"I'm not doing anything. You're so quick to jump on me, I'd swear you have an obsession."

Do I look blue to you?

Yeah, Eggman figured that'd be hopeless. It was worth a try, wasn't it?
The man grumbled, deciding not to answer Sonic's question, and instead crossing his arms in front of his face in a futile attempt to protect himself from whatever the white hedgehog might have planned. This of course led him to being unable to maneuver out of the way as Sonic's feet met his body, sending him back against a wall -- not too hard that it would end up breaking a bone, but enough to stun him. His vision spun and he let out a groan of pain; yeah, he wasn't built for hand-to-hand, and given that Sonic was built for running, his feet were harder hitters.
He knew exactly what Snowy was planning to do, but he had no way of stopping it. Unfortunately, he'd left his computers up in a compromised state, so it would be easy for him to hack into them. If he did do that, he also had strings of two codes available, with the upper most being labeled "chip", and the second having no name, mostly due to the hastiness that came with the eagerness of launching this plan. Eggman was going to security lock that computer as soon as this was done, but for now he was trying to focus his vision back in front of him.

How's the nose? Eggman stared down at the white hedgehog sourly. Why, it was positively sore, and quite frankly he believed that was unwarranted, but it was best not to give out any sign of weakness, wasn't it? Instead, he ran his fingers along a button, grin starting to grow on his face. "I don't think we'll be talking at all, considering I'm about to silence you forever."
Then he pressed it, rubbing his hands together in glee, and...
...nothing happened.

"Oh, blast it!"
Apparently, he hadn't fully fixed the damn thing after all! He didn't get how it wasn't working now, but apparently he must've made a hasty mistake -- and unfortunately for him, that was going to be his undoing. Yeah, a certain mad scientist wasn't happy anymore. In fact, he gritted his teeth and ground them; whoever tampered with that capsule was really going to get it.
... This left him defenseless. Shoot.

"How about we stop it here and say this was all an accident, eh, buddy?"
Yeah, he was good as dead.

Because Eggman, no matter how much he boasted to the contrary, wasn't the smartest tool in the shed. Namely: he didn't learn from his mistakes except once in a blue moon.
BOOM! The heat seeking missile hit Delta dead on, blowing bits and pieces of it off into various locations. And yeah, Eggman was sweating. He didn't even have to look to know what had happened to his precious robot, though right now he wasn't worrying about his creation itself.
He swore he got the last wire in...
He turned around on the white hedgehog, starting to smirk. If this worked, then everything would be fine and dandy.
"Think you're so tough because you took out one of my robots, do you?"

Hurry, hurry, hurry!
That's what Eggman thought anyway. Every time he thought he was done, he found the mechanism wasn't working the way it was supposed to. This was more tedious a task than he thought it would be. How did he manage to construct this blasted contraption in the first place?
In the meanwhile, Delta, while being a well equipped robot, wasn't a very smart one. It could've easily attacked while Snowy was at the wall, but instead it watched with dull red eyes before the white hedgehog came back at it with a spin dash. Mistakenly thinking that Sonic was aiming for its core, it lengthened its body upward in order for the hedgehog to miss, only to be caught by surprise as its leg was sheared off instead. It toppled to the side, then as a sort of robot knee-jerk reaction, shot a missile at the hedgehog as he popped out from the other side, heat seeking.
A certain madman could hear the collapse of his machine and he cursed inwardly. He didn't have much time left.

More like making sure a certain hedgehog was sufficiently distracted while he worked again on the wires that were sabotaged for that capsule. If he managed to fix it, he could trap Sonic within it and thus net him an easy victory, but the way it was wrecked was complicated and in several places, so it would take him some time. Delta needed to distract Sonic long enough so that Eggman rewired it.
Unfortunately, that didn't look like that was about to happen as, while Delta managed to skate out of the way of Sonic's spin dash for the most part, part of its arm was sheared off; it was clear that if it took a direct hit, it wouldn't stand a chance. The robot turned and tried to toss a bomb at Sonic that had a radius wide enough that, hopefully, the white hedgehog wouldn't be able to run away from.

"Lame expressions? Why--"
Eggman never got to finish his question. The white hedgehog ran toward him with his fist cocked back, ready to hit him. With how fast that Sonic was, the Doctor never saw any of it coming, which meant that smack landed solidly. The madman staggered back, his hand groping for the keyboard behind him as he searched for some bit of technology that could help him; he wasn't that great when it came to hand-to-hand, after all, so he had to summon his defenses to take care of it. The problem was that he hadn't built a large defense in a while aside from an addition to his E100 series, which meant that this would be a curb-stomp battle at best. Hopefully he'd be able to distract the hedgehog long enough in order to fix his capsule...
"Deeelta! Come here!"
Or at least, Delta's replacement. A new robot stepped in with an arsenal that would make Omega jealous, and it wasted no time in firing rockets at the space Sonic currently occupied.

Already this one's puns were getting old. Eggman leaned back and sighed in exasperation, regretting having made that door joke.

"You can't begin to call yourself an adult. You're a rodent." Technically, that was inaccurate and Eggman knew it, but it wasn't as if Sonic was going to know any better. He highly doubted he had that sort of education in his youth, not to mention it wasn't easy to distinguish that in the first place. He waved a hand dismissively; this one may've caught him by surprise, but that didn't mean he considered him a threat. And who knew? Maybe he could get him off his tail. "In any case, I don't know what you're talking about, so make like a tree and leave."

At the moment, Eggman was distracted with the fact that Shadow and Sonic had managed to escape, which meant that his victim of choice was going to live and, therefore, made his carefully thought out plan moot -- not to mention he noticed a wire or two severed here and there which meant that his equipment wasn't functioning properly. Whoever did it knew that the genius behind it was that he was able to contain even Sonic's Super form, and that meant, grumble grumble, he was going to have to waste time getting it fixed again. Right now, who did it wasn't important, but the instant he did find that out, they would be the first experiencing what it meant to be on the wrong side of Eggman's wrath.
As a result of this, though, the self-proclaimed genius didn't notice a certain duplicate he'd only documented sparingly as a low threat bust into his hideout, instead trying to fix the wires. Because of that, he practically leaped when his alarms started blaring, and he had to scramble to shout into a microphone reserved for ordering his robots around:

"Band down the hatches! Keep out any intruders aside from that hedgehog! He's not going to get away with this!"
His robots immediately sprang into action, while the man himself turned -- to be met shortly with his door flying off its hinges and the face of the white hedgehog he'd been warning his robots about staring furiously at him. Quite a bit of work had been put into that door. Eggman was offended, though probably the worst part of this was that Snowy used the door in the first place.
Damn, now I can't make a, 'Wouldn't the door have been easier?' joke.
He tried to regain his dignity in this major slight by changing up the wording a little; "Wouldn't it have been easier to use the keypad?" There. Good. That should do it.
After that, he leaned back, rolling his eyes behind his glasses. "Isn't it a bit rude to barge in on someone like this? Especially about something you're not sure he's even involved in? Sorry, hedgehog, you're not getting your answers here. Now go burn in sunlight elsewhere."
This speech was a cover up for the fact that Eggman had no plan of action whatsoever for dealing with this surprise guest. He wasn't expecting his original plan to fail.
Shake Down
It had been a while since he’d done this, but he was actually looking forward to it. Sonic’s own Eggman had been inactive for a long time. Busting through a Doctor’s base would be a nice change of pace. He didn’t hesitate to plow right through the first door with a homing attack, and then immediately straightened up to face whatever may lay beyond. The best part was this alternate of his nemesis couldn’t possibly see this coming, right? They hadn’t even met before.
Oh, but how he was going to teach this Doctor a lesson. White ears perked up as they caught the sound of incoming machines, before Snowy’s eyes made out their shapes, and he ran forward. Low quality vision didn’t stop him from landing the hits on his targets, and he ran on, smashing his way through the rest of the base. Chaos, it felt good to bash some robo heads again! Especially since the normally placid hedgehog was fueled by the motivation to save a friend, and get a little ‘eye for an eye’ along the way. Yes, he very purposefully made an extra big mess of things. No robot that crossed his path was spared, and security cameras received equal treatment.
In his haste Snowy wound up with a few nicks and bruises, but it wasn’t anything he hated gotten before, and it only added fire to the flames. Finally, after nearly demolishing practically every hall he came across, the furious hedgehog blasted through the door that exposed where Dr. Eggman lurked.

"Eggman!" he barked, raising his fists as he gave the Doctor a glare that was specially reserved for people like him. "What in the name of Gaia did you do to Shadow?!”

"Oh..."
Eggman smirked. Look at the blue hedgehog, acting all tough when he couldn't move anywhere. Yes, it was about time he taught that little rat a lesson, and it wasn't a lesson he was soon to forget. This ship was specifically designed for one thing: a playground for him to restrict Sonic's limbs. He just needed to knock that pesky hedgehog out and equip him with a certain new piece of equipment that he prided himself in inventing this time around, something he was sure wouldn't have a counterattack for it beyond the one that he knew.
"I will."
Press a button, fill the chamber with gases. There was no stopping Eggman now; he was going to make sure that this made a lasting impression. One time that he was sure he fully thought through his plan, and he was going to make it count. No way his pathetic little friends were going to find him in here, either.
This was perfect.
@kingofeggmanland
-Oh Eggman, leaving the door to where you are open and unguarded? Sonic’s smirk only grew wider as he brought himself to his feet, clenching his fists at his side. This truly was too easy. He practically just walked in here, and the mad doctor seemed to be pretty mad about him coming in and trashing the place. Good. Now Sonic would have no problems in taking back what he came for, well he thought that, until that frown slipped up into a grin.-
… What—
-Sirens blared, practically deafening the blue hedgehog, who quickly flattened his ears to his head to protect them. Darn, he needed to get outta here, fast!! And he picked up his feet, only to be far too slow, that button had already been pressed, and those machines worked faster than he could ever imagine, trapping Sonic in a rather familiar cylinder, with those same metal panels with the power that once forced him from his super form.

He dashed to one side of the container quickly, going to bash his way out, only for that energy field to wrap around him once again and yank him back to the center, clasping one, two, three, four, five and many more tight ropes of energy around him. But of course, he kept squirming, trying so desperately to break free. Sonic the hedgehog didn’t go down without a fight after all.-
Nngh…
-If Sonic wasn’t being constrained by powerful ropes of energy in this prison, he would have noted the shape of that silhouette, but when he turned his head to register what Eggman was talking to, all he saw was a black blur. He wriggled and wriggled, trying to yank his arms free of the bond, but not succeeding. This was a machine that had constrained him in his super form after all, with ease too. Sonic could harness the power of the emerald he had on him, in fact, he even tried that, but it was all to no avail.
And as Eggman approached him, he gritted his teeth, growling through his small fangs at him.
‘You fell right into my hands, rodent.’
It was a trap… Why didn’t that cross his mind earlier? But that also meant that Eggman did have Shadow here somewhere. He was the bait to lure Sonic here, and he’d just followed it in a fit of rage. Well… It wasn’t the first time this had happened, right? That wasn’t a comforting thought. Blaze was going to murder him. That was if he made it out of this trap alive, after all, the last time this had happened, Eggman tried to blow him up in Space.
‘Any last words?’-

Yeah… Ya won’t get away with this, y’ mad man!

Of course, there Sonic went, busting down another one of his windows. Eggman scoffed. The blue hedgehog had to be absolutely showy, didn't he? The door'd been open; there was no requirement for him to take it down and he simply could've walked in. How did that not injure him whenever he did that? Surely the sharp edges would cut into his skin just a little bit -- not that Eggman fussed over such details. If it hurt him, it did, and that would be a nice addition to this. If it didn't, it didn't. He was in for a world of hurt anyway.
The room that Sonic entered was filled with little computers, and at the main desk sat Eggman himself. He swiveled in his chair, a falsified look of displeasure crossing his face at the discovery of the hedgehog entering the room, positively cross. Little did Sonic know right now that he was right where Eggman wanted him, and it was only a split second before the frown turned into a wide grin and he pressed onto a button right next to him. Instantly, the alarm blared, and the door that had been wide open suddenly shut on itself, wires patching the space in the wall that Sonic had broken through, and a tube, very similar to the one he'd used to trap Sonic during the werehog spiel, clasped over the area that Sonic was standing in, leaving him effectively unable to move anywhere.

"Oh? If I'm the one under arrest, why are you the one about to be shipped off to a prison?"
Caught you.
He quickly reached over to press another button, and the roaring of jets reached the ears of them both, propelling the ship that he'd managed to get Sonic trapped on top of. The ship itself was absolutely gigantic, and the top, where they stood now, was impossible for them to jump down from at this height. Sonic was trapped unless he wanted to get himself hurt from a long rumble and tumble. Nothing was going to rescue him here.
A suspiciously shaped silhouette appeared at the door, and Eggman waved to it. "Go prepare the courses for our...guest. We'll be here a while." It bowed to him, and disappeared through the door, which left Sonic and Eggman alone all again as the man got up from his seat to walk leisurely around the containment Sonic was trapped in. "You fell right into my hands, rodent. You've lost your touch. Tsk tsk." He waved his index finger. "And now, you will be facing all of the vengeance I wanted to enact on you for making everything miserable for me.
"Any last words?"
@kingofeggmanland
Your designs are always terrible, buddy.

-Balling up his fist, he slapped into his other open palm, that dangerous smirk coming back to expressions and tugging at one corner of his lips.
Nope, Sonic fell for it. Hook, line, and sinker. It was possibly Sonic’s ego and the fact that he had beaten this idiot so many times now that when it came to destroying his robots, and his stupid predictable design flaws and of course, leaving doors open, Sonic couldn’t help but believe that yes, Eggman would be dumb enough to leave an important door open.
The thought of Shadow having to go through all this should have at least grazed over Sonic’s mind, but not at all. The blue hedgehog was far too focused on saving him. Well, blowing up this joint and saving him.
The control room door being left open? Awww… But Sonic didn’t wanna just walk on in there. He wanted to blow this place up, show Eggman he meant business right now and no one messed with the people he held dear and got away with it!
So that open door…? Nah. Sonic decided he’d be going through the wall instead.
As he did when bursting through the walls of the all-too-obvious-secret base. Sonic jumped up and curled himself into a ball, shooting himself at top speed right through the wall by that open door and right into the main control room. Landing on one knee and one hand amongst the rubble as he opened his eyes and grinned.-

You’re under arrest for kidnappin’, Doc. The charge is as follows; a butt kickin’ from greatest hedgehog around!!
