Bebi,

                Greetings from my keyboard to your screen then to your heart! Days from now, you’ll be turning 21, and we’re turning 5 months! As I write this poem, I am sitting at the rooftop, thinking of something special because I really do not know what to say, what to give, and what “pakulo” I can offer to you. But here I am, crafting a cringey narrative for the nth time, I guess it is really a challenge for me to be creative in expressing myself. You are indeed busy right now and so am I, because today is your first duty as an intern and I still contemplate of something meaningful.

                But first, HAPPY BIRTHDAY my LEO GUY!

I don’t know if I am going to give you this on your birthday or on our 5th! Nonetheless, I hope you appreciate it.

ROOM

ROOM

    Jack and his mother Joy are living in a small area called room. Jack is a jolly 5year old kid, because everytime he wake up, he always greets what he sees; lamp, plants, and others. Even though they are not living in a spacious room, they are still happy living together, we can see the love they give with one another. Jack always dreams for a birthday cake or a present. Until one time, when he woke up he saw a present, a toy car, immediately opened it and played with it. Every night Joy had to make love with hid partner, while Jack is inside the closet, wondering for what is happening. Because they are just living inside a room, Joy saw a leaf and shown it to Jack, but jack said that it was not a leaf because leaf is green. Joy has been inside the room for 7 years because he was locked by Old Nick and Old Nick only knows the secret code. Then one night, out of curiosity, Old Nick heard a sound inside the closet, where Jack is sleeping. Then Old Nick cut off their heat and power. Because Joy wants to reach out to the authorities, Joy faked Jack’s fever and they will tell Old Nick that Jack had a fever because there was no power and the lamp didn’t put on.  But it didn’t worked. So Joy decided Jack to play dead. Joy covered Jack with a blanket and started practicing for their escaping plan. Then Jack and Joy’s planned came successful. Jack escaped and being interviewed by the Police. Then the Police arrested Old Nick. They went to the Room and looked for Joy. At the hospital, Joy sees her parents. Jack started seeing the outside world. When they reached their house, they are mocked by a number of reporters and the crowd are waiting for them. Jack seems so shy that made him not to answer the questions of his grandmother. They started introducing the real world to him his toys, foods and everything. But introducing the real world to Jack was a problem between Jo and her mom, they are bursting into anger that made Jack cover his ears. after the interview, Joy had her suicidal attempt and Jack saw it.  Then days have passed, Jack decided to live a happy life. Jack and Joy went back to the room and bid their goodbyes.

1. What life lessons can be learned from the story?

  -  Most probably be the love for your child. That amidst the struggles in life, the only thing that we cannot remove in life is love.

2. What part told by the story is the most powerful? Why?

- for me, the scene where Jack saw the outside world. Because he learns how to discover things and discovering is learning.

3. Who was your favorite character in the story?

- Jack. he is a cute boy and accepts what comes into their lives.

4. Did anything that happened in the story remind you of something that happened in your life or others?

- Yes. The love of mother to a child. the possess the real courage just to raise us all to be well mannered and helping us in knowing new things.

5. If you had  chance to ask a character in this movie, what would it be?

- Joy, what is the most painful thing happened inside the room?

Saroo is a kid born in India. One day, Saroo and his brother are getting charcoals on the train. But they rode on a wrong train and took them miles away from their homeland until they reached Khandwa, India. They got separated with their family. Saroo slept on a street, but when he woke up, he noticed that his brother didn’t came back. He looked for his older brother inside the train, he looked for him all around and even shouted his name, but no one appeared. Saroo slept with other streetchildren until these streetchildren got kidnapped  but only Saroo survived. Despite all the challenges he experienced, he was adopted by an Australian Citizen. Then they rode on a plane, which seems like I is Saroo’s first time. Because Saroo was born in a poor family, he didn’t know may things especially technologies. Then they started introducing different things to him; television. One year later, they taught him on how to drive a sailboat, they play ball games and seems so happy in the seashore. But the Australian couple adopted another Indian child, but unlike Saroo, this boy is different. 20 years later, Saroo is now a grown up man and taking up Hotel Management. The while they are hanging out with his friends, he saw a familiar food that made him missed his brother so much. Saroo keeps on remembering his life in India, especially his moments together with his mother. Then one time, he discovered the Google Earth and started looking for Kolkata, India and started tracing his roots. He is planning to go back to Kolkata, India. Then Saroo decided to go back to Kolkata, India.  He found his mother and when they saw each other they started to cry, hugged each other which show how they really missed each other. The movie ended reminiscing the past of Saroo.

1.       What life lessons can be learned from the movie?

-          I think the love for the family. That a family- as a smallest societal unit where love can be found and developed. That no matter how you stand in the society, it is important to reminisce and show respect to the one who gave birth to you and raised you.

2.       What part told by the story was the most powerful? Why?

-          The scene in the where he was adopted by good Aussies. Because imagine, what if he is not given to a good adopted parents? Then he would probably not be agood grown up man looking back to his past and giving importance.

3.       Who was your favourite character in the story?

-          Saroo himself. I like his determination towards his struggles.

4.       Did anything that happened in the movie remind you of something that has occurred in your life or others?

-          None.

5.       If you had a chance to ask a character in this movie, what would it be?

-          To the Australian couple, why did you chose an Indian boy as an adopted son?

WONDER AUGGIE

WONDER

  AUGGIE PULLMAN, is born with facial deformity. He always hides his face inside the astraunot helmet.   He had 27 surgeries. He wanted to be an ordinary kid. Auggie know one persons’ personality based on the shoes they wear. Auggie loves science. He loves being an astraunot.  Her mother wants to send him to school, a real school at 5th Grade, but be isn’t ready yet. When he saw some of his schoolmates he just looked down and he is shy. When Auggie started school, eyes are on him. While her sister Via loss her bestfriend, Auggie found his friend, Jack, Augiie helped him during their exams in science, auggie and jack are togeteher when playing, eating and many more. but one time, auggie caught jack talking behind his back that burst him into tears.  Then one time, Mr. Tushman called Mrs. Pullman that Auggie has a fever. Then Mrs. Pullman immediately went to school , but Via is jealous for the time they are giving to Auggie. Then days had passed, Jack and Auggie has been friends again just like Via and Miranda. During their Science Fair, Jack and Auggie invented a camera that got them ito the first place. they went into a field trip, then they were in a room and going to  watch a film but Auggie and Jack chose to escape until they got into the woods and attacked by a group of teenagers. But then there comes their classmates, who in the first, hated Auggie so much, but then they rescued Auggie and came friends. The movie then just ended in a Graduation Ceremony, where Auggie received an award for his kindness. He then just realized that despite the trials, he built his solid circle of friends.

1.       What life lessons can be learned from the movie?

-          One great lesson that hit me is that no matter who you are, what you are, your differences, it is not a hindrance to be friends with others. At first, let them say what they want to say, but always remember, do not quit because at the end of the day, you’re still you and you cannot please everybody to be friends with you. Just be yourself and be confident with your flaws.

2.       What part told by the story was the most powerful? Why?

-          The scene in the classroom where Mr. Browne, who always have his precepts of the month and asked Summer to explain a precept then Summer answered. “ The things we do are the things that matter most”. I strongly agree that the story revolves around this saying. Every scene you analyse, the answer is this saying.

3.       Who was your favourite character in the story?

-          His mom, Mrs. Pullman. Because it is not easy to have a child with differences just like Auggie’s situation. I love her being determined, courageous and resilient. That despite her hardship in raising her child, Auggie came a better and kindhearted boy.

4.       Did anything that happened in the movie remind you of something that has occurred in your life or others?

-          Yes. I think the friendship scenes. That we live by friends and our life revolves around them so no matter how painful they did to us, we cannot just simply get them out of our life, instead they are always welcome in case they wanted to go back.

5.       If you had a chance to ask a character in this movie, what would it be?

-          Mrs. Pullman, how do you feel when you hear  criticisms about your son?

GADGET: CELLULAR PHONE

This phone that I am doing a review today is my personal use.  So I bought it December 29,2017. At first, I also watched gadget reviews to find the best phone that suits me. Then my cousin bought the same phone as mine, I did a quick tour and I find it amazing so I bought  it. And now I am sharing you my experience with this phone that I am using for 9 months.

Huawei gadgets nowadays are on trend. Luckily, I have one. Upon seeing this smartphone, I’m impressed with its outer appearance, its camera, the fingerprint sensor and its features. With is friendly price, not bad for a classy phone.

OUTER APPEARANCE

What I love about this phone is it have it’s fingerprint sensor, which you can answer calls and take photos. It is handy and easy to place in the pocket. The screen of this phone is 2D curved. The back part of the phone is made up of tempered glass, which sometimes I use it as my mirror. It is abuilt-in phone, the new trend.

CAMERA

I love the way it takes photos, even selfies. There are variety of choices for taking photos and amazing filters.

PERFORMANCE

I used to play games to this phone and I like its performance. However, with lots of amazing games, 16 gb is not enough. A MicroSD card is used to store more files.

 To sum up everything, I highly recommend this gadget especially for students. It is super handy and has a nice sound for music. When bought, the box includes, a Charger, Sim Card Ejector, Earphones, and a free Case.

This phone has 3 available colors: The Black, Gold and Blue. I chose Black because it looks so elegant.

YOU GOT TO KNOW ME WELL!

Hello Philippines and Hello World. I am Carl Joey M. Malabanan, 16 years of age. I live at Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, from the islands of the Philippines. I study at St. Paul University Philippines a Senior High School, Grade 11- PERIDOT student. I took STEM as my strand to fulfil my childhood dream.

I love studying and music.   It is such an honor to be part of growing blogging community. Starting a blog is exciting.  It will such be an honor to impart my knowledge and skills to the community. I am here to start my blog, and this is my very first blog, it seems to be exciting as I take this new environment. I am blogging publicly, because I feel like I can express myself freely than keeping it on a personal journal. Personal journals are somehow used by some, but blogging publicly, through gadgets is the new trend. We are in era of modern society, where we are surrounded by technologies. I would love to write about music, gadgets and most of all food. If this blog will be successful in the succeeding years, then I would probably continue doing as a hobby and to get intact in the social world.  Blogging is a popular hobby. When I heard the world “blog”, the first thing entered into my mind is that of making your own video. But then I realized, it is a “vlog”. Vlogging  is more on making videos while blogging is focused on writing, on my own perspective.

Interest. Honestly I am not into sports,  but I do play volleyball and badminton. I also love music. I love listening to RnB, Pop, Acoustics and OPM. I love Boyz II Men, Sam Smith and others. I love taking photos, and I am focusing and exploring on editing photos and videos.

I am very optimistic person I look forward for greater opportunities, and I hope that blogging community will help me achieve it. I am very sociable person.  I value friendship. I love meeting new individuals, whom I can be with , lean-on in times of problems and spread laughter.  My goal in life is that to make a way to help the society or the community I live in. Give them the necessary care they need. My childhood dream is to be a physician, so if God will allow, I will forever be grateful for this blessing.
