"We all make some things we can not explain to others. I killed a whole village once, and there you stand in front of me, seeing me as the good guy. Caroline, this won't work on me. The good guy never gets anything, he's the one who gets killed in the end. You should watch some horror movies, it's always that way." He watched her silently for a moment, before he shrugged.
"I am not here to judge over people, and not what Klaus did, what he is doing and what purpose it has - why do you think I don't know much more about everything? Just because he used to have a thing for you doesn't make you trustworthy." he winked, and tried to get her anger back, it was easier to be around her when she was like that. And he knew how to push her.
"He is the bad guy! He killed Jenna, turned Tyler into a hybrid, sacrificed Elena, kept his siblings in boxes for centuries, do I need to continue or are you getting the picture?" Caroline was steaming with anger, Stefan knew all of the terribly awful things that he’d done and he was trying to deny that he was a bad guy. As Stefan looked into her eyes Caroline’s hope suddenly lifted inside her, only to have it crushed by the piercing words pouring out of his mouth. Inside Caroline felt like she was going to cry, but her appearance turned cold. "Klaus only cares about himself Stefan, there are people who traveled across the country to fight for you and you’re choosing the person that would forget all about you if it meant that he would gain something."

Damon: See you there, baby brother.
Damon: You know, i almost miss your brooding self. He was alot less... sassy.
Stefan: A boring mess, who couldn't enjoy anything, full of self guilt and pain - I think it's quite obvious why I don't miss it.

Damon: You're so cute when you pretend to be bad.
Damon: You know I can't do that. Elena wouldn't take 'i tried' as an answer. Just because you're all big and bad now doesn't mean you don't know her.
Stefan: Depends how you do it. TRY and you will fail anyway.
Stefan: Now this is getting boring, I'll have a party to attend. Blood, girls, and bourbon - paradise ;)

Stefan was watching a vampire in the back of the bar, he had just entered the place, and seemed to be one of those who were not following Klaus or his plans. He remembered his face, and it usually meant trouble. His focus was still on the stranger, and her words, and somehow it amused him. She had no idea where she was, surrounded by more monsters than one human could dream of in a lifetime.
“My name is Stefan, Stefan Salvatore.” The vampire in the background had now finally seen him too, and was coming towards him. “Before you allow me to ask for your name, please excuse me for a second.” He straightened his shoulders, and with a fast movement, he reached the vampire, and for the visible eye it seemed as if he was talking with him, a little chat, but in reality, he was slowly pulling him outside. Within seconds, he killed him, a fast grip, and he removed his heart. “No trouble anymore.” he whispered it quietly, cleaning his hand with the dead vampire's shirt, before returned, a smile on his lips as if nothing had happened. “Well – now it's your turn, your name is?”
"Not to stereotype everyone," She gracefully crossed her legs, her own glass balanced in hand atop a peachy pale knee as she swirled a random straw round and round the icy water. Goosebumps rose on her skin, but she didn’t mind them. "But with most killers it can be not too difficult to guess. Killers that follow the traditional code at least. There’s little signs.. How they carry themselves, how they talk.. What they say…?" She spoke easily, gesturing with a hand. "But, and this I just hate to say. It’s impossible to know for sure. No one’s a mind reader."
Soon her glass was empty and she was left only stirring the air around with the straight end of the straw, wondering just how exactly she ended up there, discussing blood, gore and killers with a complete stranger. Her fingers froze as she licked the corner of her lips, prepared to speak, “Mystery’s are nice… But tiring. So what’s your name?”

Damon: Ouch, baby bro. My pride is hurt.
Damon: Fun never got the girl. I of all people should know that. Good think you apparently don't care.
Stefan: Luckily I don't WANT any girl. You can have her. ;)
Stefan: wasn't that deep down all you ever wanted to hear from me?we can pretend you tried everything to get me back, you're the hero and I have my freedom.

Stefan didn't hold back a chuckle. "It's...funny. I mean..you are not the first person who tries to tell me that Klaus is the big bad guy here. The one who did horrible things to me, that I forgot myself, and what is right. Why do you blame him, Caroline - tell me? Because it's easier to see him as the bad one?"
He looked into her eyes, as if he was searching for something. "There's something you should know, Caroline - before you are getting closer into this. If I ever have to choose between Elena and Klaus, or you and Klaus, it will always be Klaus - and you know why? He accepts me for who I am." Slowly, the smirk returned on his lips.
"I don’t know who it is, but it’s not the guy who saved my life when Damon was ready to kill me, or who helped me learn to control myself." Caroline shook her head almost in disbelief. "What about Elena, Stefan." Caroline stopped to look to him. There had to be something that she could say to get him to even think for a second about what he was doing. "You’re here because Klaus brainwashed you and now your acting like his little minion, I bet he’s got you doing all his dirty work for him right?." Caroline argued. "So yeah, I’m gonna be staying until I can get some sense into you and you realize that you’ve become someone your not." Caroline ranted with a strain in her voice. "You’re better than this Stefan." She added softly searching his eyes for any signs.

Damon: You're having fun? Lexi would be sorely disappointed in you. You think if she was alive and she saw you like this, would she give up on you?
Stefan: IF she was alive, notice something?
Stefan: Seems like I'm the fun brother now, I know at least how to enjoy, you just try to do the right thing not realising it isn't.

Stefan: I could show you the true atmosphere of this wonderful city.
Damon: I've seen it before, baby brother. Besides, I'm supposed to be bringing you home. You've got a bunch of girls all mopey and sad because you're gone.
Stefan: I'm sure you can comfort them very well. I don't need a babysitter coming after me. I'm having fun here, what else can you wish for your brother?

"Who is it then, if it isn't me? I'm not a human, you aren't either. Pretending to be one is only boring, and won't get you anything. It's like trying to place a wild animal in a cage and feeding it with grass." he pointed to the glass, and looked at her. "I won't stop with something I enjoy. No one should do that. Have you ever felt that freedom? No, you are such a young vampire. I always appreciated your friendship, but this time I am where I want to be. Stay if you like." he added, his voice a bit lower. "This city is wonderful - in its own way." he teased and watched her - was she here with the others to find him or was there also something else?
Caroline remained silent as Stefan turned away from her, until she saw what he was about to do. “Stefan! Stop it!” She protested in a whispered yell. She looked around the bar to make sure that no one was seeing what was happening. The last thing she wanted to do was cause a scene, Caroline had no idea how far Stefan was willing to go anymore. Caroline looked at the poor girl who had no real idea of what was happening to her. All of it was so wrong, this was not Stefan. It wasn’t the same person that taught her self control and how to hunt. Caroline couldn’t hide the anger on her face as she watched helplessly. The dark veins under her eyes began to grow as blood dripped from the wrist and into the glass. She looked away for a moment before regaining her composure. “This isn’t you Stefan.” Caroline shook her head looking to Stefan with almost pleading eyes.

"Rebekah, Rebekah..." Shaking his head, he followed her towards the bar. "What happened to you, to the strong woman, that did whatever she wanted and enjoyed every moment? You are talking nonstop about your brother, and how evil he is - if you despise him that much, you shouldn't waste your time with this." he sat down, and straightened his shoulders.
"I will tell you a secret, one that seems to be important to answer all your questions with one sentence. I am here because I want to. Free Will. Nothing more, nothing less. I know that Klaus often has to make people follow him, do what he wants - but the secret is - he doesn't have to push me." he winked, knowing she didn't expect this. She seemed to hate her brother, and tried to find something, maybe something that made him the victim and Klaus the bad one.
»You’re delusional, Stefan. What happened to you? You ought to a free spirited killer, now you’re just one of his minions.« Rebekah moved past him without looking at him a second time. Walking straight to the bar she took the best scotch she could find and poured it into an empty glass.
»I thought you might want to take a sip from my newly ‘bough” scotch, but I guess I’ll have to ask Nik if he’s okay with you getting drunk.« She glared at him in disgust and even though she was still madly in love with him Rebekah couldn’t trust him just yet. »What did he promised you? Freedom? You should know better.«

"You're not having the right drink, Caroline, that's not what I would recommend." he replied, not showing any surprise. Since his brother had messaged him earlier, he had expected that he wouldn't be alone here, but that he would meet her here, wasn't planned. Nevertheless, he had something in mind.
Stefan turned around towards one of the humans, a cute black haired girl that was sitting here all alone. "You don't mind, do you?" he whispered to her, his voice dark, somehow seductively. He compelled her to forget, to enjoy. With one hand, he moved Caroline's glass away, with the other hand he took the girls hand and leaned forward, biting her wrist just the right way that some blood was dropping into the glass. As the liquid was slowly filling the glass, he carefully placed it back in front of Caroline. "Enjoy." This time, his green eyes were full of teasing, as he looked at her.
Caroline listened in on the chatter coming from the people around her as she sipped her drink. A familiar voice suddenly caught her attention as she listened in. Caroline knew that voice from a few seats down, she just didn’t expect to be hearing it. Caroline barely turned her head to the side as she peered towards the voice. It was him all right. She didn’t think that she was going to have to face him so soon, She didn’t have any plan for this, she was unprepared and about to jump in head first. Caroline turned her head sharply when he asked her why she was there. The shock of seeing him was still evident on her face as she struggled to think of something to say to him. “I was thirsty.” Caroline said obviously dodging his question. Stefan was one of her best friends, but that didn’t mean he was going to just go back to normal Stefan just because she wanted him to.

Titling his head to the side, he listened to her, and there was some truth in her words, he hadn't probably expected right here, with a stranger. Slowly, he had to grin, this time it wasn't a dangerous one, as he often wore when he was trying to follow a future victim. He was actually amused, and with a nod, he ordered a new drink. At least, Stefan needed more of that.
"We all have our sins. A few remember them, others... well. Maybe it's better not to remember everything - I for myself enjoy being able to remember." he lifted the new glass in her direction, before he emptied it with a long sip. The burning liquid made him sigh. "This city can be dangerous, you never know if you aren't sitting next to a killer."
“Maybe because.. It’s the easiest way to be remembered. No one can tell you about any dull named street; Unless something historic has happened there, horror names, maybe bourbon street isn’t quite that, horror names are a good way to be remembered.” Lydia spoke unaffected, her sweet voice certain as she was reciting a fact. Sure this was something she hadn’t gained from the pages of a book but since it was her own expert opinion, she was sure of it.
"Well maybe I exaggerated just a little…" She swiveled in her seat to look at him fully. "It reminds me of a never ending fraternity party and while I am all for having fun, i do not want to wake up with no idea where I am." She snorted with a effortless roll of her hues. "I’ve done that one too many times."
