Open Talks 🖛 _________________
Perching himself up in a cabana - he glanced out over towards the ocean as he lit a cigar. Allowing the soothing sounds of the crashing waves take him to a more relaxed state. There was nothing wrong, in fact, everything seemed to be…perfect. He was just lost in thought about his sister - what she would say to him if she ever found out about his current relationship status. Who would she be as a person now? She would be 20 and would have been released out to the world. The world wouldn’t ever be prepared for the brilliance of Xena Erdös…or so he liked to tell himself. Xena was meant for something greater.
Focusing his attention now on the person that came into his view, his features never changed. “You are more than welcomed to join me if you’d like.” He said offering them a cigarette.
Kinzie stretched herself up, her arms stretching over her head and her fingers flexing as she walked over the wood, her sandals echoing as they slapped against her feet. Bringing her hands down, she crossed her arms over her chest and watched Gabe in silence for a long moment before he broke the silence. She waved her hand in his direction, turning to the ocean to look out onto it. “It’s okay,” she told him, turning her head to glance in his direction again. “I don’t smoke.” She shrugged her shoulders and sighed. “You’re pretty quiet today,” she noted.

Emerson offered Kinzie a soft smile. If there were any two people she could lean on the most, it was Aoife and Kinzie. Her two favorite people. She could feel the need to sleep, even if only for a few minutes. The stress of being constantly on alert made her shoulders ache with tension. “I always enjoy your company,” she murmured, patting the seat beside her. “And I do know and I do appreciate. Always.”
Kinzie moved and sat down next to Emerson with a gentle expression on her face, watching her and gauging what kind of mood she was actually in. She knew that her captain had become quite the actress, knew that she could hide her emotions well. She hoped the other felt that she didn’t need to hide them for her. “What can I do to help?” she asked, reaching out and offering her own hand for Emerson to take, if for a little support.

It seemed as though every bonfire meant something major happened. Emerson had done her best to help keep the island afloat, but she and her siblings were just people. They were human. People who had to grow up too young, kids forced to face violent realities before their brains could fully develop. And even now, they were peppered with questions of how did this happen? and how did six people go unnoticed to the coves? and she was emotionally exhausted.
Maybe even a little physically exhausted.
All she could do was breathe and attempt to keep up her strength. That, and drink a protein shake as the first thing she’d eaten in the better part of twenty-four hours.
“If you’re asking me for something, you’re going to need to repeat yourself. It’s been a really long, busy day.”
“I was only asking if you needed something,” Kinzie told her gently, offering her captain a soft smile as she came closer with her arms crossed over her chest. She knew that the other had been stressed out, and this whole event only made it worse. It was hard for her to watch Emerson without feeling the need to help her, even if she could only offer her a shoulder to cry on or a bottle of alcohol to down instead. “Because I’m here to help, when or if you need it. You know that, right?” she asked, raising an eyebrow at her expectantly.

𝐍𝐈𝐊𝐊𝐈 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐀 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐖 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 Kinzie admitted she does not know who was the DJ. Isn’t she a pirate? In a way or another organized this party? — Whatever, she let out an ‘oh’ from her mouth. ❛ It’s not that, I wonder if I could find the DJ, and maybe he let me play some stuff. ❜ Or it was prohibited area for royals?! — They have a lot of places that can’t go.
“Are you a DJ?” she asked, her eyebrows raising ever so slightly. “You know, on the side. After the whole princess thing,” she said, waving her hand in her direction with a teasing smile on her face. “What were you looking to play?” she asked after a beat, licking her lips softly.

NIKKI STOOD UP, ADJUSTING herself when the familiar voice rang her ears. ❛ Kenzie! Good to see you! ❜ There is excitement in her tone when she went to hug the pirate. Yes, she was a tad drink, and she can be a bit friendlier than sober. Not that she was annoying sober. Then she pulled herself from the hug and looked at her. ❛ I see, but you can wear real clothes, and enjoy it. I mean, I don’t let fashion ruin my good time. I get it, you don’t want to get wet. — Who is the DJ of the island? ❜
Kinzie could only amusingly smirk as the other came up and hugged her, her arms going around her tentatively. She patted the other’s back lightly, pulling away and letting her hands fall to her said. “Touche,” she said, laughing softly under her breath. “Um, I don’t actually know,” she admitted, shaking her head. “Do you not like the music?” she asked, raising an eyebrow at her curiously.

Genevieve took a sip of her drink and glanced around at the pirates and royals who were at the beach party. While the pirate normally preferred mint mojitos, it was warm enough out that she’d chosen a mint julep as her drink for the day instead. Catching the eye of someone nearby, she raised her eyebrows in curiosity. “Are you having a good time?” she asked the other person. Genevieve knew that if everyone was enjoying a day at the beach, they would be too busy to find ways to cause trouble.
Kinzie smiled at Genevieve and nodded her head, her own drink in her hand as she watched the party unfold around the two of them. It seemed like everyone was having a pretty good time, which was good. She always enjoyed these kind of parties, especially when things didn’t go awry. “Of course,” she said. “I always enjoy the Solstice. Summer is my favorite season,” she admitted.

NIKKI COULDN’T BELIEVE WITH HER EYES, and the blonde a tad tipsy of alcohol already. But this isn’t some imagination, there is ACTUALLY, slip n slide; and she couldn’t help her tone went high-pitch level. ❛ Yetzeeeeh! ❜ Clapping her hands, and running over the beeline, and then she walked backward when was her turns, and throws herself with everything, enjoying the slides. Her body and her clothes were wet due to her activity. And she was all messy, but she doesn’t care. She is having her moment on this thing.
Kinzie watched with a smirk on her face, her drink resting on her opposite arm as she crossed hers over her chest. “Having fun?” she asked teasingly, the smirk morphing into a wider smile. “Looks like a blast, but I think my bathing suit would go flying off, and I’m not in the mood to put on a show for everyone here.”

Aoife mood immediately lifted when she looked up and saw the visitor was one of her best friends. “Sorry” she said. “I thought you were someone else.” She shut the folder and put it on her desk. “I’m just sick of people thinking the infirmary is the adult version of a candy store” she said with a shake of her head. “Then if somebody really does get hurt, we won’t have the supplies they might need.”
“I mean, of course you did. You would never use such an attitude with me,” she teased, laughing softly as she moved through the room and came over to lean against Aoife’s desk, crossing her arms over her chest. “Wait, so you don’t have a lollipop for me?” she asked, faking a pout. “I only came here for a lollipop.”

“Have I ever said no to you?” he asked, pressing a quick kiss to her forehead this time. “I can definitely make that happen.” Then he laughed again. “You know, I like the way you think” he said, wrapping one arm around her waist to gently guide her towards the canteen’s exit. “I knew you were more than just a pretty face.”
“Mmm, no, you haven’t,” Kinzie said, smiling wider as he kissed her. “But you should learn to. I am getting awfully spoiled.” She smirked, obviously teasing, laughing along with him as she started toward the doors with him. “Just a pretty face? Please. I am the brain, brawn and beauty in this relationship,” she teased, nudging him with her elbow.

𝐍𝐈𝐊𝐊𝐈 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐌𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 on this island so, she wouldn’t make any effort to let them know who she is, besides every ‘hostage’ of this island is princes and princesses anyway. — She doesn’t know anyone that wasn’t with 'lower’ title in the royalty that had been kidnapped. (She is not counting on the pirates, course). Who knows exists some pirate with royalty title as a spy in somewhere?! — ❛ I guess, if I was a pirate I could never be a navigator, I’m awful at numbers. Is there any title in piracy hierarchy, like… Us as you know 'king, queen, princes…’ and you guys have something like… 'captain… and I hope you know what I meant. ❜
“It’s numbers and map reading,” she said, nodding her head with a light laugh. “Among other things. It’s definitely not for everyone.” Kinzie shrugged her shoulders in a nonchalant manner, happy to move on. It’s not that she didn’t love navigating (she did), but she didn’t have it in her in that moment to explain all of it to her. “Captain, first mate, navigator,” she said, nodding as she spoke each title. “We have Master Gunners, and gunners, and surgeons. Others, as well. There are many different roles on the ships.”

“Well, isn’t this just seven shades of shite.” Ever the lady she was supposed to be, Mairead cursed at herself, hands coming to rest on her hips. Exploration was all fun and games until you ended up completely lost – and the Irish princess was without question lost. She thought she’d been doing an excellent job at keeping track of where she was going, but once she’d gotten too close to the water, she moved as quickly as her legs could carry her away from the cursed ocean.
It was the jungle, that much she could guess and, while she would normally have ventured forward without hesitation, she knew the warnings that were associated with the jungle. Turning on her heel, as if that would present her with a different scene, she looked around before nodding. “– shite.”
Kinzie had been making her way back from the hot springs when she heard a voice; it sounded female, and it sounded frustrated, given the cursing. She pushed her way through the trees of the jungle and found her way to who she could only assume was a princess, as she hadn’t seen a pirate who looked like her ever in her time of piracy.
“While cursing makes one feel better,” she started, coming through the trees and placing her hands on her hips, a smile on her face as a way of greeting. “It does not help one get out of the forest. Are you lost, love?”

Aoife had her face buried in a file folder, glancing to see if it had anything that was still important inside it. She’d chosen that day to do a clean-up of the records in the infirmary, wanting to get rid of anything that was no longer important. As she took some papers that were no longer needed out of the folder, she heard footsteps. Without even glancing up, she said “If you’re bleeding I can give you a band-aid. Otherwise leave me alone.”
“And here I was, coming to give you the warmest hello, and you greet me with... whatever that was,” Kinzie teased, waving her hand as she leaned against the door frame of the entrance to the infirmary, raising a knowing eyebrow as she crossed her arms over her chest and waited for Aoife to look up at her. “What’s got your panties in a twist? Can I help?”

It was one of these moments where she just wanted to dance with herself. ❛ Well, I’m Nikki from Russia. ❜ Her title means nothing, but her name is something right? —- ❛ Never seen you around. ❜
“Nikki,” Kinzie said, nodding her head as she placed her. She remained leaned against the door frame, her arms crossed over her chest as she looked over her with mild interest. “I’m Kinzie. From Scotland, though that’s not as important to me as it is to royalty.” She shrugged her shoulders. “More important that I’m a navigator on the Raging Tsunami.”

“That’s the way to go. I mean, it’s not particularly romantic or anything, but it feels really nice,” Callie submitted. Depending on the severity of the rain, some felt as though they were drowning. “If we’re lucky, we might be able to experience it now.”
Kinzie nodded her head, looking up at the sky and eyeing it with interest. “Do you think it’s going to rain?” she asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked back down at Callie. She hadn’t thought it was, but the sky wasn’t looking too promising in that moment.

Lorne gave a chuckle at her words. “Oh yeah?” he said with raised eyebrows, pretending to play dumb. “What’s that?” he teased, before leaning forward to return her kiss. As he did so, his hands wrapped around her waist to hold her close. Once the kiss ended, he said “Hi. Are you sure you don’t want anything to eat? We could go back to the villa and I’ll make you something special.”
“Well, I guess if you’re offering,”she said, her hands pressed against her chest as she settled down to her feet when their kiss ended. “Want to make me some of that infamous spaghetti I know you can make? I have a feeling I’m going to need to do some carb-loading for tonight. Especially if I’m going to prepare for dessert,” she teased, wiggling her eyebrows.
