name now. Here's how it went.

Baby Sis: Hi [deadname]!!

Me: hey, did I tell you I changed my name?

Sis: I like your name, it's pretty!

Me: Well sometimes people change their names so that they feel better on the inside. I go by Kitty now, like a cat!

Sis: Oh that's pretty, I like that name.

Biological Dad: Hey [deadname]

Sis: No Daddy, she's Kitty now!

I DAMN NEAR CRIED THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE. If a 6 year old can automatically get used to someone changing their name, so can you. <333

Someone has been saying that because if this panel here in the latest chapter that Kiri might not be dying his hair anymore. Honestly think that’s probably not the case and it’s just the way the panel is drawn but I really like the idea if it’s true. This is a great way to show Kiri has changed and developed as a character. As sweet and manly as he is up until now we know Kirishima lacks confidence in himself and as a hero. He does and styles his hair this way to remind himself of the type of hero he wants to be (red hair for Crimson Riot, and the styling of two horns like Mina). While it’s a beautiful sentiment a lot has happened since then and I think him not dying his hair would be a pretty neat way of symbolizing he’s grown into himself, becoming more confident as a hero and person and more like himself.
