Moving C4D Personal Project from Chicoh on Vimeo.
I've been studying 3D stuff for a while, then realized that the best way to develop this new skill could be taking it as a real project from scratch to finish. So I did it and this film is the result. If you want, please feel free to drop me a line, give your opinion, critics, suggestions or just chat a bit. ; )

Janek Murd - AVA from Tolm on Vimeo.
AVA is an experimental 3D animated music video for Janek Murd - an Estonian musician and composer.
Ava explores the constant cycle of life - be it a breath of air, passing of a day, a full turn of the year, or a journey from one's birth to death.
AVA (meaning 'opening' or 'to open' in Estonian) opens with flashes in the darkness and then follows different ideas of what one does with the suddenly gifted freedom and curiosity of finding out, where it will all end up when the cycle comes to a close.
AVA is the first single from Janek Murd's new album 'VIIV'. You can listen and support the artist on Bandcamp: janekmurd.bandcamp.com/album/viiv

Kvadrat REALLY from FRAME on Vimeo.
Frame was thrilled to partner with the global leaders in textiles, Kvadrat to create a film that showcases the groundbreaking products developed by Really. The range includes Solid Textile Board, Solid Textile Board Melamine, Acoustic Textile Felt and Acoustic Textile Felt FR- all high-quality engineered materials made from end-of-life cotton and wool sourced from fashion and textile industries, industrial laundries and cut offs from Kvadrat.
The creative challenges was to communicate Really’s unique approach to upcycling textiles, in order to create materials that challenge the design and architecture industries to rethink their use of resources and to design their products with a circular economy in mind.
By producing the film in full CG, there was a great freedom in being able to combine photo-real look and abstract elements in order to visualise the life-cycle of the materials and how Really is pioneering a process that achieves a new standard in sustainable materials.

Creativity Explained - On Type with Erik Spiekermann from oddfellows on Vimeo.
Legendary German designer Erik Spiekermann discusses the importance of typography and offers sage advice for anyone getting started.
Creativity, Explained is an animated series from Adobe that explores the fundamental principles of art and design. Part education, part inspiration, each segment is voiced by a luminary in the field and provides highly relevant advice for hobbyists and working creatives alike.
Our challenge was to create a consistent storytelling approach and wrap it in an aesthetic unique to each topic while feeling like part of a cohesive series. In this first segment "On Type," we took visual and kinetic inspiration from analogue typesetting and letterpress printing and combined it with the infinitely undo-able dynamics of contemporary digital design.

Blake Mills | Money Is The One True God from Lachlan Turczan on Vimeo.
A kaleidoscope of currency reveals what humans have valued over time.
Directed and animated by Lachlan Turczan Music by Blake Mills
designboom.com/art/lachlan-turczan-animates-banknotes-money-is-the-one-true-god-09-03-2021/
I made hi-resolution scans of banknotes from 23 countries ranging from the 1800s to the modern-day. Machine learning was used to further enhance these scans so that I could zoom in on the intricacies of the engravings. Using replacement animation techniques, the guilloché patterns wash over the viewer in a barrage of linework and geometry. Iconic scenes throughout history are also shown: the age of exploration leads to industrialization, wonders of the world are replaced by office buildings and icons of freedom stand in stark contrast to images of slavery. The project culminates with the collective eyes of all world leaders staring back at the audience.

Svoboda ft. Alex Volokhov from Liam Mullany on Vimeo.
Svoboda is a Slavic word tied to an expression of freedom. Mountain bike athlete Alex Volokhov conveys that sense of creativity through his own riding and trail-building, with values further ingrained into him from the considerable time he spent with the late Jordie Lunn.
The cumulative months spent completely alone in the pouring rain hauling dirt or digging through difficult roots are completely justified in the pursuit of creation, and giving life to an idea built from the ground up.

Fragments of Hanoi from Ryan Gasparini on Vimeo.
Hanoi is a place unlike any I've been to before - it's loud, busy, and can be a complete sensory overload. Stay a while, though, and it slowly starts to make sense. I tried to create a video that captures the sensation of traveling somewhere culturally foreign for the first time, through the form of my own experiences of spending two weeks in Vietnam's capital city.
Filmed on a Sony a7s. Shot, edited and scored by me.

WiFi Impressionist from R Vijgen on Vimeo.
Drawing Electromagnetic Landscapes.
WiFi Impressionist is a field installation inspired by the cityscapes of William Turner that imagines the city as an electromagnetic landscape. The work consists of a directional antenna on a pan-tilt mechanism that listens for WiFi signals and builds a three dimensional model of the signals around it. From this model a viewport is selected that defines the perspective and the frame. Signals that are picked up within the frame are visualised as waves emitted from a specific origin and drawn using a mobile plotter. The antenna and the plotter are both mounted on a tripod and can be placed in the field much like a painter would set up his easel. Once positioned and oriented a drawing becomes denser over time depending on the density of networks around it. Wherever there is a WiFi signal, the drawing will eventually fill the frame.

Mark Boulton - The Ugly Truth about Design Systems from Front Conference Zurich on Vimeo.
Design systems are great for scaling design across complex organisations and products. But in our drive for scale, consistency and standards, have we considered the risks and the cost? What are the problems we may face and how can we overcome them? In this talk, Mark will expose the ugly truth of rolling out design systems; from engineering and code, to designers and stakeholders and provide guidance from his experience of producing design systems for over a decade.
About
Mark leads digital communications at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) where he’s building delivery teams, developing a design system for Life Sciences, and trying to figure out how to scale design in a scientific environment where the bottom line is discovery not dollars.
Prior to working at EMBL, Mark was Design Director at Monotype where he led scaling of a new design system across the company’s portfolio of products. Previously, Mark ran a design studio and worked on design systems for CERN, Al Jazeera, and ESPN.
Mark lives in Wales with his wife, two daughters and a dog that thinks it’s a bear.

Play Collection from YLLW on Vimeo.
Play how you want to play, be whoever you want to be
Whether it’s exploring a galaxy far far away, attending a school for wizards or hunting out hidden treasures, our imagination is limitless. ‘Play’ is a series of shorts delving into the wonder of childhood and exploring playtime without boundaries.
We wanted to reminisce and hark back to a more lo-fi approach to playtime, where dressing up and using make-believe anything is possible, think jumpers for goalposts, sticks as swords and a sock-puppet-chest-bursting-xenomorph-creature from Alien, with a little help from some ketchup.
Go Play!
