Despite the fact that I am not deaf, mute, or blind myself, one of the most common questions I receive is how to portray characters with these disabilities in fiction.

Rationally, I am entirely 100% aware that the little handmade soaps that we made by hand are soap. I was there when we made them, we made those soaps. They, however, are the exact perfect colour and apparent consistency of uncooked cake batter, and were not only poured into muffin moulds, but were brought home in a cake box, so every single time my eyes land on them, the opportunistic omnivore monkey in my brain goes treat??? for me???
