We started having suspicions after our manager stood up for us when a client became aggressive. The middle-aged customer just became white as a sheet, as if he had seen a ghost, and stumbled out of the hotel without a word, faceplanting in the street in the process. The next day, my manager came to me and handed me the rota, saying: "Why are you working late and early shifts back to back?". I stared at him dumbstruck. It was then I knew our suspicions were true. Our manager was the one to make the rota.

I just shrugged, and he walked off muttering something about "totally unefficient, how does this place expect its workers to be optimally ready for a day of torturing customers?"

I never had another early shift the day after being on a late.

It's been over a month since your manager was possessed by a demon. Yet, instead of fetching the nearest priest or throwing a bucket of holy water at them, you and your coworkers have just rolled with it, as the demon is WAY more bearable to work under.
