Severus Snape, a small 16-year-old boy— too underweight and petite for his age, stood in his small bathroom glaring into the mirror as he brushed his teeth. Faster and faster, harder and harder he brushed. Brushing until he felt a metallic taste in his mouth. His eyes were bloodshot, his cheeks sallowish and his gums were bleeding as his mind was wracked with thoughts and memories he wished would just go away. His reflection glared back at him, his own dark lifeless eyes staring into his very soul that had been tormented for all his ‘pitiful’ life.

Oh, it was just another day. Just another day of being harassed and bullied by those ‘perfect little heroes’ known as the Marauders. His tormentors. It was another day he lost himself to the unbearable anger and pain that resided in the back of his dark little mind. Another day of causing disappointment to the one person he cared about, Lily Evans. Just another day of being treated less than a person because of his blood and class status as well as the way he looked.

He continued to glare at himself in the mirror. He hated it. He hated himself. He hated his reflection. He hated his father who mercilessly beat him and his mother on bad days, which was most days. He hated the marauders who tormented and harassed him for no good reason. He hated the teachers and staff who ignored him for not being popular, rich or a pureblood. He hated how he could SEE his poverty, his weakness, his filth. It sickened him.

His reflection was proof of his tainted blood. It was proof he would never be like the ‘heroic’ James Potter whom everyone seemed to love. It was proof he would never have the humor of Sirius Black, whose jokes could make anyone laugh even if they were utterly terrible. It was proof he would never be like Remus Lupin who was a coward but seen as shy and likable guy. It was proof he would never be like Peter Pettigrew who was pathetic in a way that added to the credibility of his tormentors, that made it seem so utterly impossible they could ever do any wrong.

He knew. He knew Lily Evans was taking a liking to them. He could see it in her eyes. Every time she’d glance at Potter or smile at Black’s jokes. He knew he was slowly losing her to them. It was only a matter of time and he knew he could do nothing to stop it.

“Heh.. they’re right... I must be pathetic... I can’t even hold onto one person… the one person that cared for me…”

Blood dripped down from his lips as he spoke, going into the sink’s drain and disappearing. He watched through the mirror as his blood fell to the bottom of the sink. He chuckled, how pathetic did he have to be? The grip he had on his toothbrush tightened, as he went back to brushing. Harder and harder and harder. Trying to get the filth to disappear. The filth no one but himself could see.

He dropped the toothbrush, as the memories of his torment pervaded his mind. He looked down at the sink as he spat out more of his blood, watching it disappear down the dark drain. Oh, how he wished he could follow.

He quickly glanced up at the mirror once more, looking through his dark messy and greasy hair. He clenched his jaw tightly, anger clouding his judgment.

Slamming his fist into the thing, he broke it and watched as it shattered into pieces. His knuckles were now bloody and bruised but he didn’t care. He’s had worse, why would he care about something as trivial as this?

“Pathetic. You’re so *pathetic*. So- so *weak!* It’s utterly humiliating-! No wonder *she* wants to be with them rather than you! You deserve this. They know it, she knows it- Heh. Even *you* know it.”

He slammed his fist into the broken glass again, letting his knuckles get scratched up and bruised even more. It was nothing he couldn’t handle. Not after the beatings and bullying he went through. This was- this was practically child’s play compared to what he’s already been through. He was numb to it.

I’ve seen a lot of people headcanon that Snape would see Lily in the mirror of erised and I think that’s cool and all- however- I have a different headcanon.

I feel like Severus wouldn’t see Lily. He wouldn’t see the staff or the students there either. Not even his parents. He wouldn’t see the death eaters, Voldemort or anyone he knew. Only one person…

Himself. Happy. He would see himself smiling. Not a creepy forced smile that is so fake it’s obvious, but a genuine happy smile. A smile so big and pure plastered over his face. A smile of an innocent young wizard.

He would see himself smiling, happy instead of himself with others he knew. Because more than anything else. He wants to experience happiness. The people around him have only ever caused him pain and suffering. Sadness and heartbreak. Loneliness and eternal solitude. What he would desire more than anything else is to just live a peaceful happy life.

Having those he cares about around him and actually care for him back would be a bonus. Though that’s not what he sees, because he just wants happiness more than anything else. Happiness doesn’t just come from friends and family. You can be alone and happy. That’s why all he would see is himself smiling back at him. With a big, bright innocent smile. He just wants to be happy.

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. First of all, I would like to say that I felt comfortable posting here because the community is very welcoming and we have wonderful artists here!! Forgive any mistakes when drawing (the death note line is beautiful, but so difficult!)

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. Telling about her a little more, Amerique was born in Brazil but moved to France when she was just 7 years old. She specialized in nursing and forensic medicine, getting a position at the FBI that would lead her to work on some future investigations!

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. Until one day, she was called to work in the place of one of her colleagues who had left, leaving only her to work with L. Unexpectedly, things went really well, and even though Étoile didn't know the mystery behind that computer, she knew that some kind of connection was forming which gave her hope for the future.

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. The case was concluded, giving her time to spend Christmas in Paris, as per her tradition every year. But the whole development with L made her question whether that connection was just hers and after all, who was that mysterious man, who with just one voice was able to command so many corporations, was able to talk and connect even with ... she.

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. It was when he turned around that he found a pair of intense black eyes staring into his soul. The man in front of him finally revealed himself as L, not only his work companion but the hero who helped him get out of that mission and the entire ambush.

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. Excites, she gently asked for a hug, receiving a shocked reaction from the detective who, after staring at her for a long time, gave in. He was rigid, but little by little he returned her grip, making Amerique smile and the man blush.

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. She invited him to a cake shop and after the short visit to the bakery, L handed her an envelope, hiring her as his official and private investigator. "Think about it," he said, before getting into a car and disappearing again, leaving the echo of his voice in the beats of her heart, once again.

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. Without thinking twice, she accepted and since then, her closeness to the great detective increased, becoming his best friend and after a few chapters, his lover.

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. Already in Kira's case, Amerique was left at Wammy's mansion at L's request that there was no way he would let the person he loved be on the front lines of something so delicate. Even more so when in Kira's hands, it could be used as a source of information against him and losing étoile was something out of the question and something he would make sure never to let happen.

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. a while, with unhealthy conditions taking over and no choice, she ends up joining the case, but with L doing everything he can (even a bit paranoid) to make something bad wont happen.

-ˏ` 🖇..⃗. i believe that this is the basics of the story, but I'll say more later!! Thank you for your service and best wishes to all of you! And sorry for my english!

I was thinking a lot about “What if Misa did a Halloween party with the group?” And thinking about this made me realize about how L and Tack from “The thief and the cobbler” are alike! So i made a drawing out of it!! 🙇‍♀️

Hello sorry to bother you with this all of sudden ,and this might be coming out of nowhere, and I’m not trying to force you or be pushy but I m trying to get more people into this show with great potential. If your not interested it’s fine but Have you heard of or watched moon girl and devil dinosaur? Season 2 comes out February 2. 

The main character i love she gives me autistic vibes I’m autistic. The show has interesting characters, action ,great music, and animation ,good themes and representation, Anime references, it even has an eyecatch season 2 is going to be more story driven if you find that interesting. 

It be good if you watch the first 2 season 2 episode when they air so the ratings will be higher. And watch the other season 2 episodes when they air.

I think Disney might be trying to sabotage the show with them probably dropping 14 episodes on Disney + on February 3. They did similar with season 1 and the ratings where low ,please watch season 2 episodes when they air on. But more importantly also watch it on Disney + on feb 3 and when they air it on YouTube. Unfortunately they are dropping 14 episodes on Disney + so watch them all in one day but also when they air the first time.

I’m not just saying only cable just also. I’m saying please support this show. Despite that it still won 5 Emmys. Also if it’s no trouble could if it alright with you spread the word about this show to others you know like either online or irl. Time is limited!

I saw a lot of excellent animators and artists making their versions of Wish and I decided to draw my version of Starboy and Asha! I will adopt the name Aster too, fit a lot! I got a lot of inspiration from the incredible artist who is bringing it all to life <3 @annymation
