Okay I am going to post the next part of Watson's Sketchbook: THE FINAL PROBLEM tomorrow or the next day. It's a big one, and I wanted to do a content warning for folks who appreciate those (I will include this and use tags on the post as well). As the content warning necessarily contains spoilers, it's under the cut:
The next update deals with suicide. In my reading, it's an unspoken but vital part of The Final Problem, and impossible to tell the story of Reichenbach without exploring the suicidality of both Holmes and Moriarty in that moment. My adaption will be pretty direct, and I never want to spring that topic on folks without advance warning. If you need more specifics, feel free to shoot me a DM. Thank you for reading this arc and take care of yourselves!
#Oh my god i love the suicidiality of final problem and one of the things i loved the very early parts of ur final problem was that#holmes felt so TIRED. Im so glad we’re addressing this#holmes

I finally got a chance to play this game today!! I should probably be talking about it in the notes not as a post but I’m doing it this way because I jotted down my feelings while I played and I wanted to share them!
-Its not often the protagonist is my favorite character, but I do think my favorite thing in this game so far was friend program. I like the very subtle way FP is characterized. Sometimes the game has false options, and while i still go ‘aw’ when I pick them and it doesnt work, it still feels valuable here because it feels like we’re not doing it because FP doesnt want to rather than because the game doesnt want to.
-I wrote the above when I was still playing, before I got to the drill scene, but I feel it even more strongly now. I’m glad we got a moment where FP got to directly express whats been hinted at the whole time. I feel like I got to understand FP a lot better.
-I was really excited whenever Exe showed up!! I always liked reading your comics with her
-And waterbottle <3 I have a feeling theyre going to become a fav of mine too
-AHAHAHAH REALLY LOVED THE EXCHANGE “compliments are not being overprotective, right?” “No, theyre just annoying” “Being annoying is okay!!” “Unfortunately, yes.”
-SPEAKING OF WHICH I ACTUALLY GASPED IN DELIGHT WHEN [spoilers?] CHOSE TO JOIN US. I dont know if FP likes them as much as I do, but to me talking to them feels like what wrench felt like to keys
-“Remember all the times we almost ate you!” Joyfully <3
-I noticed one, possibly two misstypes. In the content warnings the second group of warnings says “do you know” instead if “do you need”. In Key’s conversation, one of your dialogue options is “what did you wanted” instead of “what did you want”.
Overall I really enjoyed playing the demo and im excited for when the full game comes out!!
Friendship Test’s demo is out!
Follow a little robot built to be an expert on friendship as they travel an abandoned laboratory and help other robots (and experiments) with their friendship troubles as they look for their own mysterious objective.
Friendship Test is a narrative-focused RPG maker game made quite literally for me to test out how to make videogames, but developed into a bigger story that I really wanted to tell. It’s a game very inspired by games that I love, like Undertale. It’s obviously not as good as that game, but you can tell it’s made by someone that really likes that game.
The demo is only a small part of a bigger story that focuses a lot on aspec themes, from aromanticism to lovelessness, as well as neurodivergency. These topics are explored later in the game, the demo sets up the universe, characters and overall story more than the themes, although there are hints. You do not need to be an expert on aspec topics to play this game though, I hope it’s fun either way.
I have been working on this game since April 2024, a lot of progress has been made but there is still a lot to be done too. However, I wanted to at least release the first two hours of the game for now! If the development goes well, the full game release could happen later this year as well.
FT was fully tested to be playable on Windows, files for other platforms are available but not tested. Check the itch.io page for visual and content warnings.
Thanks for reading and play the demo today!

Some people say that there are no stupid questions, which is blatantly false. Of course there are stupid questions, and if you have one, you had better ask it, before you go and do make a stupider mistake. Stupid questions are more important than intelligent ones. I’m willing to bet more people die because of stupid mistakes than because of intelligent ones.

Something else thats nice about that manga is one of the protagonists, Kasuga, doesn't facially emote very much. She is neither pushed to nor even expected to (In fact its not commented on in the manga at all)
