mini interest-activity check!

hello friends! we will keep this short and sweet, but we are going to be doing an interest check rather than a full blown activity check for this month. with it being our first couple weeks open, we understand that there are people who join a site and find that the site might not be for them, and that's totally okay! for that reason, we will be doing an interest check, starting now until friday, november 18th at midnight cst which will be the end of our third week!

in order to remain safe, all you must do is reply with a link to a current thread or communication thread. by current thread, we mean it must have been a post within the past three days (the 11th) or anytime after that. pretty easy, right? we wanted to make it pretty lax since the thanksgiving holiday and everything is coming up. and to make things easier, why not do them with our site eventsand get some points while you're at it!? you must reply with every individual character. people who are on an absence prior to when this announcement is posted are considered safe automatically. please reply with the code at the bottom of this post.

we would also like to announce that to help us out around the board, we have promoted our dear friend lilah as a general mod who will be helping with maintenance as well as advertising, so everyone give lilah a round of applause and a warm welcome! if you have any questions, don't hesitate to pm us!

two weeks housekeeping + site events and challenge

hhi everyone! so we are a little over one week into the mess of things and we wanted to give you all some updates. i'm a huge numbers person, so i love statistics and here are some cool ones! we currently have 190 accounts registered and 132 accepted characters. we also have a total of over 6500 posts on the forum!!! this is really amazing for being only two weeks old, and we are just flabbergasted at the exciting things happening.

just a couple house keeping rules: please remember that you must fill out the face claim, occupation claim, and the member directory upon acceptance! it's really important that you fill out all the sign ups, and we ask that you go through and double check that you have done all three!!! furthermore, if you have taken a canon character, you need to claim them upon acceptance!!! also!!!!! as a reminder, we have a 5 day activity rule, and while we have been a little lenient because of the opening of the site and everything, we will be looking a little closer from now on.

we would also like to lead your attention over to our news broadcasts forum. this is going to be a way that we do site events and plot updates. it's serving as an online news forum where you can reply in character to the ongoings with the site. we would lovelovelove for everyone to get involved and have their characters participating. as you can see, we have our first news broadcast, and our next murder victim! fun hint: it is connected to a canon family that hasn't received any love yet, so that could lead to some inspiration! read the broadcast thread for all the juicy details and be sure to have your character reply!

it's also time for our first batch of SITE EVENTS!!! we are going to be mixing acompetition with them too, so buckle up and get ready. as you can see, we've added six new forums in the site events area, all relating to events in november. the first forum is a tracking area for people to track points that they can earn by participating! we have an area for thanksgiving/holiday related comm threads, macy's day parade, black friday shopping, an nypd charity ball, and the fall forests weekend!. each forum has an "about" thread, so read up on those and get started!

we know this is a lot of information that we are throwing at you, so we would love it if everyone could reply with like an emoji or their favorite gif to make sure that you all read it. and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask us either through pm to our staff accounts or replying here!

quick question(hopefully) is the wanted friends portion part of tinder app like the 'platonic' section in typical shipper apps? just curious if i should write a description or if it's more state what you need briefly etc (same for romance + other). i know there is like suggested friends/enemies/romance i just wanted to be bothersome and ask!

hey love! rather than write an actual description, we’re aiming for some quick ‘buzzwords’, so simple things like ‘one complicated love interest’ ‘one friend with benefits turned lover’ ‘one ex on good terms’ which you then potentially cross out once you’ve ~found that type of relationship for your character! and you are absolutely not bothersome by asking, we’re happy to answer any questions

how long will you have to complete the application?

hey! face reservations last two days and you get one extension for those (which is also 2 days), so that means you get about four days in total of holding the face and we feel that should be more than enough time to finish your application as well (:

Question loves, can a character have been friends with one of the victims for the sake of a potential friend group want ad?

hey love! that's totally fine by us, though we do want to avoid having too many people say they were close with the murder victims, so we're going to be keeping an eye on this kind of stuff once the site opens. but for now, absolutely, a character can definitely have been friends with one of the murder victims, so feel free to use that for your friend group want ad!
