It has been a long module and a lot of work has gone into it so I’m going to recap on my final pieces.

Final Fairtrade Video

Overall, I am pleased with the outcomes of the video. However, it’s not perfect and there is room for improvement. If I had more time I would make the edges around the smoke smoother and I would time it better to the music. 

However, the use of an upbeat song and bright colours makes the tea brand appealing and exciting. Most Fairtrade videos are quite serious, whereas this video aimed to show that Fairtrade products can be around the same price and still have an amazing range. The water drop and hitting sound effect makes the video more memorable and fun. Furthermore, the simple use of stop-motion animation to make the teabag and box fall is effective and smooth. I’ve tied the video and billboard design together by using tea leave typography; this makes it consistent and shows it’s part of the same advertisement.

Portfolio Part 1

I have been sending my complete portfolio out to smaller agencies based in Digbeth as right now, I want to stay local. I want to stay local because I would feel more comfortable and o feel my work is best suited to them types of agencies- the busy life of London is not for me. I have also been looking at job positions in the charity sector as this is something I am passionate about and that reflects in my work.

For the autism experience I want to keep it a mystery as much as possible from the outside. I’ve called it ‘Sensory Experience’, so that passersby will know that it will play on your senses but they won’t know why or to what extent. I’ve chosen to do this because I think it will be more powerful to let people go in not knowing what it’s for, experience it all and then to find out that is how autistic people feel. 

Outside will be a sign daring to people to enter; this is similar to the Derren Brown ghost train idea. This will hopefully entice people to go inside. For the sign I’ve chosen to have a dark background and white text to resemble a horror theme. This will make passersby more interested about what is inside.
