80’S TUESDAY: If You Leave by OMD - What evokes the state of 80’s cinema more than John Hughes films?  While Pretty in Pink was not my favorite of his movies (The Breakfast Club holds that honor), it certainly had one of the best soundtracks.  Nearly every single song on it was new wave, 80’s gold.
If You Leave became one of OMD’s biggest hits and was written specifically for the film.  While OMD had many other hits during the 80’s, this song is the one that everybody growing up in that decade remembers.
