Saw someone mention that Dylan said 5/100 files expire, and now with them showing ms Casey/Gemma I think we can assume that the files are people. I think they might be in charge of severing them in some sort of way, filing away large memories ( linked and stored as main emotions like fear) and when they are finished with the “file” they have a fully severed person. The possible “expiration” also means they are on a time crunch, with the file possibly dying (idk why they would do that).

What to do when you’ve been exiled from the friend group over something you didn’t do, and the only true friend you have (who you might be in love with) is starting to ignore you for their talking stage? They weren’t lying about junior year being a goddamn nightmare. :/
