Interviewer: State your age.

Flores: Twenty-seven.

Interviewer: State your-

Flores: Puta. I already said everything. My name is Milagros Raquel Herrera Flores.

Interviewer: Miss Flores-

Flores: I am twenty-seven. I met Agent Ravenov when he was providing armas and misíles to my people. I went with him because he showed me the world is bigger than my little country.

Interviewer: Miss Flores.

Flores: That is why I was in Vietnam con los Russians. That is why I wanted to help your team recover Agent Maxis.

Interviewer: What is your military experience?

Flores: I picked up a gun because one was to my head, and another was to my family. I did it for survival. Pero ustedes no entienden eso.

Interviewer: Might I remind you where you are?

Flores: In a cage. Somewhere in the United States de América.

Interviewer: Good. Let’s move on to the issue at hand, shall we? Why did you interfere with Requiem’s strike team?

Flores: They were going to die.

Interviewer: You do understand there are consequences-

Flores: Putos Texas Yee-Haw de mierda, ya déjenme ir!

Interviewer: Do you understand why the American government would be upset that a rogue, trigger-happy little girl with some clear military experience but no authorization or overview crashed a very delicate military operation?

Flores: Those were demonios. Demons from hell. Your team did the same thing I did, shoot everything that was ugly and mean. But when they do it…it was correct.

Interviewer: You weren’t supposed to be there in the first place, Miss Flores. You do realize you accessed incredibly sensitive documents that were on the Omega base?

Flores: I don’t want your blueprint or your American and Russian hate letters. I was looking for my friend. I was looking for Maxis.

Interviewer: Why not let the strike team do it? Why go yourself?

Flores: Did you hear her? On your radio? I heard her. I…I needed to make sure she escaped. I could not let Hell have her.

Interviewer: Are you religious?

Flores: What is religious? Faith? Worship? Love?

Interviewer: I suppose I’m asking for your opinion, Miss Flores.

Flores: Then I am religious. But I don’t follow a god anymore. I found heaven somewhere else.

Interviewer: Care to elaborate?

Flores: No.

(If you read all that, thank you! I’ve been thinking about this OC and how to integrate her in the dark aether story without totally blowing up the story and creating a new one altogether. In my quest to get all the intels in Cold War I came across this one.

So…Richtofen had ordered Samantha to be thrown in the portal, right? Was Peck just having fun?

I fear I am quite unwell.

This is. Pain. Judging from Grey’s message to Ava, I feel like this isn’t gonna go well, but I’m holding out so much hope for the tragic lesbians.

I have hope this is an AI of Samantha and the real Samantha is…out there somewhere. Or she’s controlling it from wherever she is.

I heard that Janus is using AI, that they took voice recordings of Requiem. Richtofen called her Sam, not Samantha, or Maxis, which is what shows up on the trials machine.

And on the trials Machine, I believe it said S.A.M, which just kinda enforces the AI theory for me, but why would Richtofen want an AI of her? I’m not sure.

So quick recap:

This is (presumably) Samantha Maxis.

This is the trials machine on Terminus… and (presumably) also Samantha Maxis?

And I just have so many questions. Did Project Janus make the machine or did it appear like the gobblegum machines? Or did Sam merely hijack the machines once the outbreak started? Will she be able to recognize the members of Requiem and have unique interactions with each of them? Is she having them do trials to try and help them or does she need their help?

And of course, the most important question at least for me:

What is this going to mean for Grey?
