- The Flight Deck -

Another sunny day and today I am able to get inside the flight deck while the engineers was doing his work. The aircraft was so messy since it just landed. It was a great experience to be able to get in the flight deck and see how the engineers work on it.

- The Next Day -

Today was a sunny and hot day. I have the chance to be in the bridge and see how the ramp crew work with it. I am also able to see the aircraft coming really close. I realize that doing the bridge thing is not as easy as it looks and it needs to be careful and precise.

- July 19 -

Today is my first time going to the gate. I was able to take pictures with the aircraft during arrival. It was so windy today thats why my hair was messed up. I also meet with the ramp agents and engineering team at work.

~ 30 Years Event ~

Today we are celebrating 30 years for Cathay Pacific in Toronto at Sheraton Hotel. We had a nice meal, good talk, and also I was lucky to get Cathay passport holder from the lucky draw. I have the chance to meet people at Cathay from different departments and the CEOs.

- The Other Day -

Most of the time, I have my breakfast around 7 in the morning, since I need almost 2 hours to get to the airport. Cathay morning shift is from 11 am to 3 pm, I used to get myself a smoothie or protein bar before work. However, I am getting hungry sometimes after work, and I usually get a snack or food before leaving if it is available. Burak said to try the samosas in the kitchen and it is really good.

- The Next Week Shifts -

The weather was mostly cloudy and a bit windy. At this time, the elevator that is close to the office was still not working, hence, we need to prepare the counters and totems early since we are walking further. During the week, I feel more comfortable and confident at work, in queue, SSBD, or kiosk position.

Saturday, May 18

Today, I will be covering the kiosk position for my shift. At kiosk, I am able to assist passengers to get their bag tags, boarding pass, and make sure they have their E-Travel ready for passengers going to Philippines. Sometimes, it is a challenge to help passengers who do not speak english, but I try my best to assist them. Overall, it is a fun shift and I enjoy it.

Monday, May 13

This is my first day for my shift as Cathay Pacific Ambassador. I woke up early since I am doing morning shift. However, I almost late since the subway was down and I need to wait for shuttle bus, hence, I have decided to order Uber on that time so that I can arrive early. We start the day by filling the supplies on Dim Sum cart that will be use on the counter. I have the chance to be place in baggage or SSBD position at first where I can assist passenger to check-in their bags.

Thursday, May 9

Today I will be attending cathay pacific orientation day for my field placement. During orientation, we are given insights and further understanding regarding the airline, our duties, regulations and policies. Uniform fitting was also held during the day and I have the chance to bring all set of the uniform. Overall, it was a great first impression, Cathay Pacific team are nice and they are very welcome.
