SOPHIE MATISSE

Following in the foot steps of her great-grandfather, Sophie Matisse is an international contemporary artist who gained notoriety for her series Be back in 5 Minutes, in which she recreated famous paintings from great artists’ works such as Leonardo da Vinci, Pablo Picasso, Gustave Courbet, and Alain Jacquet, while omitting the figures. In an artistic reversal of roles, Kilian uses Sophie’s art to reinterpret his new scented collection from preexisting, top-selling scents that have been reformulated.
