I have been trying sooo hard to find a specific trope in books and I don't know what to call it. Almost always happens in enemies to lovers but where the FMC did something in order to save someone or something that the MMC, usually the enemy, finds despicable and he bullies her for it but she hides the real reason why she did it no matter what. Then somehow it comes out, usually from another source and after she's in danger or whatever, and he's like...ohhh. I fucked up!.....you know? I want that trope but I want angst. I want pain. I want to physically hurt while reading it. I want tears running down my face. But then I want the HEA. Specific, I know.
