cauliflower + poodle Throwing this Thursday back to many Thursday’s ago during my last pass through San Francisco. Being back here immediately triggered all the feels that makes this particular #combophoto one of the more memorable ones for me. Everything about it reminds me of why I enjoy making these things. The spontaneity in which it happened, the rapidly changing lighting conditions, the running around the hilly streets of Pacific Heights looking for cauliflower, the dead camera battery and lastly the post hill-climb asthma attack. There’s nothing like creating a photo that gets your blood pumping. #tbt (at Pacific Heights, San Francisco)

“ Dr. Gary Fettke is an Orthopaedic Surgeon practising in Launceston, Australia. Along with his wife Belinda, Gary has also opened the 'Nutrition for Life – Diabetes and Health Research Centre' based in Launceston which provides nutritional care around Tasmania and Australia.
Gary has a longstanding interest in the preventative aspects of health outcomes, particularly before operating on his patients. Recently an AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)  investigation into Gary’s qualifications to give nutritional advice has concluded. This investigation (which lasted for more than two years) has resulted in Gary being issued a ‘caution’.
The Medical Board of Tasmania, under the umbrella of the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Authority, have advised him; ”In particular, that he does not provide specific advice or recommendations on the subject of nutrition and how it relates to the management of diabetes or the treatment and/or prevention of cancer.” “

You are going to want to make this ice cream like right now. It seriously tastes like a vanilla shake or a frosty from Wendy’s.
½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk ½ cup heavy cream 1 tsp vanilla 2 Tbs sweetener (I use Swerve which is a sugar alcohol so you subtract the carbs from this)
Put these ingredients into a zip lock bag.
Put ice and 6 Tbs kosher salt into a larger bag. Put smaller bag into larger bag. Shake for 10-15 mins.

Slow Cooker Recipe!!!!
I love using the slow cooker, especially in the winter! I love the simplicity of it and how my house smells delicious when I come home from work!
When I made this I was craving meatballs and soup so I decided to put them together! I found this recipe from peaceloveandlowcarb.com but tweaked it a little to make it even lower in carbs.
Let’s get started!
Ingredients: *32 oz. Beef Stock *1 Medium Zucchini, Spiraled into Zoodles *2 Stalks Celery, Sliced *½ Small White Onion, Diced *1 Medium Tomato, Diced *1 ½ teaspoon Garlic Salt *1 ½ pound Ground Beef *½ Cup Parmesan Cheese, shredded *6 Cloves Garlic, Minced *1 Egg *4 Tablespoons dried Parsley, Chopped *1 ½ teaspoon Salt *1 ½ teaspoon Onion Powder *1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning *1 teaspoon Dried Oregano *½ teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions: *Heat slow cooker on low setting. *Add beef stock, celery, onion, tomato, and garlic salt to the slow cooker. Cover. *In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Parmesan, garlic, egg, parsley, sea salt, onion powder, oregano, Italian seasoning, and pepper. *Mix until all ingredients and form into approximately 30 meatballs. *Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add meatballs and brown on all sides. No need to worry about cooking them all the way through as they will be going into the slow cooker. *Add meatballs to slow cooker, cover and cook for 6 hours. *Add the Zoodles and cook for another 15 minutes. Enjoy!
This recipe was so good! I know I will be making this a lot!!
Share your pictures and thanks for reading!!
