Why i have been absent & Dealing with my dads Suicide!
Hey my lovelies,
The loss of a parent is life-changing in so many ways. The loss through suicide is simply devastating.
Suicide.
It’s a word that feels like a mouthful of tacks in my mouth that I am unable to spit out. I struggle with the sharpness as I search for a way to own the words I need to say. There is no easy way to force these words through the tiny crevice that is now my throat. With…

Hey Dolls,
Can we take a moment and just look at these gorgeous colours in the BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Eyeshadow Palette. Now i know that this palette has been out for several years but i came across it recently on a shopping trip and i just couldn’t resist.
You can pick up this palette from beautybay for £18.00, you get 18 baked eyeshadows in this palette look beautiful and I reckon you can really create some amazing looks from this palette.
I think the name is very catchy, The palette comes in a purple cardboard packaging and is beautifully designed to complement the nature of galaxy theme and i love that it has a mirror. Sometimes i have found that baked eyeshadows can be hard to work with but this palette is amazing the texture and pigmentation is amazing.  All the shades are very soft and easy to pick and the pigmentation is intense. These shades can also be used wet but i haven’t tried this method yet. Every shade has a beautiful pattern embossed on them reflecting their names. The swatches might look repeated but they are different in their undertones.
Below are all the colours i swatched in the Galaxy Chic Palette from BH Cosmetics.
The swatches in order from left to right are Sun: The Dusky Rose Gold shade with warm undertones. It is highly pigmented with soft texture. Jupiter: Is a medium pink shade with satin finish. It is highly pigmented and has a very nice texture. Prometheus: A medium burgundy shade with a bit of pale yellow. It has very good pigmentation with a shimmery finish. Aphrodite: Is maroon shade with satin finish. It is highly pigmented like the others and have soft texture. Milky Way: A cool toned lilac pink shade with shimmery finish. It is highly pigmented and has a soft texture. Cosmic: A Shimmery lavender shade which is highly pigmented and has a soft texture. Saturn: A Rosy pink shade with white gold shimmer. It has very good pigmentation and soft texture. Venus: A lovely bright orange shade with shimmery finish. It is highly pigmented with soft texture. Meteor: A very pale green shade mixed with a white shade. It has shimmery finish with high pigmentation. Comet: It is a pale green shimmery shade with intense pigmentation.
The last and final swatches from left to right the swatches are Earth: A sky blue shade mixed with white. It is highly pigmented and has a shimmery finish. Neptune: A deep ocean blue with warm undertones. It is a highly pigmented shade with satin finish. Mercury: A very light pinkish brown shade with a shimmery finish. It is highly pigmented as well. Mars: This is a copper shade with red hues, it is highly pigmented with a shimmery finish. Asteroid: This is a deep brown shade mixed with blue becomes a most beautiful colour. It has warm red undertones with high pigmentation and a shimmery finish. Electra: A light icy blue with a sliver shimmer shade. Moon: A cool tone slate Grey shade with satin finish with intense pigmentation and a lovely soft texture. Eclipse: A Cool Toned gun-metal shade with mauve undertones and satin finish, it is highly pigmented as well.
The whole of the palette has beautiful unique colours and i am totally in love with it, very pigmented and you can also make them more intense with a wet brush to make them pop even more. The only downside I found was that there was some fall out with some of the shades but it was manageable. I always do my eyeshadow before my foundation so it is much easier to cover fallout, I found when blending the colours together it was easier to go in with a light hand and build up the colours rather than a heavy hand and get more product and fall out than you want. When applying the colours to the lid i found that it was easier to either pat the colours onto your eyelid with  either with your finger or a flat eyeshadow brush.

How did you find the colours?

Hey Dolls,
I recently purchased quite a few items from Superdrug, one of the items I purchased was the Maybelline Temptation Palette £11.99 is a ten-shade cheek and eye palette with eight eye shadows and two highlighters.
The Maybelline Temptation Palette has a beautiful mix of both warm and cool shades. The palette comes in a lightweight plastic compact. I like that it has a see through lid which allows you to see all the shades. The palette is arranged into three different sections on the right hand side you have warm shades of browns, peaches and golds. The second section has two matching highlighters, The third section is made up of  cool tones of mauve, violet and charcoal shades.
The eyeshadows are very soft and silky, they are powdery but i felt that they werent drying in the least. I found some of them applied quite sheer and chalky. They did not appear to apply well to my eyelids as i was blending them the shadows were coming off, I wasn’t able to build up any colour at all which was very disappointing as the palette looked beautiful.
The two highlighters in this palette are truly lovely, they applied smoothly and gave a great look. The two highlighters surprised me as the eyeshadows in the palette were not up to par, They lasted longer than 7 hours and every time I checked it looked like I had just applied it.
I am usually a huge fan of Maybelline’s eyeshadows, but I was so disappointed with this palette that I couldn’t honestly recommend it to you.
Have you tried the Maybelline Total Temptation Palette?
What did you think of the palette?

Hey Dolls,
I have another review for you today, Yesterday i reviewed the Revolution Fast Based Foundation Stick. Today I’m reviewing the Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer, i probably should have reviewed it before the foundation as i have had it for ages.(this image has been taken direct from revolutionbeauty.com and the swatches are from pinintrest)
I was so excited to try the revolution conceal and define concealer, Revolution Beauty came out with 18 shades of the conceal and define concealers when they first launched, ranging from C1-C18; C1 being the lightest and C18 darkest or the darkest; It also has cool and warm undertones. Since the first launch they have since added more shades C0, C0.5, C6.5, C10.5, C12.5, C13.5 and then they also have an Orange, Green and Banana. That is a total of 24 shades along with the colour correcting conceal and define shades, which is amazing for a drugstore brand.
Revolution Conceal and Define comes with a doe foot applicator which is brilliant for application when highlighting and contouring and also helps the application when concealing imperfections you want to get rid of. It comes in a glass cylinder bottle with a rose gold lid and a rose gold label, I like the packaging it looks really good and expensive and more of a highend makeup. The best part is that it is only £4.00, you can pick it up from Superdrug or Revoltionbeauty.
I had the highest of high exceptions for this concealer as it has been so hyped up and compared to tate shape tape in the makeup world and it did not let me down. I purchased shades C7 and C14, C14 is perfect for contouring and C7 is a perfect match for my skin tone and covers all my blemishes. I should have also got a lighter colour to highlight my under eyes and other areas. It is so good and definitely full coverage which I am the biggest fan off, It really is long wearing and has a perfect matte finish.

Hey Dolls
I have been so bad at posting late a lot has been going on in my personal life but i am going to make the effort to get back to what i love doing and i also have three drawers full of new makeup that i have been testing to review.
I know I’m a little late to the game when it comes to the Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation but better late than never.
I’ve never used a stick foundation I’ve always been a liquid kind of girl and never been interested in stick foundations before but really wanted to try it. This is a creamy stick foundation in the most gorgeous packaging for a drugstore foundation. It is plastic, but it is a pretty eggshell shade and when you open it up, the barrel inside is rose gold.
The Revolution fast base foundation stick contains 6.2g of product, It’s vegan and cruelty free and costs just £5 it can be purchased from superdrug or from the revoltuion beauty website. The foundation comes in 18 shades to suit different undertones. Like with their conceal and define concealer, this is probably one of the most inclusive and diverse shade ranges from a drugstore brand.
I chose shade F7 the foundation is very creamy and has a dewy finish. Blending was also effortless with a damp blender and medium to full coverage can easily be achieved. I didn’t notice any transfer, and it didn’t overly settle into the lines around my mouth and nose. It also has a really great finish. I feel like it made my skin look good considering i usually prefer a matte finish.
To finish my makeup I applied the conceal and define concealer to my chin, under eyes and forehead area, blending it out with my beauty blender. To set my under eyes forehead and chin in place using my Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in translucent and used a light dusting over the rest of my face. I also applied my usual makeup: contour, bronzer, highlight, eyebrows, mascara & lips.
Overall I absolutely love this foundation and with amazing results for just £5.00 it’s the cheapest foundation I’ve ever bought and tried and i don’t think i will be reaching for many other foundations for a while as i love it although I’ll definitely need to use a powder to set my oily areas to help it last longer through the day. Makeup Revolution are totally smashing it in the makeup industry at the moment with amazing new products every five minutes.

What did you think of it?

Hey Dolls
I recently browsing online buying make-up for up and coming posts and one of the items i bought was the E.L.F. Prep & Blur Stick it’s a face primer stick with a silicone-free formula that smooths fine lines and visible pores while prepping for makeup.
I like that the E.L.F. Prep & Blur Stick is a nice chunky swivel up stick and is very affordable at £9.00 for 16g of product. I really wanted to like this prep & Blur stick and it did have some good qualities but more not so good for me.
I found that the formula leaves a lot to be desired. The lack of moisture and silicone in this formula make for a less than smooth application and I really struggled to smooth it into my skin, I was tugging this on my skin rather than smoothing it into place.
It contains witch hazel and it will mattify excess oil immediately which lord knows I could do with, it creates a smooth, even surface and even made my large pores disappear. It does contain some very good moisture binding agents but there are a few irritants as well lower on the list of ingredients like lavender oil and zinc oxide. However, and this was a big flaw for me once I started applying my foundation it started giving my skin a patchy look that was less than smooth.
I love a lot of E.L.F. products but sadly this formula isn’t a win for me. It’s cheap yes, it has nice packaging, but it will be something I wont use again and couldn’t in good faith recommend it to you dolls.
E.L.F. Prep & Blur Stick can be purchased for £9.00 from E.L.F.
Have you tried the E.L.F. Prep & Blur Stick?
What did you think?

Hey Dolls,
I’m ashamed to say I’ve had this palette since October and have used it so many time but I just haven’t got around to posting my review for it.
Chloe Morello has collaborated with Ciate London for a second time and created the Chloe Morello Pretty, Fun, Fearless Volume II, if you are unsure of who Chloe Morello is she has a YouTube channel and I really have a lot of respect her and enjoy watching her channel. I unfortunately didn’t manage to try her first palette with Ciate, so I couldn’t wait to try palette out.
The set comes with a beautiful 20 pan eyeshadow palette, full size Fierce Flicks liquid liner, Mini Wonderwand Mascara and a Mini Liquid Velvet in the shade Sydney. The shades include a mix of warm and cool tones with a few pops of colour. I think the colour selection for this palette is excellent because you can do so many different looks with these shades.
The formula for this palette really impressed me, the mattes are pigmented and so easy to blend and can be built up easily. The shimmers are incredibly easy to work with some were sheer but is to build up and once I spread my brush they were even more lovely.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the eye look I created with the Chloe Morello Palette, I set my eyeshadow primer with the shade Topless and then ran Nini into my crease as my transition shade. I then took Pony in my crease which is a beautiful mauve shade. I then took the shade Violet which is an amazing matte berry shade to deepen my crease I went from the outer corner into the crease. From there I took the shade jelly bean all over my lid with a wet brush. To deepen up my crease even more I went in with the shade Maron and brought it down to my water line, Finally I took that lovely shade violet again and blended out on and just under my waterline and i used Halo in my inner corners.
Tumblr media
I never added the Fierce Flicks liner to this look because I’m just not that confident on liquid liners I really need to get over my fear. I finished this look of with the amazing Wonderwand mascara It added so much length to my quite short eyelashes I was really surprised.
The liquid lipstick in the shade Sydney is a beautiful deep rose shade. The formula is very opaque and not drying and beautiful on the lips
The Chloe Morello Pretty, Fun, Fearless Volume II can be purchased online for £27.99 and it is a decent price considering the beautiful products you get. I would recommend trying it out if you haven’t already.
Have you tried Chloe Morello’s Pretty, Fun, Fearless Volume II?

Hey Dolls Hope you all have had a good weekend! The Revlon Colorstay Exactify Liquid Liner is £8.99, and you get 1g of product, it’s a liquid liner with a wheel tip applicator that seriously reminds me of a pizza cutter and before I used it scared me to death. The wheel tip applicator is supposed to make it easier and fuss-free when you apply it. I am not great at applying liquid liner so even…

Hey Dolls
Hope you all are enjoying the snow we currently have in the UK. The Too Faced Clover Eyeshadow Palette is £39.99 and is a 18-pan eyeshadow palette that was inspired by Clover Jerrod and Jeremy’s adorable chihuahua. My sister bought me this palette for Christmas and I hadn’t got around to trying it out until recently. I love how cute this palette is and I personally think that Too Faced are doing an amazing thing by donating $250,000 to the Best Friends Animal Society.
Too Faced Clover Eyeshadow Palette holds 18 eyeshadows which has an even number off mattes and shimmer colours. Its cruelty free but unfortunately it is not vegan free, the palette is a tin compact and has a good-sized mirror. The artwork on the outside has a raised design on the actual palette with some of the graphics also appearing around the mirror located inside.
I really hate that I was disappointed with this palette I really thought it would be good but unfortunately, I is hit or miss with the colours in this palette. Some of the colours were quite dry and didn’t stay on my lid, when I tried to blend in another colour on top of the shade TF Mascot which is a violet shade with fuchsia sparkle it kept coming off. I found that the worst colour in this palette was puppy love which is the white pearl colour with silver glitter in. It was very patchy, and you could not layer it kept coming off it worked on the corner of my eye, but I am not a fan of this colour at all.
There were a few colours in the palette that I absolutely loved, Best Friends is a purple with teal shift, Lucky Clover which is a shimmery mint green, spoiled which is a light shimmery blue and cuteness overload which is a creamy beige shimmer. I also liked most of the matte colours overall the packaging was cute, but I thought the quality of the Too Faced Clover Eyeshadow Palette was nothing like what you would think a Too Faced Palette should be like.
Have you tried the Too Faced Clover Eye Shadow Palette?
What did you think of the colours?
Do you think it was worth the money?

Hey Dolls Rimmel Lasting Finish 25HR Breathable Foundation is a lightweight foundation is £8.99 and is currently on 3 for 2 at superdrug.
