I know I've said this before but another HC I have about Kageyama is that he's autistic

Kageyama has difficulty understanding and expressing his feelings, there are many situations where this ends up happening in the anime. The fact that he also "doesn't know how to smile" or makes a strange face when he's thinking can also be interpreted this way.

Kageyama is never mean on purpose, that's a fact. Many of the situations in which he was interpreted as rude and stupid were just because he didn't know how to express himself very well. He didn't know how to measure his words and I didn't understand why his sincerity was considered so "rude".

He tries his best to correct his mistakes with his teammates even if he doesn't really understand why they are "mistakes" or end up repeating them even if he don't want to

I also believe that the death of his grandfather and how he never talked about it may have influenced him not knowing how to express/communicate very well what he feels. I think for a long time he felt out of place, like he didn't fit in or that no one would ever understand him. Not like how his grandfather understood him

Yesterday, after finalizing the name of my new manga, I fell asleep. Kaneki and Touka were in my dreams, for the first time in a long while. In my dreams, they defeated Mado, fought against a mysterious ghoul, and their conversing back and forth was a mess, but it was fun. It almost seemed like they were telling me to go have fun.

The title of my new work will be “Choujin X.” (Superhuman X) I will enjoy working on it at my own pace.

Finally have some time to go through the shots of TG’s initial manuscripts and storyboards (from the preview video for Ishida’s art exhibit). Too much text is missing from the panels, so I’m just going to list my general impressions on what’s available.

Kaneki is a 2nd year uni student here, seems like he’s 100% ghoul here? 

Anteiku is written with katakana instead of the usual hiragana.

The guy with the bionic eye is asking if Kaneki works here (looks like this got reused for Shinohara when he visited Anteiku)

Touka was pointing out the bionic eye guy. Yoshimura seems more laidback here, Kaneki’s saying that he got discovered as a ghoul, and Touka is shocked. (yeah, this Kaneki seems more like oneshot!Kaneki)

Kaneki’s talking about how he’s enjoyed his peaceful days as a university student, hence why he’ll do anything he can to eliminate those who try to destroy it. 8 cases (of human deaths due to ghouls) this month. Training and even doing one-finger pushups lol

There’s also a ghoul group called the Skull Men, their excessive hunting has caused Kaneki to be suspected as a ghoul, and Kaneki decides to do something about them for breaking hunting guidelines and jeopardizing “our ghoul lives”

“It’s time to hunt.” Kaneki going after the Skull Men to teach them a lesson? I think that’s his mask that he’s holding?? There’s also a mention of half-machine investigators, who are the only ones able to fight against ghouls.

Kaneki fighting the skull guys for breaking the rules when it comes to hunting. The bionic eye guy (who’s one of those half-machine investigators most likely) shows up and confronts Kaneki. Kaneki calls him pig bastard lol. (I wonder if this is the origin for Mado)
