honestly the first point gets to me so much 😭😭 I keep telling myself I'm not good enough yet but no matter how much I improve will I ever feel good enough? the answer is no! I will be a self critical little bastard til the day I die, might as well make some cash money while I'm at it

I think one of the traps I fell into when I first started taking commissions as an artist is that I knew I was still learning, so it felt disingenuous to take money for my work. This is silly for two reasons:

Art has an infinite skill ceiling; you will never stop learning and improving

If my manager at my day job told me they weren't paying me for the time I spent training I would kill them
